Not really. Sometimes, the shorter terms are good, when you have big incentives, because you are amortizing those incentives over fewer months. But, the residuals for the shorter terms aren't very good, negating that advantage, I think.

You could try running the numbers with the 27 month term. 56%/55% residual. But, I doubt they will be better.

Hi I'm surprised that this particular forum is not getting recent activity, as it seems to me the Lease deal on this car has improved greatly with the money back support from Lexus.
I am considering either the 200t or the 350 (in S Florida) and want to confirm the details.
1. The rebate for leasing is $1,500 (purchase = $2,500)
2. Money Factor is .00110 if using max MSD's then it goes to .00038
3. Residual on 350 for 36 months 55% for 12,000 miles and 56% for 12,000
4. Residual on 200t for 36 months 57% for 12,000 miles and 58% for 12,000
5. Also looks like they will sell car below invoice (before the Rebate is applied)

So if I am correct with the low sale price and rebate even though the Residual went down it would still prove to be a good lease program? Any other information that you may have is appreciated like sometimes the lease may be better with 30 months.

Other than the residuals, your assumptions are correct. 36 months looks like the sweet spot.

Comes out to $496 monthly. I think the one thing I'm missing is that in TX I pay tax on the negotiated price of the car, not just the depreciation value. Anything else beyond that look off?

Two mistakes.
You typoed on the residual value, which throws the rest of your numbers off.
Usage tax: You are correct.. tax is applied to the price of the car, not the payment (this will be a big difference).

F Sport Package, LED fog lamps, navigation system, intuitive Park assist, moonrise, floor trunk mats total Msrp with destination $48,929

Cap cost $38,400. Sell price was $37000. Rest is title, acquisition fee and 1% LFS fee (fee Lexus financial services charges In Texas when taking advantage of the sales tax credits)

12k 36 MO $396 a month with zero down.
