I must tell you as mentioned here again and again. SHOP AS MANY dealers as you can. Its to your benefit.
I just signed a 42 month lease 2005 NAVI TL with a .000230 money factor for good credit consumers through Honda or if not so good you get .000240. Residual is best at 42 months right now. Residual on 42 months is 53% vs on a 48 mo lease its 46%. This is also 12,000 miles a year. Ist Month payment/tax/title money down. My payment is $490 Total including tax. This is getting the NAVI just above invoice. I think mine was $32,700. I believe invoice is 32,164 plus $550 destination so 32,714. I could have done slightly better but the color combos on 2005's are going going gone. Its 2006 models now and my dealer told me not much discounts on 06's until late Nov/Dec when sales slow for the holiday season. He mentioned Acura sent out memo stating that they are having record sales of the TL and be cautious on dealers discounting the 2006 models.
As always SHOP around. I had 3 dealers tell me NO WAY to get a lease payment under $550 for a NAVI with no cap cost reduction. They were quoting me $510-$525 with NO NAVI. I feel good about my deal. Better yet the car ROCKS!

In Florida you say dealers are offering $500 over invoice? On '05s or '06's??
Goodson Acura offered $500 above invoice in July- I passes as I was not ready to buy then. In first week of september, offered $400 below invoice-but still not ready.
Macchurchill- no internet quote given, but said they would beat any price. Finally ready. I went there last night. I want the WDP/Parchment- no stock-only Black/Camel with Nav 32900+TTL. Have a trade of 1999 F-150 EXT cab 119,000-offered $4500. Since not the color combo I wanted said when 06's come in next week would sell for $35,450- $500 off invoice.
E-mailed Goodson as soon as I got home. Came back today with WDP/Parchment NAV $33,318. 3 weeks ago $400 below invoice(31585) Gonna go to dealer tomorrow and offer 32500(100 below invoice). How does that sound, because I have no problem walking.
P.S. Black/Camel looked sweet- but shows dirt way to bad-anyone seen the ABP- not many here in Dallas.
Closest places to me are Shreveport and Houston (4 hour drives). My biggest problem is the trade in - impossibe to do at a distance like that. I will pass this along though. Two ways to tell the true value of your trade: 1) See what the internet sites are selling them for at the dealers' sites. (You wouldn't believe the look I get when they downplay the value of my vehicle by $4000 and then show them the same vehicle with the same or more miles for MORE than what I'm asking. The jaws really drop an they get quiet, only they don't budge or say "You're right. You should try to sell it yourself". The other way is the MONTHLY NADA book, not the quaterly one. They try to misdirect you to Kelly Blue Book, but that is a site owned by dealers. NADA by the way stands for National Automotive Dealers Association. Most Credit Unions have this book (TELCO in BR) and there is a front page chart to deduct mileage in addition to a page specifically for what it's worth by year. Also interesting to see a loan value, trade in and retail. If the dealers want to retail you the new car, always say sure, we'll go retail on my trade. If you're buying used, loan value is what the car is worth, period. Sounds like I may try Metairie to see what they have and IF they will deal. The Baton Rouge Acura folks are clearly taking advantage of the Hurricane situation, which to me ought to be illegal. Maybe Acura is not the car to have. Will keep you all posted.
What have others paid to get a wing added to a TL deal?
BTW, no problems and really enjoy this car @ three weeks.
NADA is also owned by dealers, get it?
I guess I'll keep looking around. It just puzzles me that here I am ready to sign a check and pick up a car and all I get is a ho hum attitude. I'm not too worried. I figure if no one is going to deal now I'll wait until December and shop again for an '06.
If you don't the four original nuts and tool, ask your salesman for them.
If you wait till the end of December or January when nobody's buying cars, you will probably be able to get a good deal then.
This price is before tax, but includes desitination and fees.
I looked at the 05 and they are pretty similar except for the display panel is a blue color now. The warranty went up on the power train to 6 years, 70,000 miles. That was nice.
Thanks for helping me figure this out.

I have driven it a few days now and I think this is one fantastic vehicle. There are no squeaks that I can notice. I like the blue backlighting on the non-NAV 06' information display. It is easy on the eyes at night.
I think the only thing I would like to do is to get the windows a little darker. I am trying to find a competant window tinting place here in Reno where I live. I may have to go back to California for it.
This is one nice car. Very quick and corners very nicely. My wife's boss's husband has already had a look at it and wants to go to the same place to go pick one up.
Have you been able to confirm your deal? Let me know as I'd prefer an '06 although '05 pricing is tempting.
Thanks.
I did go down to Elk Grove and was not very impressed with them to be honest. Niello (at least the internet sales department) were very good to deal with. If interrested, I would simply email the internet sales department and get a price quote for either one and see what they respond with).
Congrats!
When I contacted Acura of Orange Park they orginally quoted $30,250 for a non Navi 2005. When I asked about any extra fees they said there was a $499 doc fee. I emailed back and said that if they excluded the doc fee we had a deal. So the actual price of the vehicle broke down as follows:
TL $29693.50
Electronic filing fee $49
FLA tire fee $5
Battery fee $1.50
Doc fee $499
Total $30,248
Everything worked out fine and I love the antracite/quartz combination.
The experience was great all around. Pohanka had the second best price, however, nobody could match the professional and up-front approach of Rosenthal.
Good luck to those still in the hunt.
thanks
I resent a $99 fee! where do $500 come from. Mars....
I spoke to my salesman yesterday. He assured me that he will be selling me the 2006 TL w/Navi at $500 over invoice. They have not received a 2006 yet, but will call me when they have one in and the invoice in hand. They have a white w/parch coming in the next day or two, so I should know more very soon. I'm beginning to believe that he will honor the quote he gave me when he accepted my check for $1000. His quote is worded as $500 over dealer invoice for red/parch, $604 rear wing spoiler installed, all weather mats, trunk tray, splash guards(not installed) for $246.84. My salesman seems like a honest guy and I'm trusting him until something proves me wrong.
Thanks for the update. Based on your $500 over, it would be a $1,250 swing between a 05 and the 06 on a non-navi - very enticing. It wouldn't be the dealer you mentioned elsewhere would it?
I'm not in a hurry although the sales tax deduction has some impact. So far everyone I've contacted has been carry the party line of "full tilt" on the '06 and interestingly many have been trying to squeeze up the price on '05's - although they drop back down rather quickly.
thx.
tire pressure monitoring system, active assist to reduce torque steer and couple of new colors. Am I right?
Thx
I sense an arrogance there price wise (agree with you on that, Achenator) and have heard the same from a few people I know who have purchased in Baton Rouge (including $2000 over invoice in July'05, for example; probably could have got for $1000 over elsewhere but didn't want the hassle) and are in the car business. I changed my mind to an '06 when I went there to nail down the price of an '05 due to color combination change I preferred so never did get them to put their best '05 foot forward.
Keep posting on the Baton Rouge "deals" :confuse:
Especially if it turns out to be worth a darn or on an '06 like I'm looking at
I finally saw the '06 Royal Blue Pearl (on an '06 Honda Civic, actually) and fell in love with it. It was all shined up nice and made me feel like a kid in a toy store (I want it now!)
Congrats on your deal - you got them down to just about list & shipping. What dealership? Also any noticeable color difference from the 05 Silver to the 06 Silver? No one in my neighborhood has an 06 on the lot yet.
Anyhow, I like Don Carlton Acura. I bought 04 and 05 TL there. They have decent prices and treat you fairly. I think at this point I would get a 06 for Tire pres system which gives cool valve stems and covers, better warranty, at least $1000 more car value in return, and revised torque handling in computer.
Either way a wash as your deal is very good.
yes there does appear to be a nice cartel (pardon the pun) in the NW. The best 05 price (year end) was $32,000 (non-navi). Compare that to low end 30K (with a little work) in CA - depending on dealer stock, etc. for a 05.
As for the 06, I figure list + freight puts a non-navi just under $31k (keep in mind the 3% dealer holdback). Looking at recent posts, there may be some earlier price give, but most are currently quoting MSRP because of the currently limited supply in dealer inventory (if any in some cases).
IMHO, I think 06 prices may soften quicker this year because of gas prices and some improved alternatives - probably not so much in the NW - because as you've seen, most dealers still have a healthy supply of 05s and are not too worried from a pricing standpoint.
I'm looking out of state and figure even with shipping, I'll still beat NW pricing by $1k - $2k (even the costco route was only a token reduction). I purchased my last car online from out of state and had it delivered to my door as promised without any hassles or problems.
Let me know if you're interested in trying to put a super 2-fer deal together.
