We're heading to another dealership this weekend. The prices I quoted above were based on the dealership wanting to only talk monthly lease rate and seem high to me? I'm trying to see if $250-range/mo for an Exclaim for 12mi/36mo is possible. Perhaps I'm way off. The advertised lease deal I keep seeing for a Base 2015 Kia Soul is $229mo/36 mo. Is the Exclaim that much more? Thanks

Money factor is slightly higher, residuals are 2% lower, and it's a more expensive car to start with... .so, yes.. the monthly payment differential could be substantial.

The money factor and residual are correct.

Can't check the lease payment calculation without the MSRP. Net CAP cost would help, as well.

2015 Soul + 36/12k - MSRP $21,810, dealer discounts + bonus cash of $5,971, and lease acquisition fees of $750. MF of .00149 + 000.20 for tier 4 credit. PA tax 10%.

I'm getting a total monthly payment of $176.04. Is that correct?

The $1000 difference will add $28/mo to your lease payment, before tax.

The "dealer ad"? This isn't an actual offer you have? Big difference ... the dealer discount may include incentives that aren't applicable when you lease.

Please provide details for 2016 Soul Base with Automatic. 36 months; 12k miles in zip code 08724. It seems that there is a $500 lease cash. How does that work? it reduces the cap cost? Also there appears to be $1000 customer cash. Can that be used for a lease?

I assume it makes a difference to the MF but my credit is below average.

Sorry, another question. I plan to sell my current car which should net me about $4500. Does it make sense to use $4000 to reduce the cap cost or should I keep that $4000 to use to pay the monthly payments? I assume leasing works like financing so using the $4000 to reduce the cap cost would result in a lower total payment.

Soul Base 36/12 in NJ is .00121 and 59%. $500 lease cash. Lease cash can be used to lower the cap cost or cover the up front costs of a lease.

Customer cash is for purchases; not applicable for a lease.

Keep the equity from your old car; do not lower the cap cost with it. If the new car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.

Is the .00121 MF based on a lower credit tier or is that based on top tier? As I mentioned, mine is not great so I will not qualify for the top tier rates.

Also, when calculating the residual value, is the 59% calculated on the MSRP or actual cap cost?

.00121 MF is top tier. It goes up from there, depending on your credit.

Residual percentage is always applied to full MSRP

.00121 MF is top tier. It goes up from there, depending on your credit.

Would you have a rough idea of what the MF would be for a lower tier credit (score around 640)?

What gets impacted if lease is 10k miles? Residual value goes down?
