I would not worry too much. Looking at the numbers, comparing Audi to #4 Chevrolet, there is a difference of 1 problem (however that is defined) per car over 3 years. so if someone else has 2 extra, you might be the lucky guy to get 0 to average it out!
@tifighter you’re in a weird spot right now until roughly 3 yo when he’ll be in a forward facing seat and the M2C will be perfectly viable again. Of course, 3 years in CCBA time is like 20.
Might I suggest not selling and instead finding a temporary foster? Someone local, maybe a fellow enthusiast from online, who will give it the proper love it deserves?

I drove the C43 to Lexington yesterday for the winter prosecutors conference. I was pleasantly surprised to find that 99% of the drivers on I-64 possessed brains functioning at a relatively high level. I had the Distronic set on 80 mph and I didn't pass very many cars and not many cars passed me. No left lane campers either. Daytona was delayed until this afternoon at 4:00 pm; I brought an extra Roku stick so that I can record the race and grab dinner without missing anything.

My experience also last week with the exception of a few left lane campers. Not as many as normal though. I had the cruise set at 77 and it only fell below that when a few who were passing a truck slowed down when doing so.
Giving the buyer a test drive in the Alto made me realize I really enjoy driving a small, light manual. Would be nice to find one I actually fit comfortably in, though. Maybe I can get the Mini going. Then again, that is a fat big compared to an Alto. There is such a thing as a turbo Suzuki Wagon R. Rarely seen but it was produced. Maybe I should be trolling the JDM auctions again. Wife may just kill me.

Went to the Pittsburgh Auto Show on Saturday. Lots and lots of trucks and SUVs. They did have an unlocked Tacoma but it was the extended cab PreRunner model and that was it, kind of an odd choice when that's hardly your volume seller. It's on the list though along with a few other things.

@pensfan83 - not sure if you saw the highlights but the Rangers were down 3-1 after 1, 4-2 after 2, and 5-3 with 5 minutes to go in the game. Pulled the goalie and had a 6 on 4 power play and scored 2 goals to tie the game up, then won the game 10 seconds into OT!
Not sure about the rest of you, but of all my favorite teams' rival fans, the Islanders are BY FAR THE WORST!

You should have tried growing up surrounded by them in the late 70s/early 80s as the lone rangers fan.
Early '90s were tough-ish until we won the cup in '94 though not nearly as bad as it must have been back in the late '70s/early '80s. Too many 1940 chants at the Garden for sure. Those fans got their 4 in a row and 5 straight conference titles, but in my book will have to wait at least 55 years from their last title in '83 until they can win again!

I know I've mentioned this before, but the first NHL game I attended was an Islanders game at the old Nassau Coliseum - back in the '90's sometime. Great seats, and the fans around me were kind enough to explain the finer points of the game to this California kid.
At the end of the game, I could hear singing from the crowd, and I asked what it was. Was told about the 1940 chant regarding the Rangers, even though that wasn't the opponent of the game I watched.
I was a casual LA Kings fan when I lived in CA, but really got into it when I moved to Denver and the Nordiques relocated, became the Avalanche, and won the Stanley Cup the first year they were here.
Wow, I sure appreciate everyone’s concern for the well being of the M2c. We definitely have some real humanitarians here. Suzanne Somers would be proud.

I really should have skipped this buying another house scheme. I’ve been really bored with this winter and probably would have made a car move just to amuse myself.
I wanted a fun car that was more kid seat friendly. I loved the compact size of the M2 and didn't want something that was a lot bigger, but it still had to be able to accommodate a rear-facing seat. Be able to do the errands in town. Maybe be able to do a HPDE, go to cars and coffee meets with the kiddo, etc. My initial list was M3, CT4BW, IS500, GTI or Golf R, S3/RS3. These cars are all hard to find. I also included the Integra Type S and the Civic Type R, but honestly I thought these were basically impossible to get. I've been doing some test drives when I could find something. Maybe I'll do a separate post on the other cars, but to make a long story short, I saw a preowned Type-R come up for sale on Saturday, at my local BMW dealer, and figured I'd better check it out. 3k miles. I can do another separate post on the deal later.
This car is a riot to drive. It's hard not to laugh driving it. It is not as powerful as the M2C, but it somehow it feels at least as eager in everyday driving. The manual is perfect, literally the best manual I've ever driven. Better than my old Miata, and leagues better than the BMW. I don't know, I won't rehash what every review has already said. But given my mission, I'm not sure what would be better. The M3 is huge in comparison and is a lot more expensive. The CT4BW has a miniscule back seat, and the local dealer has the WORST reputation when it comes to service. The Mk8 Golf forum is an endless list of electronics issues and error messages. I'm not claiming the CTR is a better car than the M2C, but so far, I'm not having less fun driving it.
Congrats @tifighter! Seems extremely fortuitous that your local BMW dealer had one available. I would assume they're not treating it quite as precious as a Honda dealer would, and of course they also would have valued your M2C.
I remember how much fun my Type R was, and sounds like everything is much improved in this new generation. And I love the boost blue!
@tifighter - Congrats on the Civic Type R! Bravo for getting rid of a car you truly love after realizing you aren't driving it all that much! I know you'll post about the deal soon, but I hope you were happy with the price of the Type R & the trade in value you got for the BMW. Did you shop the trade or were you happy with what they offered you?

Helped a good friend’s son with a 2024 Forester purchase yesterday in Seattle. Seems like the new car market there has normalized a bit - ended up getting it for $1200 under invoice, special financing through chase, and they also got the Subaru Gold extended warranty to 10/100 for what I assume has to be close to cost.
Not too shabby!

Nice job! What was the sticker on that bad boy? Dealerships are choking on cars. The Hyundai dealer in my town has rented out garage space in one of the malls to store brand new cars. Extra rent on top of their floor plan interest and other high overhead?

@tifighter - Congrats on the Type R! I remember a few years ago on another topic a classic -and annoying- BMW "wearer" was taken by surprise that several others had not replaced a BMW with another one. He actually asked for an explanation, but apparently he didn't like what he heard and never returned. Which was a pleasant side effect.
