You misunderstand me.

What I'm saying is that the $3509 down payment is an additional $146/mo, on top of the quoted payment of $199/mo. GMC is using the large down payment to mask the true monthly cost of a lease, and to promote an attractive payment.

You could lease a Yukon Denali for $199/mo, but you'd have to put $20,000 down (making up the numbers, but you see my point).

GA taxes the entire selling price, which will make leases more expensive than in states that only tax the monthly payment - FL, for example.

You want to negotiate the best selling price you can - that will ensure you get the best lease payment.

The residual value of the lease is set by the bank, and cannot be negotiated.

I'm using 61% and 0.002868, maybe I'm using the wrong numbers? How much per month are you getting?

The 24 month, 10,000 mile per year lease numbers on the Terrain SLE are .00070 and 69%, with $880 lease cash - these are the GM Financial numbers. If your dealer is using a different bank, we won't be able to verify the information they are using.

In order to calculate the lease payment, we would need to know both the MSRP and either the selling price or the adjusted capitalized cost (selling price plus any taxes and fees you are not paying up front).

Price of the vehicle: $27,053, MSRP: $31,710
.0007, 69%, $1000 down, 24mo, 10K mi.

The dealer quoted me $289/mo plus taxes. But I used the lease calculator and got $241 after tax.
Can you tell me which number seems right to you?

I agree with the 56% residual, but the base MF is .00095.

I've qualified for the GM Supplier discount for some of my purchases. If you don't like negotiating, you'll get a good price. If you like the back and forth, you'll likely do better on your own.

It's possible there are numbers, just not from GMF. We don't have any third party bank info. In general, the dealer cannot modify the residual but can mark up the MF for extra profit.
