Hello,
Trying to buy a new Corolla LE 2015 and i keep getting some outrageous MF's of 0.0054. What is the current MF of the LE for 36/24 months and residual if you know?
Also do you think any of these two discounts are good 17177 off of 20044 MSRP or 17259/19565

Toyota lease numbers are highly regional ... in the information I have, I saw three different MF's alone for the 2015 Corolla (.00001, .00030 and .00199).

But, .00054 seems right, given Toyota's desire to move metal.

Residuals are 72% and 64%.. unless it is an LE Premium, then subtract 5% from the residual.

In some areas of the country, we see a .00030 MF, but I've got nothing specific for the Midwest.

62% and 57% residual.. money factors vary... as noted above, .00030 seems most prevalent.

52% (48/12), but no 48 month MF is listed.

Residual for 42/12 on the Corolla S Premium is 56%. There aren't any MF numbers for lease terms longer than 36 months, however.

Toyota leasing numbers are highly regional, and the numbers we have are for the "base" MSRP - Toyota does not residualize their options the same way other manufacturers do.

Sadly, it makes for leasing a Toyota a difficult process.

Subtract 5% to go from S Plus to S Premium. MF stays the same as above.

No information on whether GAP is included in Toyota leases.

That's true... TFS leases do NOT include GAP

Is this a good deal? Or can I make it any better? It is so hard to figure out with the way that Toyota does there residuals. The numbers that are provided (thankfully I might add) don't appear to be very helpful on any model that has extra equipment. The dealers instead of using a set % for each model, they obtain a Lease end value for each VIN in their inventory? So there is no way of knowing which equipment is residualized or not? So here are my numbers.

This is in Massachusetts.

2015 Toyota Corolla S Plus A/T w/ Driver Conv Pkg, Moonroof, Carpet Mats. MSRP of $23,255. According to Edmunds invoice price on that vehicle is $21,486.

The lease is for 36 months 15k per year. They have a Lease end value for this car of $13,052 which computes to a 56.13% (Different than the 63% I was given on this forum) which I know has a ton to do with the way Toyota residualizes their cars.

I am putting down $1,000 total out of pocket. and the payment with 6.25% tax is $237.36.

Amount due at start add up to $1,629 of which $1,000 is out of pocket leaving 629 to be added to the cap cost.

Of which broken down are:
$650 Acq Fee
$495 Doc Fee
$5 Title Fee
$135 Plates
$35 Sticker
$237.36 1st Month's Payment
$71.88 Taxes due on the (650,495,5 fees)

How did I do?

Leasing Toyotas can be a bit frustrating, for the reasons you mention.

Bottom line - $237/mo with tax on a car that retails for $23K is a good deal. Enjoy your new Corolla!

Just out of curiosity, why do people choose to lease vs own? I pay $260 a month to own my new Corolla, and that was with no money down or any out of pocket expenses, others could do better with interest free loans. Lifetime warranty through the dealer. 2 year ToyotaCare.

I guess I just fail to understand the purpose of a lease. Is it just to have a new car every few years? Or business usage?

Yes. In general, if you want a new car every few years, leasing is cheaper than financing in both monthly payment and total cost of use after 24/36 months.
