I've been following the discussions on here for a while. Now I need your advice. Looking to lease a base Evoque.
In San Francisco, CA:
MSRP is 42,570 Selling Price is 41,191 $3500 Down
MF is .00087 and residual is 62%, according to dealer
36 month lease, 12K miles/yr
I was quoted: $425 before Tax. $459 with tax.
What do you think? leaseguide.com's lease deal calculator gives it a score of 84, says it's an excellent deal.
Any thoughts? Thanks!
.00087 MF and 62% is correct for the 5-door SE model for 36/12.
How much of the $3500 is for upfront charges, and how much is CAP cost reduction?
Thanks for your response! Glad they gave me the correct MF And residual.
I was given a printout of all the details of the lease:
1. They added $875 for capped fees to the Cap Cost of $41,191 3. The CAP cost reduction is $2,440.04 of my $3500 down. So Adjusted CAP Cost is $39,625.96
5. The rest of the $1060 is comprised of: a. 1st month's payment of $425.01 + Tax of (at 8%) of $34 and a Cap Reduction Tax (at 8%) of $195.20 b. DMV Fees of $368 c. Upfront Fees of $37.75 That totals $1060.
I pointed out the $875 capped fees - they said it was the leasing company acquisition fee. I asked for my Net Selling Price of $41,191 to be reduced by $875 to give me a monthly payment before tax of $400/mo. They countered back saying I could pay for the $875 up front.
Would love to hear your thoughts. The discussions here have been so helpful.

Every leasing bank charges an acquisition fee. So, you can't get out of that.
It's nice you have all the numbers. The calculations are correct.
I'm not big on making CAP cost reductions. If you don't want to lay out $3500, it looks like you could get out the door for $941. (of course, the payment goes up to $535/mo.)
Either way, looks like a decent deal for a Range Rover. It doesn't appear that the dealer is trying to slide anything by.

I made sure to get all the numbers to post here for you and for others as well. I asked for the lease calculations and the dealer obliged, which is great. Maybe because I'm dealing with an "internet manager" as opposed to a sales manager?
Anyhow, thanks for the advice on the CAP cost reductions. I get it, why pay a reduction up front, when that lump sum can be invested to earn you money. Although not sure how you got $941 out the door... shouldn't it be $1060 minus the Cap Reduction Tax of $195.20 = $864.80?
Thanks for the assessment. Glad to know everything is correct. I know you guys don't track pricing on here, so I won't ask you about the price. Seems there's a shortage of SE models in my area now so they aren't coming down too much on price. Maybe that'll change by month's end for Memorial Day. Can anyone comment on whether they've seen fresh supplies come in before the Memorial day weekend?

$534 payment vs. $459.. that's why the amount is $941.

If you guys are not sick of providing money factors and residuals I'd like to know them for 2016 RR Evoque SE Premium. I am very flexible with terms, so send me sweet spot please. 36/12 is what I will be looking at with the dealer, but interested if there are better options.

Do you have the June 36/12 on the SE and HSE models? I got back .00117 from the dealer, but based on prior months that looks like it may be a markup. Thanks in advance!

Excellent! Congrats and enjoy the new LR.
And, we appreciate you sharing your deal details with us.
Any way to best guestimate for the 17 Convertible for 36/15? Any idea when you will get firm numbers? My dealer said they expect to start to have them in Nov. Much thanks!

Sorry.. would have nothing to base a guess on.
If they aren't coming until November, then October or November at the earliest for the lease numbers.
Thanks. Just came from the dealership and the MF was the same but they were holding that the 63% residual was for the 10k/year. Between that and a lowball on my trade it broke the deal. Oh well. Try again after the weekend at a different dealer. Do you know if there are any changes for August? Am I correct that to get to 15k from 12k it is 1% difference? Thanks

2% difference between 12K/yr and 15K/yr.
Won't have the August numbers until August. The current program runs through Monday, August 1st.
Hi, just got back from the Land Rover dealership (Land Rover Marin) and would love some feedback. I'm looking at a 2016 Evoque SE Premium that has a MSRP of $51,314. Was told that I could get $1,000 off plus the $1,000 off from the Summer deal. Does that seem reasonable, or should I push for more off?
Also, I'm looking at a 33 month / 10K miles lease. I was given a 63% residual value and 0.00071 money factor. Both seem as expected based on previous responses in this thread. But, it's based on $5K due at signing, which includes the $795 acquisition fee, the first monthly payment, plus the rest as a down payment (about $3,600). Is that more than I should put down on a lease? Or would it be better to see if they can take that as a security deposit instead? I asked the salesperson if they did the Multiple Security Deposits like BMW, but he said they didn't (although, he seemed confused about the question).

First things first .. I'm showing the 33/10 numbers for the SE Premium as 62% and .00011. Dealer can mark up the MF, but the residual is fixed by the bank and cannot be altered. 63% would be for 7,500 miles per year.
Second, we don't track selling prices, so can't tell you how much of a discount is available. Use the 'make / model / year' pull downs at the top of the page to link to the price tools.
Last, we don't recommend making any sort of down payment on a lease - that money would be lost if the vehicle is stolen or totaled, and it gives you an artificial sense of the true cost of the lease. That $3600 represents over 4$100/mo on the payment.

I'm considering the 2016 5-door Evoque.
What would be the current residuals and MF for both the HSE and SE Premium trims for the following?
(months/annual miles('000's))
33/10, 36/10, 39/10
33/12, 36/12, 39/12
33/15, 36/16, 39/15
HSE:
33/15 - .00012 MF and 56% residual
36/15 - .00035 MF and 57% residual
39/15 - .00049 MF and 54% residual
SE Premium:
33/15 - .00040 MF and 58% residual
36/15 - .00061 MF and 59% residual
39/15 - .00075 MF and 57% residual

Thanks for your response! Glad they gave me the correct MF And residual.
I was given a printout of all the details of the lease:
1. They added $875 for capped fees to the Cap Cost of $41,191
3. The CAP cost reduction is $2,440.04 of my $3500 down.
So Adjusted CAP Cost is $39,625.96
5. The rest of the $1060 is comprised of:
a. 1st month's payment of $425.01 + Tax of (at 8%) of $34 and a Cap Reduction Tax (at 8%) of $195.20
b. DMV Fees of $368
c. Upfront Fees of $37.75
That totals $1060.
I pointed out the $875 capped fees - they said it was the leasing company acquisition fee. I asked for my Net Selling Price of $41,191 to be reduced by $875 to give me a monthly payment before tax of $400/mo. They countered back saying I could pay for the $875 up front.
