Please help me out here. The internet sales person at Buerkle is killing me! I'm giving him another chance to sell me a remainig 06 TL with OR without NAV and he starts by offering me a DEMO Non-Nav with 5.5K miles for 30.6K. I'm hoping that you know of another person over there because I'm really stuck. The internet guy at Bloomington is still unwilling to give me a price and I'd rather not go to either dealer if they are going to waste my valuable time.
My email address is visible in my profile.
-Frustrated in the Twin Cities
I did my homework and offered what I thought were reasonable low ball offers at the time and they bit...I went in with a list, by stock number, of cars I was interested in on their lot as well as the same for 3 other Acura dealers in the chicago area (created these lists on Sunday drive arounds)so they knew I was a motivated buyer. I had gone in 1 week earlier and test drove and ended up with a salesman's name/card. Had agreement on car prices before I went back with wife to test drive and do deal.
1st week in September I purchased a new 06 TL auto with Nav alabaster silver/quartz including destination price was $31,800 including $1k dealer cash plus add tx 7.2% and title.
They were also willing to honor a low ball bid on a new 06 TL w/o nav same color including destination of $29,800. My wife really liked nav so I went with that.
They were firm but nice to work with and would do again.
good luck
I sent you some information that may help you. Let me know how it turns out.

I was in Acura Mission Viejo and only a few nights ago, they wouldn't budge below $37k out the door for an '06 Black, Auto with Navi and Full Body kit (which is about $3k retail supposedly)... their sticker on it was $40k.
I ended up purchasing through a Car Shopper with my Credit Union for $35.4K out the door for the car (note this is with brand new, Auto, Nav and Body Kit)... that breaks down to $31.3k plus $900 for complete body kit, plus TTL.
Congrats on your KILLER deal.... I sure as hell am glad I didn't end-up buying there at Mission Viejo.
Price $29,200
Tax & Fees $2,144
Total $31,344
Dealer threw in Ipod link, mud guards, wheel locks and trunk mat.
Thanks a lot everyone.
Also for all those who have mixed feelings after reading other reviews on this forum about the interior squeaks, rough ride and uncomfortable seats, don't believe them!! This is one fine car!!
'06 Tl with Nav (includes mud guards and wheel locks)
White with Parchment interior
+ IPOD link
=30,800 + TTL
Mission Viejo was great to work with on this deal...guess I could have gotten out at 30.4 without the IPOD, but I figure it will be good to have. I believe this is the price to beat in SoCal (maybe the US) now. I do believe that the price will be going down a little more this month...but color choices may also begin to disappear.
I think the thing I enjoyed most about working with the dealership was despite cutting a deal close to their estimated net cost (including holdback) they took all the time to explain the car as if I was paying MSRP. Could not ask for more.
If you live in San Diego, just don't bother calling the local dealers...they are simply not interested in cutting into their holdback. They will be at least $1k higher. Mission Viejo is close enough anyway.
Good Luck.
2006 Acura TL
MSRP: $34,394
Internet Sale Price: $29,554
Dealer Doc. Fee: $395
6% Cobb County Sales Tax: $1,797
Title & WRA: $21
TOTAL DRIVE-OUT PRICE: $31,767.00
The dealer gave me an offer of 33,650, I then asked for 1500 less. Which he then knocked half off (750) and gave me corny "YOU WIN", not satisfied I then asked for 500 less and said I take that TL off your hands today. And sure enough he agreed. Maybe I could have got more off, At least I knoked 1,250 off of their asking price
The lesson here is haggle, assessories, price, whatever. All within reason, but push it a little see what happens.
Good Luck,

Where in VA and what dealership? Thanks...
My advice if you stuck then shop around. Get some email quotes from other cities. I simply forwarded the email from Madison to my guy as well as a copy of my offer to buy at another, nearby dealership and he caved pretty quickly.
It didn't hurt that the 07s are due in any day.
Final Price: 31,800 for a TL with NAV.
Any thoughts on my chances of getting an '07 TL with Nav for at or near invoice as they soon hit the dealer lots? I prefer the updated NAV system and like the look of the slightly modified front end. Thoughts/suggestions?
Many thanks!
Take a look at Message pages 243-245 (around message # 4800 and up) or so (from fall last year). Many were able to buy next model year TL's at $500-$1,000 over invoice. I am not interested in the Type-S (currently have an '03 TL-S) - just wondering if anyone has ordered an '07 yet and prices paid or other thoughts.
I just wish they'd come out with 3.9% on '06 and '07 TLs like they did the end of October last year on the '05 and '06 models.
Additional thoughts/strategies?
I'm also thinking of adding a Ron Jon kit later on. Has anybody added this kit? price?
I am now in market for 07 TL w/ navigation. Best quote I got so for is $36,095 (what a joke !!!). My target price is $34k + tax + tags...
Dest is $670
Visit the Acura website.
The 07 TL is there now, and you can build a model online to get the MSRP price
On a side note, it's funny how some were talking about the cost of the Type-S not being worth the $5,000 price difference.
It's only $2,000 more, since the Navi comes standard.
The new TLs are on the lot now.
Our target price will probably be around $34.5 including the dest. fee, which wouldn't be bad for the dealer. Maybe not as good as bending the customer over and charging sticker, but still good.
I got an internet quote from Karen Radley for a 2007 TL w/ Nav. Quote was; $34,295 + Tax,Tags, + 295 processing. Not bad, considering it was just released last week. Seems like the price is off of MSRP is already dropping. I was going to get the 06 TL for about 32K OTD, but with all the improvements in the 07's. I'm willing to pay a little more for the improvements. Hopefully I can get it for under $34K OTD. My target to buy is Dec/Jan.... so by then, the prices should come down? Crossing my fingers!
im aiming for 31.5k + TTL for non nav (I want to get 34k or under out the door), but Im planning to wait until december/January so prices are cooled down a bit. I live in Socal so a good market for buyers it seems.
Also, anyone know what Acura's usual rates (for good credit scores) are around when they arent doing their special 2.9/4.9 APR?
on a side note anyone test drive a 2007 yet? i wonder how good that traffic thing is on the Nav system
Unless you need the car right away... I would wait, the 2007 will come down when other competition cars are released.
Thanks!
Good Question...
All of the auto websites currently list the 07 Acura TL invoice prices as N/A or TBA (To Be Announced)
Went to McGrath, Nappleton, and Muller. they were all willing to give me the same price, but decided to go with Muller, since they decided to knock off an extra 100 bucks, and being the closest dealer to home.
My best advice to all of you out there: do your homework, and deal with several dealers through e-mail. it's easy, convenient, and it gives you time to think about your decision, as well as enjoying how the dealers battle it out
