Thank You, crazy enough. Before I saw this, I was testing waters, On a ~33,500 Cap, they quoted 571 a month. And I kinda laughed, politely in my northern way. Asked how they came to that. MF of .00003, and residual of 51%, no money down was the response. Didn't add up even close, walked away. Knowing NC is akin to SC is just validation.

Just coming back to say thank you once again for your help with another lease! You have been helping me for years and I am alwasy appreciative. Just leased a 2016 Murano SL for $1,000 down and $379 per month including tax for 36/15k. Crazy deals right now due to the manufactuer incentives.

Congrats! Enjoy the new Murano. I know a lot of people are turned off by the looks, but it's very distinctive to my eye.

What lease manufactor incentives do you mean? From what my dealer in WA tells me there is only 2,175 lease cash available right now for the 2016 Platinum AWD.

One other note...a user on another forum states that a good rule of thumb is to get your payment with .5% to .8% of MSRP. I do not see how that is possible when the residual for this vehicle was 51% as it's a 2016 model. Usually I lease cars with much higher 55% and above residuals but in this instance, the 2016 is pretty much the same car as the 2017 and there was much better lease cash on the 2016 as the reason why we went with the 2016. I don't think we could have done as well on a 2017. Perhaps the last days of the month, but I'm happy with the deal. We are within 1% of MSRP - damn good, right!

My unofficial rule of thumb is a lease payment around 1% of MSRP - you are right, it's darn hard to get under that threshold.
