Changed the PCV valve in the benz today. Was a bit fiddly, but easy overall. I pulled apart the old one and found it was in good shape. ugh. Doesn't give me positive feelings that I have fixed anything.

Clear the codes. If that doesn’t work, electrical tape over the CEL.

The description sounds to me like someone who cares a lot more about the looks of the car than the mechanics of it. My guess is that most of the car's past ails are a result of poor maintenance by the owner, which doesn't bode all that well for the future.

The transmission needed to be rebuilt due to the fact it was “accidentally run without transmission fluid.” Auto check shows it was involved in a collision with another vehicle. This car seems like it is perfect for Facebook marketplace or Craigslist, unless the guy is completely buried in it with a loan and a credit card bill from the tranny rebuild...

Still...if the maintenance was done religiously (mainly oil changes every 3K miles), that would be a fun car. Just not $8,200 worth of fun. $6K would be my threshold.

By the way, I found the S4 I'm looking for, 2 owners, accident free (per paper records), but it is in an adjacent State and their asking price is about 10% high unless the car was immaculate mint condition. 32K miles but 2 owners already suggest it's not immaculate.

Had to buy two CR2032 batteries on Amazon yesterday as the Audi key FOB is telling the car it's almost out of juice.

Of course, the leftover battery at home is a CR2025; probably for the old VW that is no more.

On the latest Audi FOB, no need for hiring the "man" or any tools to do the job, all it takes is fingers, which is finally in 2020 a good design. I remember older keys being more difficult.
