hi. i was wondering if you still had an EC# from any of your coworkers? we're looking to buy before the end of this year - this would be my first new car ever owned.
I'm looking for Chrysler T&C 25L with swivel and dual DVD
Here is approximately what you'd pay, if you could get an EC discount from someone.
MSRP: $33,470 EC: $28,251 Friends: $28,777
All prices include the $730 destination fee. The EC and Friends include a current $1,500 rebate which expires on 01/02/2008. Add a $200 program fee to the EC price that the dealer would add on.
The discount and rebate may vary, depending on the region where you live. The above discounts are based in the St. Louis area region, where one of the minivan plants is located. Email me with your zip code at my carspace.com box for a more accurate quote.
If you can hold out until next Wednesday, 01/02/2008, I can get you a Friends discount.
I am currently looking at a Dodge grand sxt 4.0 with the following extras: Customer preferred package 28m Swivel 'n go seating group Dual screen DVD entertainment system.
What would be a fair cost and what are the chances of getting the ec or friends program from one of you? If I could get one of these, how do you approach the car dealer with this number or program?? All help is greatly appreciated!! I have 2 kids and a 3rd on the way. I need to expand!!
I would like to request for a Friends discount number because I would like to purchase the 2008 Town and Country soon. We have 2 children and it would be great to have a larger vehicle to accommodate our growing family. Thank you very much. Happy New Year!
I am currently looking at a Dodge grand sxt 4.0 with the following extras: Customer preferred package 28m Swivel 'n go seating group Dual screen DVD entertainment system.
MSRP: $34,165 Friends: $29,324
Both prices include the $730 destination fee. The Friends discount includes a current $1,500 rebate which expires on 01/02/2008. The discount price and rebate is based on the St. Louis region where one of the minivan plants is located. Rebates vary by region, so the discount price and available incentives may be different in your area.
I can't help you on any discounts until 2008 (all out). The EC is being discontinued next year but I still have three slots available for a 2008 Friends discount. Email me at my carspace.com box for more info.
Thank you for taking the time to e-mail me back. I was about to go to dealer today but I can certainly wait until wednesday. I really appreciate your help you made alot of people happy this Christmas specially my daughter.
The transmission on my 2002 T&C with 140,000 mi died last week. I posted a plea for an EC code and Rmbalisa found a co-worker who was willing to share his. Tedebear emailed with EC pricing on several models. It was so nice to know before entering the dealership what I could really afford (which was a much nicer van, thanks to rmbalisa!). The entire process was quick and painless -just a matter of locating one with the options I wanted. Before receiving the code, I planned to get a Touring/SXT L with premium sound, swivel seats, and tow package. With the code, I was able to get a fully loaded Touring M, complete with nav system. THANK YOU!
For those who are still shopping or who have recently purchased Chrysler products with Lifetime Drivetrain Warranty, check out the newly available Chrysler LIFETIME MaxCare policy. I bought one, and am looking forward to many, many years of worry-free ownership.
Hello everyone and thank you Mr.Tedebear for your help
I finally bought and picked up my 08 T&C yesterday and here is the breakdown of what I paid and how my deal went.
08 T&C with L package and flexible seating group ( Black ) MSRP $31945.00 with $1500 fac.incentive $31445.00 Invoice $29227.00 with $1500 fac.incentive $27727.00
Price paid $26228.00
I bought it for $1500 UNDER invoice My out the door price was $28700 ( that includes NYC tax of 8.375% , dmv fees , dealer fees )
I feel that I got an awesome deal ^_^
Thanks again for Mr.tedebear for all his help , my son is loving the car right now and I am finally the coolest dad on the planet.
The dealer I bought my car was Bay Ridge Chrysler and Jeep in Brooklyn My sales rep was Tourine Everyone was very nice except for the finance manager who tried to have me sign up for extended warranty and etc but I understand since it was his job to do so. It was just tough saying the word "NO" for about 15 min lol
Just make sure to say JUN ( thats me and pronounced same as the month JUNE ) sent you and you can probably get the same or similar deal.
If anyone needs to know anything else , please feel free to leave a message here!
I just picked up my 2008 Town & Country and just wanted to share my deal:
2008 Touring 25 M Package (leather, dual DVD, etc...) Swivel & Go Sunroof Power 3rd Row MyGIG Infotainment w/ Nav
MSRP $36,890
Price paid $30,044 +TTL including all applicable rebates if I obtained my own financing, or $31,544 + TTL with Chrysler's promotional financing. No dealer in the area could come close.
tedebear, do you have any EC Discounts for 2008, I am going to be purchasing a 2008 TC within the next month or two and would love to buy one using this discount. Thanks.
I was wondering if you have any more friends #'s you would be willing to share or know of anyone that has an EC number available. We currently have 4 children and 1 on the way. We are looking to move to a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT with the M package. We are prepared to purchase today if we can get a number to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated, we could certainly use the extra space.
Since I am new to the forums, I did not know how to reply to you directly with the information (address, DOB, etc.) that you requested.
EC discount alert!!! Although the EC discount program ends at the close of business today I just discovered that I can still give out two of these for 2008. I have one left.
It has to be used today, the same day as when the $1,500 rebates expire. The first person to email me at my carspace.com address can have it. I don't mean to make this sound like a contest but after I leave for work in 3 hours I no longer have access to my email for the rest of the day.
To save time you need to email me the following to register you for the program:
1. First and last name 2. Full street address, including city, state and zip 3. 10-digit phone number 4. Date of birth 5. Buyer’s SSN (last 4 digits only) 6. Email address you’d like the control number sent to 7. Vehicle model you’re interested in purchasing/leasing
I would deeply appreciate it if you would help with an EC number. My wife and I are both teachers and expecting twins and would buy a Town and Country today if we could use the numbers.
I have a van marked as 'sold'. I am unable to make it up there today, but the dealer said they will have the paperwork completed and I can bring the check up tomorrow. Dealer said if I had an EC # they would take off another $1500 in the price. Feel free to email me at hunterswidow@alltel.net I'm new to this Forum and not sure how to do everything yet. Thanks so much in advance!!
Dealer said if I had an EC # they would take off another $1500 in the price.
If you manage to get an EC number ask the dealer to show you the actual invoice. Then look for the EP code in the list to verify what they are charging you is what you should be paying, plus a $200 program fee.
If you'd like, post the details on the vehicle you are getting, including all options that are not included in the base price. Include the MSRP and your zip code since discounts and rebates vary by region. I'll look it up for you. Go to www.chrysler.com > Build My Own if you need help.
I cannot access my carspace.com email box from work, so don't send it there.
I am now a '08 T&C LX owner, 24H package, 2nd row DVD. Paid 22,900 plus tax. That price included the state tag fees, dealer fee, rebate, and supplier discount fee to Chrysler. Bought it at Dallas Dodge outside of Atlanta. I highly recommend them to anyone in the area. They are worth the drive.
I almost bought a new Sienna CE, but after getting burned buy the transmission troubles with my Odyssey, I decided that the lifetime warranty was to good to pass up.
It's a 2008 Limited - White with MyGig Navigation, Dual DVD, Power 3rd Row, Swivel 'N Go, Power Moonroof. Basically the only thing we did not add to the limited was a tow prep group. Our zip code is 68502 MSRP: $41,705 Price agreed upon: $35,000
I saw your carspace account was not accessible from work - but i don't know where else to send it ~ sorry Thanks for your help. Even without the additional discount - I feel it's a good price
That's a great deal - it's even below the EC. The EC price no longer shows any rebate or bonus cash incentives, which ended yesterday. Even subtracting an additional $1,500 rebate you're still lower than the EC. I'm not sure if you are in a region where the $500 bonus cash was offered.
MSRP: $41,705 EC: $36,831 Your agreed upon price: $35,000
Am I missing something? It doesn't seem like the EC prices are better. My calculations may be wrong, but I think that I too did better than I would have with an EC#. What is all the hype? Again, my MSRP was $36,890, and I paid $30,044.
I know it doesn't matter now since I already bought the car...
Final price including EC Discount (Thanks TEDEBEAR) and rebates. $26,755
That's nearly 19% off the MSRP - I'd say you did pretty well.
To anyone else who is wondering what current rebates or price incentives Chrysler has going in your area, go to www.chrysler.com > Shopping Tools > Current Incentives. It looks like the $1,500 rebate for a T&C or 0% financing is alive and well.
We are late in the game, but finally convinced ourselves that with all the incentives going on, we can probably get a 2008 T&C within our price range. Would appreciate an EC no. for use over the next few weeks. Many thanks.
We also live in MD. please forward your dealer's info. Any particular sales person I should ask for over there? Many thanks. Enjoy your 2008 T&C. Hope that we will get to be the next lucky owner.
If anyone is willing to share an EC Code, I would very much appreciate it. My wife and I are both teachers in Southern California and our family is growing rapidly with twins.
I have just ordered a 2008 Town & Country Limited from a local dealer for delivery in 4 to 6 weeks. Dealer said they would honor Friends or EC price if I got a "number". . I know that tedebear and rmbalisa (sp?) have indicated that they might be able to give out one of these. If that is the case please let me know how I can contact you for one.
I know that tedebear and rmbalisa (sp?) have indicated that they might be able to give out one of these. If that is the case please let me know how I can contact you for one.
You can email anyone on these forums at their carspace.com address by using the following format:
I've already given out the 6 Friends discounts I had for 2008. The EC program ended on 01/02/2008. I read that rmbalisa still had 5 Friends discounts last week, so you might try emailing him. I wish I had dozens of these things to give out but Chrysler only gives 6 per employee.
If he doesn't have any left you might try posting your request on some of the other Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep forums (not just Edmunds - do a Google search). Many Chrysler employees are also Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep owners who surf the forums.
I just heard that Chrysler has killed the employee discount program for employees even!! Has anyone else heard this? It supposedly happened last week? Thanks
Yes, the EC (Employee Choice) discount program ended on 01/02/2008. However, the Friends discount program is still alive and well. Chrysler employees can give out up to 6 Friends discounts to anyone for 2008. All of mine have already been given out.
The discount difference between the two was usually around $300-$400. Both programs represent a significant savings off the MSRP and rebates plus other incentives are subtracted from the discount price for even more savings.
So what do actual employees do??? I work for a supplier to Chrysler and can get the supplier discount, but a friend of mine that works at Jeep usually got me an employee discount, which was better. Thanks
Employees can still purchase up to 6 vehicles per calendar year through the EP (Employee Purchase) program. That is in addition to the 6 Friends discount numbers they can give out to anyone.
Here is a list of who is eligible for the EP program:
All Chrysler active full-time and part-time Employees/Retirees. Immediate family members including spouse, same-sex domestic partners,* parents, parents-in-law, stepparents, sons/daughters, sons/daughters-in-law, stepchildren, brothers/sisters, brothers/sisters-in-law, half brothers/sisters, grandchildren and grandparents.
I was quoted an MSRP of 35905 for a touring 08 25M package, sirius TV, security package, and mygig NAV. The price of the Dealer invoice was 33,387. I had someone offer me a friends discount. The dealer quoted me friends price of 33053. Doesn't seem to be that big a difference off of the MSRP. Some of the other prices seem to be 5-6K below MSRP. Does this price seem correct? Thanks for any help.
Some of the other prices seem to be 5-6K below MSRP
Indeed it is. Here is the Friends discount price for the 08 Touring with the options you listed. Since you didn't provide your zip code I used one in the St. Louis area, where one of the minivan assembly plants is located. MSRP stays the same but discount prices and rebates vary by region.
MSRP: $35,905 Friends: $30,898
The above Friends discount includes a current $1,500 rebate which expires on 02/29/2008. The discount price quote is provided as an estimate only. Ask the dealer to show you the actual invoice which shows the exact PP (Preferred Pricing Friends) discount on it.
Feel free to ask if you have any further questions and I'll be glad to help if I can.
Hi - Just came across this site. My wife and I are interested in 2008 Chrysler T&C. I see lots of references to EC pricing, EC discount, Friends pricing. What's that all about? Any info appreciated.
Hi and welcome aboard. The EC (Employee Choice) discount program ended on 01/02/2008. Chrysler says they have no plans in the near future to reinstate it. It usually was around $300-$400 more in savings than the Friends program.
However, the Friends discount program is alive and well. The Friends price is 1% below dealer invoice. You can find the invoice price on Edmunds. Any rebates or other price incentives are subtracted from the Friends discount for even more savings.
All Chrysler employees are permitted to give out up to 6 Friends discounts per calendar year to anyone. There is no charge to obtain one. All 6 of mine have already been given out but ask around.

Just curious as to where you got this great deal, thanks
You might try rmbalisa, who you can find in older messages in this thread. Each of us had 6 for 2008 and I'm not sure what the status on his is.
