@qbrozen - might be tough to find, but I always thought the Isuzu Axium looked premium and upscale. You could also look for a VehiCROSS if you wanted something more expressive. Not sure about the towing capability of either.
I actually found an Axiom last night. I'll have to see if I can dig it up again. I know the seller said something like "you don't know what this is."

Huh. The Axiom might actually be a decent car for that money!
And, I don't want to throw too much shade at the Envoy, but I've ridden in a couple of them from that era (when they were MUCH newer than this one is now), and they are just horrific rattle traps. If this one rattles like those did, it would drive me crazy.

Axiom looks good for the price. From the photos, the rear bumper could use a respray. Hood appears to have a dent on the left side leading edge. I like the mustardy tan interior, and it looks like a low spec model, as you wish. Also, a matching set of tires, which is rare in that price range.
I had never seen an Axiom before. I don’t think they were sold in Canada.
The Wiki page for the Axiom blames its poor sales performance for Isuzu withdrawing from manufacturing in the US and its eventual disappearance from the US market. It also notes that the Axiom was later recalled for severe frame rust issues.
2011 Sierra 1500 4x4 SLE 5.3 w/125k miles. No bad lights on dash. Filthy interior. The report states rust in several places, but the pics don't fully agree. I mean, I see it has some, and most definitely the tailgate is rusted. But the rockers look serviceable and the frame looks great. Yes, I can see they threw some undercoat on it, but I don't see flaking under the finish, and given the condition of the other components, it seems like it would be pretty solid.
I think I could get it for less than $6k. Manheim shows units with these miles are more like $10k.
Any thoughts?

The Car Wizard specifically recommends against any Chevy/GMC 1500 after 2007.
Car Wizard recommends against many vehicles that people have driven hundreds of thousands of miles without problems. He is a wuss. lol.
I had to do some digging, but, yes, this has AFM. Like my Charger, it is easily disabled with a tune. Worst case, you can buy a kit that replaces all the affected components for $500.

Are those fender flares screwed into the sheet metal? There might be rust under them. The rest of it (other than the tailgate) looks solid, though. That's a great deal for a full size 4WD truck.
@qbrozen - Listing says it is a 5-Speed Manual, it isn't. Pics show it parked in front of an Autozone which can't be a good thing. 2007 Saab 9-5 Wagon
hmmm... I have a feeling you aren't seeing the right thing. Should be a 2008 Envoy. Definitely says 4-spd auto and it definitely is NOT in front of an autozone.
I posted a different listing for you to look at
OH. I thought you were commenting on mine and then posting an alternative.
The Saab is cool but can't tow worth a damn.
You call that Envoy crusty? And you live in NY? Damn, I consider that super clean. Like surprisingly so. You should see the stuff at auction!

I believe someone who has seen a ton of them with problems. And he does it from the standpoint of people that are taking their car to a mechanic and paying to have everything done.

I see a lot of those up here in VT, as VT will not pass inspection with rust perforation. The fender flares will cover the rust so that it will pass.

I assume you are referring to the Wizard? He does it from the standpoint of making videos that need eyeballs. Plus he is in league with that master documentarian, Hoovie, who makes videos that have very little credibility. Nobody could have as many surprises and ill fortune as that guy. The Wizard ranting about plastic parts reminds me of this ancient meme:

Since our son arrived in July, I think I’ve maybe put 200 miles on it. And I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Right now I daily the MDX-S, and it does the job it’s designed to do well. But 5 days out of 7, it’s just me and the baby, going to daycare, or me to the office. So the 3 row SUV is overkill, and parking it at the garage near the office isn’t fun. Anyhow, a more practical fun car that can accommodate a car seat, thus getting more use than the M2C is my thought. I know I’ll miss it, but it’s hard to justify it when it just sits there. Am I crazy? Do I just have CCBA coming in? Why are you all nodding?

That reminds me of one of my computer science professors in undergrad, a very serious German lady. We were programming Lego robots, and she asked the class generally how it was going. I told her there was a problem in that they didn’t float. “Wait, corvette, what? Did you get water in the robot?!?”
Purged the Volt of the old fuel and gave it a tank of premium Shell to try to clean the fuel injectors (it’s supposed to have a lot of detergents). Of note, it seems to have a gas cruising range of around 300 miles, and the “fuel remaining” range just says “low” once you’re down to about 25 miles remaining. I’m not gonna bust out the ruler but does anybody else think they made that final 35-pt jump to Chrysler appear larger than, let’s say, 135 to 170?
Also, I did the math and found the average of what is shown to be 207, not the 190 noted. What’s up with that?
