current incentives offered
Should maintenance be covered for term of the lease?

for a39month 15k mile year Q70 lease.
MSRP is $54,260, Selling price is $46,575 and Net Cap price is $48,170. I am putting no money down.

Also, is there anything else that I should consider as I look at this lease?

V6 or V8?
RWD or AWD?

Infiniti does not cover maintenance.
We don't have incentive information for Infiniti.

V-6, RWD, right?

You can get the same MF and residual for 39 months.
That would save you $47/mo.

Otherwise, the numbers look about right.

Yes on V6 and RWD. How much more do you think I can push on this approaching year's end. Any other approaches on reducing the monthly outside of going to 39 months? Truly looking for a spectacular deal. Thanks again!

Have no idea on pricing, but when was the last time you saw one of these on the road? I have to believe it's a tough sell. Bargain hard.

The $4320 down payment equates to $111/mo, so the true payment is $590/mo, which doesn't seem all that great on a $52K vehicle

To help my negotiations, since we're at the point of "Ok, what do we need to do to earn your business" and "name your number"….I was hoping if you could rate the below? i.e. Fair, Good, Great, Exceptional etc. My goal of course is to get an coming up with an exceptional lease number, so you're help would be greatly appreciated in helping get to an exceptional number

The 39 month program has the same lease variables, and would probably drop the payment by $50/mo.
I'd start there.

We don't track pricing. You can use the Make/Model/Year tabs at the top of the page to get Edmunds TMV price, and see how that matches up.

Got an offer on a 2016 Q70L Premium w/ Nav, V6 RWD, $5k down, $497/month which includes taxes/fees, $22,845 residual. So its a leftover but seems like a good deal.

What is the MSRP and adjusted cap cost?

What state and tax rate?

RWD or AWD?

Without that information, we can't tell you if it's a good deal or not.

In TX, 6.25%, RWD V6. MSRP on the car was $53,130, dropped it down to $38,800. The $5k total down covers TT&L. So with lease payments, $5k down minus $2425 taxes I am into it for $44,837. (497.88 x 39 mos., 10,000 miles per year, total lease payments + $5k down = $24,417.32, then that minus $2425 taxes = $21,992.32, then that plus $22,845 = $44,837.32 I would actually pay for the car if I kept it after 39 months.) So I guess in reality I am putting down $5k - $2425 in tax which is $2575.

2016 Q70 V6 RWD - .00189 and 42% for 39/10.

Using $53,130 as the MSRP and $38,800 as the cap cost, I get $538/mo. If I back out the $2575 of cap reduction, the payment drops to $467/mo.

Confirm the adjusted cap cost with the dealer. We'd also recommend not making a cap reduction - that money would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.

Verify the CAP cost with the dealer. It seems you are guessing or trying to reverse engineer it. Find out the actual number.

Well, I am an engineer, so yes, admittedly that is what I was trying to do. Especially how we get from $38,800 to $44,837 if I purchased it at lease end. Thanks again for the info. Definitely need more info from the dealer.

So they calculate residual on MSRP, not sales price? That seems wrong. But that is the difference I find in buying outright vs. leasing.

Yes, the residual value is based on the bottom line number of the factory window sticker (base MSRP + options + destination).

And, it works better for you that way. If the MSRP is $60K, the residual is 50%, and you negotiate $6K off the sticker, then your depreciation is only $24K.

If the residual was 50% off the negotiated price, the depreciation would be $27K
