i am new at this, so please bear w/ me. are you saying that you did a 27 month lease on a $48,680 m35 for nothing more than $599.40? Does this include the monthly taxes? And you had the $974 rolled into the 27 monthly payments - correct?
I just used AAA's auto buying program to buy my M35as X and paid what the Infiniti dealer called an invoice deal. I paid exactly what they paid for the car plus the destination fee and taxes. I now swear by this AAA auto buying program. I first called the dealer ( Atlantic Infiniti) and spoke to the AAA representitive and was quoted the price over the phone and it did not change! Oh yea the car is great, took delivery on Monday and am in heaven! Cant wait to take a long road trip! The nav system is hot!
Thanks much. I finally got the dealer to email me a quote. I was hoping you could do me another favor and tell me what you think. I do not understand how the MF and residual effect the lease rate and was hoping you could educate me. Additionally, I have no problem going 39 months IF you think this is a good deal. I will be happy to call you if it would be easier for you. The dealer is Roswell Infiniti in Roswell, GA. Here it is:
"Mr. x,
I hope that you receive this email as we have been having some issues with it. Infiniti is not currently offering a 27 month lease. The most attractive lease is the 39 month lease, both the 24 month and the 36 month result in higher monthly payments. The 39 month 15K per year lease breaks down like this:
MSRP $46,660 Discount $3,000 Res. 52% Acq. fee $595 Doc. fee $499 MF .72 TTL $43 Payment $576 plus tax and tax is 7% on the payment only each month.
MSRP $43,725 Discount $3,000 Payment $549 plus tax
We are giving you our best offer via email in hopes that you'll decide to lease through us. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank You,
Subject: lease quotes
Victoria,
Please have your leasing manager quote me on the black/black m35 (msrp $46,660) and the black/tan m35 (msrp $43,725) based on 27 months, based on NO money down and 15K miles annually. I will need to see the details of the lease including:
Martin- May I suggest you go back and edit your prior message to remove your e-mail address and phone number ASAP! Otherwise it will be spam city for you.
You're doing great so far. The MF of .72 is, of course, wrong...maybe it's .00072...it would be good to know the real number.
Now...go back to the dealer and ask how the monthly lease price changes if you give them multiple security deposits. Each MSD should reduce the interest rate (MF) by .0001. Doesn't sound like much, but it does make a significant difference over the life of the lease. I don't know your finances but you can give up to 7 and I think each one will be $600 in your case. So..if you loan infinity $4200 which you will get back at the end of the lease, you will reduce your monthly payments and save roughly 11% per year which is more than that $4200 would earn in a bank.
Anyone know of a good lease program offered by the dealers, I'm looking to put no money down and I'm note sure if multiple security deposits is offered in NY! But I would prefer not to do that either.
I'm looking for a m35x or a m35 sport with a 24 month lease and 12kmile per year, any suggestions? please help
I bought a loaded M35x in the metro Washington DC area earlier this month at dealer invoice. As far as I am concerned there is no reason to pay much over dealer invoice - the deals are there if you are willing to shop around. On the other hand, I was amazed at the arrogance of some dealers who offered me "a deal" at a price nearly equal to MSRP!
Excellent lease rates available this month also.
This is a great car except for the notoriously miserable gas mileage. As gas prices continue to creep up toward $4.00, sales of these cars are going to languish. In short, it is a buyer's market now; don't be fooled otherwise.
Darman- I got the Tech, Advanced tech and Xenon lights packages as well as mats and splashguards. The car had an MSRP of about $51,710 or so and a dealer invoice of about $47,200 (I don't have my paperwork in front of me, so these numbers could be off a few dollars). The only other charge was the infamous "dealer prep/documentation" fee of $299. This was in VA; I live close enough to MD to consider going there where by law dealer fees are capped at $100, but I had such a pleasant buying experience at the VA dealership that I decided to stick with them (they also throw in the first two years of maintenance at no extra charge.
$625/Mo. Total due at signing is first month payment and DMV Fees. cap cost - $42,105. Residual 64% or $29,011. money factor .00001. 24 months 15,000 miles. $635/Mo. cap cost is $42105. Residual 63% or $28,557. money factor .00001.
If i were to add the tech package, the price goes to $649.00 with 12k
Just bought a new 2007 M45 Sport in Baltimore. Fresh off the truck.
Diamond Graphite Black interior Tech Pkg Aero Kit XM Space saver, trunk thingy
Paid $52,309 plus tax, tags and title. Took 5 minutes to negotiate the price. Interestingly, their first counter-offer was the Edmunds TMV price of $54,366. Dealer was very good during whole process. Let me do an overnight test drive in a different M45 Sport, which I drove the hell out of. It's a great car.
Just had a terrible experience with Millenium Infiniti (Manhasset) in New York. I spent much time researching the M35X I wanted and went to to the dealership ready to deal. I wound up dealing directly with the sales manager after the salesperson kept needing to go back and forth to speak to her to verify numbers. The salesmen there don't even have computers on their desks so they have to go the sales manager's office to verify every single number! Anyway, I spent over an hour speaking with the sales manager to run the numbers. She gave me specific numbers but I told her I had to discuss it with my wife. I discussed it with my wife later that night and we agreed to go ahead with the deal. I went back to the dealership a few days later with the intent of signing the deal. Now the sales manager is saying that she doesn't have the paperwork for the deal - that the original salesperson must have it. I waited around for an hour and a half for the salesperson to return from some task he had been sent out to perform. In the meantime the sales manager says she will try to "back into the deal" with the numbers that we had agreed upon. All of a sudden now the numbers are "not coming up right". She tells me that when the salesperson returns she'll go over the deal with him and call me later that evening. She never called back. I call up the next morning and seemed to be getting the "run around". I'm told that the numbers don't work out - and that maybe those numbers were for a G35! I just couldn't believe it. They gave me a number which was $60 dollars more per month then the original number as if they were doing me a favor. They were very obnoxious at that point and just kept telling me "this is the deal, take it or leave it". Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know about having such a unpleasant experience at Millenium Infiniti in New York which I will of course be warning everyone I know to stay away from.
Thanks for the warning...and it sounds like a dealer you probably should avoid. If your sales experience is this questionable, it's unlikely that you will suddenly get great service on that warranty work, etc.
Your first clue, as you pointed out, was that you were dealing with someone who had no authority to do anything. Although the salesman hates it, when I am in that situation, I suggest that if they want to sell me a car, we get the person in the room who can agree or disagree with numbers. If they say, that's not the way we work, I point out that it's the way I buy....and it's their choice. After the pregnant silence and the walk to the manager's office, they almost always come back with manager in tow. Most often, we move to the manager's office...
At that point, I can negotiate for the car....and we write everything down. If the manager doesn't have time, I don't either. It's amazing how walking towards the door changes things...
You should report that experience to Infiniti corporate. I live in Massachusetts. Over the years the Infiniti dealers in Newton and Natick lost their franchise because of similar practices.
anyone can tell me whether this is a good deal. i'm using the costco auto program. 2007 .m35 sport tech package with advanced tech package with xm sat radio and aero body kit. msrp $52,005 invoice $47,400. I was offer $48,000 plus tax and license. total $52,800. any help would appreciate.
Can someone tell me what the invoice price should be for this car? If I want to pay invoice price, does that include the destination fee of 715?
here are some numbers: M35x AWD (base) MSPR : $44,550 Invoice: $40,938 Dest: 715
Technology package MSRP: $2950 Invoice: $2542
Whats the real cost to the dealer for the M35x AWD with Technology package???
is it: $40938 + $2,542 = $43,480
or is it: $40938 + 715+ $2,542 = $44,195
I've talked to a few dealers to see who can give me closest to Invoice price, they all seemed to add the $715 dest. on top of the $43,480. But I wasn't sure if they actually paid the $44,195 or if the $715 they were adding was just extra profit for them and if the $715 was included in the $40938 invoice price.
Would love to get some feedback from some of the experienced folks on here...
I am looking at an M35 with Journey and Technology package. Not looking for many additional features as mostly looking at the M35 for the look, interior comfort and the drive.
Working with Nielo infiniti in the Bay Area California.
Without any negotiation the Internet Sales Manager is offering "500 over invoice" as a Costco member deal.
The car I am thinking of is M35 + Journey + Technology + Splash Guards and comes out as:
re: I purchased an M35 this weekend. I got it with Tech, Journey, splashguards, trunk mat, and Sirius for $43,850 in Houston. I was also able to take advantage of Infiniti's 3.99% financing.
I live in The Woodlands and was hoping you could let me know the dealership and salesman you bought your car from. If you are able to give me any detailed pricing specifics that would help me go to the same place you did & hopefully get the same price.
North Houston Infiniti (which will be quite convenient if you live in The Woodlands). The rules say I can't give names away, but I'll tell you that I dealt with the Internet Manager. You may be able to do better than that now; I bought my car at the end of March. I think their best financing rate is 2.99 now, so hopefully you'll be able to get that if you finance any part of the car. Good luck!
I just leased a M35 sport fully loaded. MSRP = $52,095. I was able to purchase vehicle for $48,000.00. My terms were 24 month at 18k per year. My payment is $745.00/mo with $1,000.00 total out of pocket. Infinity agreed to make my first payment since I was already a prior customer. Great car!!!
leased 2007 M45 sport yesterday. Tech package, rear spoiler, XM. $55,075 list. redidual was 63% MF was .00020. I think Infiniti is giving these cars away at the moment, as I paid only $599/mo, no money down, 15k miles, 24 mo lease. Competition infiniti on Long Island even gave me a trade-in on my leased FX I was returning, so the price of the new M45 was only approx 48,500. an awesome deal, and the dealership was a pleasure to do business with. See Fritz there..best salesman, i have EVER done business with. Hope this helps all looking for an M45!
There is no premium for black/tan except of course if that's the color you want and you tell the dealer, then the dealer will tell you that it's the hot combination.
It would be better negotiation to say you really wanted black and black...so this isn't really exactly what you wanted...but if the price were right, you might be able to live with Tan.
There is an old sales rule of thumb....a customer with a check in their hand is much better than no customer. They would much rather sell you the car than have to wait for who knows how long for someone else to come in. You have something they want....money. They are not doing you a favor by selling you the car. It's an attitude thing.
Make them a low offer. If they say no, head for the door and tell them to call you if they decide it's interesting. I would probably offer the Edmunds average condition price of around $34000 and I would refuse to pay any dealer "administrative fees".
I'm looking to buy an M35x in the next few weeks. Worked up the numbers on the carbuyingtips.com spreadsheet after getting all of the pertinent data from edmunds. I'm going to purchase the car with their dealer financing and cash. I have a couple of questions before going into the dealer:
first, I want to take advantage of their 2.9% financing this month. Are there any associated bank fees that they tag on to their loans?
second, after we've arrived at the final price, and added state tax and destination, what are the typical charges that have been added for dealer prep, doc fee, or anything else? I just want to be prepared and don't want to get sideswiped by them. Thanks for the help.
Hi, Anyone had any experience on Purchasing/Leasing a M35 in the NOrth Texas area? I am looking to purchase one and was wondering if someone recently bought one and could share their experience. Thanks in advance.
I would like to purchase a 2008 M35 with the technology and advanced technology packages. The dealer offered invoice (which has not yet been published) plus $1,000, as this is a new model. I would be grateful for your thoughts on whether this is a good price over the dealer invoice or what you think is reasonable. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
I would tell the dealer to shove it....strong message to follow. You should be able to negotiate a deal for a 2008 at maybe $1000 over invoice. If your dealer really thinks he can sell Infiniti's over list price, you better be ready for what he thinks he can charge for service. Let him sit with his precious cars
Whoops....I read too fast. Memories of some of the car dealers I've tried to work with in the past.....
Personally, I would be comfortable with $1000 over invoice. It's a tough call....car sales are down so the dealer does have to move cars to make any money. However, he will be getting only a few 2008's the first month so he will try to get top $ for them. Maybe you could negotiate it down by another $250/$300 or so once the car is out for a couple of months, but I think I'd just agree to the price and get one of the first ones, equiped exactly the way I wanted it in the exterior/interior colors I wanted.
quoted $40000 for a 06 M45 Sport with Journey, Nav, surround, rosewood, 22000 miles. Should I be able to negotiate more? Also, how are these cars in snow?
Had the same experience with same car as kimchee_rulz but in MD (JimColemanInfiniti). The OTD price however was $46000 (due to MD taxes). MD also charges extra for yearly registration fee because M35X weighs more than 3900 lbs.
I came across a 2006 M35 (I think it's a sport because of interior) with 9, 551 miles on it. They are asking 34,900 for it. I'd like to know if this is a good price or if I should try and offer lower price if I am interested?
I have an '06 M35x. The base price was about the same as the Sport at the time. That's about the middle of the range price wise ... I've seen them for $30k and $39k ... but the one you have has very low mileage, so that is a big plus. You'd have to know the equipment packages as while they made close to a $10k price differential when new, that gap will have narrowed at this point. Point being, you want to have as many goodies, such as Navi, on the car.
I just got a M35 in Houston with Tech and journey package for invoice $42517.00 and out the door $45970.00 with two years of oil change thrown in. Hope it helps.

Victoria,
Please have your leasing manager quote me on the black/black m35 (msrp $46,660) and the black/tan m35 (msrp $43,725) based on 27 months, based on NO money down and 15K miles annually. I will need to see the details of the lease including:
* Sales price after discount
* TTL & Acquisition Fees
* Residual
* MF
* FC Sales Tax
= monthly payment
I want the TTL & Acquisition fee roled into the monthly lease. Basically, I only want to give you a check for the 1st month's lease.
If your lease manager has better money at 24, 36 or 39 months, I would like to see those numbers.
Please email me the details.
