Sunset Orange 440i xdrive with a manual. Would prefer the Msport package, but I don’t believe you can get the orange with that, so not a bad trade off.

A beige interior would set that off so much better. Certainly a rare one.
that is tasty 440. I would live with it, even with the black guts, but agree it would look much better with a different color interior. RWD too, if being picky!

Agreed - one of the local dealers had an identical one with the beige interior but with the automatic. That color combo was very appealing.

Orange? Looks more like copper or coral but that might just be how it photographs. A truly orange BMW would be kind of a rare thing, wouldn’t it?

Would be better if it was M-Sport and not just an otherwise base 440. I think it might be my color blindness, but that orange just looks a little too brown for me.

Yeah, the diesel W221 is rare, only offered for 2 model years in the USDM, I believe. This is a final year model, and appears to have normal equipment (not a full load - I see a lack of pano and distronic right off the bat) - I think these final run models even had the wood wheel standard, or in a mandatory option package. I think that specific engine can have a couple quirks related to leaks, especially around transmission coolers or something, but the W221 is generally regarded as solid. Get it down to around 20K and it's a lot of car for the money.

Not a fan of the BMW coupes, personally. I just find it awkward once inside. I honestly could not tell you why other than I feel more closed in compared to the sedan.

@dad23 - I looked up that place and just saw used vehicles on their lot. Are they a broker in addition to being a used car dealer?
I know you didn’t ask me, but I’ll chime in...yes, it’s primarily a broker dealer with a nice used car inventory.
I went there years ago because they had a GTI, WRX and Focus ST in their inventory, so it made sense to go try all three there. The broker I spoke with was so nice to work with I ended up using him to get my 2017 GTI Sport, though I sort of did all the leg work to get the deal.
Like I mentioned previously, I was going to use them to sell my Type R on consignment, but they just preferred to buy it from me.
And then we bought my wife’s used Macan S there.
It’s the kind of place I could see going to work in a semi-retirement phase of life.

@breld is spot on! We'd used a different broker in the past, but they couldn't come close to what we wanted. I even contacted a handful of Toyota dealers regarding the ad on Toyota's own website and they all said it required "dealer participation" which they weren't doing with low inventory. This broker happened to go trough a local credit union who had a slightly lower MF and no D&H that most were charging $499-$599, so persistence paid off. We had actually trolled their lots many times over the past few months looking for something used for the boys to drive. Entire deal was done via email, showed up yesterday at 4:00, looked over truck, signed the paperwork and was on my way home at 4:20.
I recall @breld posting a picture once when he was there for tint and I recognized the place Does sound like a fun gig, like working in a candy store!
@roadburner ....thanks for the heads up (I think). No disagreement that the Kia dealerships all seem to be deficient in customer service and perhaps mechanical service on the vehicles they sell.
I’m trying to figure out whether it’s Kia Corporate’s issue, or dealership issues. One thing’s for certain, they don’t consider any repercussions they may suffer by not offering good service.
I guess they figure their customer base just doesn’t care. Or, Kia does not compensate their service dept enough for them to offer decent customer service. Not sure which.
That said, aside from the recall (I’m having it done today), the reliability of my Stinger has been exemplary.
Maybe Kia (finance and corporate) isn’t making enough money by confiscating key fobs to improve their service??😂
I can say that Corporate Kia seemed to give my dealership complaint about as much weight as they do complaints of Kia's from the early 90's being xxxxholes.
Didn't even get a free key ring.

I received the black trim pieces for my X3 today to make it into the “shadow line” option. I had the vendor paint the mirror caps to match the alpine white...I noticed that’s what BMW does for that option and I wasn’t trying to do anything more custom than that.
Didn’t waste any time getting them on.
It’s merely personal preference, but I love the black trim on a white car. I had the Black Optic package on my white S4 and thought it made all the difference.
And more than that, I just wasn’t a fan at all of the cerium gray trim BMW has on many of the M40 models. On a darker color I may have liked it more.

Seeing breld's temporary plates, reminds me of one I saw today. In CT, you don't see them often, but I was behind a 2005 or so Acura TL. Plate read '2002 Nissan Maxima' and it expired 10-28-2020.

There must be a lot of that going around. I was following a car with Florida plates the other day that had expired in 2018.
A few weeks ago we were doing drone work delivering car after car to a nearby dealer. As it got dark we got a little careless and forgot to check the currency of the registrations. It really didn’t matter though because when we arrived we discovered that neither car had any plates at all.

last year I noticed a car in the Lowe's lot with a odd looking inspection sticker, so I took a closer look. It was obviously home made. My daughter was with me, and at the time was dating a local cop, who was actually familiar with it. I guess not serious enough to take the car away.
Years ago a guy who lived up the street from my BIL had a dead stock 1993 325i which had an M3 emblem on the trunk. I kept hoping I'd run into him so I could tell him, "Gosh, neat car! Except for the wheels, the front airdam, the side molding, the side skirts, the mirrors, the steering wheel, the seats, the rear valence, and the exhaust, it looks just like a real M3."
