Those were pretty rare even when new. Can’t be many left. I assume from the shine that it is a repaint. But the interior looks really good so who knows.
Excuse me if I'm being trollish, but would anyone repaint something that color? I mean on purpose?
Well, variations of that sort of metallic green is an iconic Chrysler color of the '70s. Some years it seemed the majority of their production was produced in those shades.

Probably original color and IMO, a cool period correct hue. It looks rugged and outdoorsy
83 Supra Not a turbo, but 3 pedals and looks clean. I have to say that the materials look so much better than what you would find in a Camaro or Mustang in 83
oh I love that generation Supra. did that generation even come as a Turbo? Would much rather not have a turbo on something of that vintage. Don't add that much power, and way less complicated.
steering wheel has to go though. For the price, looks nice.

Took the old dear out today - a woman in a very clean Jag S-Type pulled up to me and was raving about the car, always amuses me to get reactions like that. I have a bluetooth adapter for the Becker Europa radio in the car (these old radios have aux inputs), and the SiriusXM 50s-60s pop station had a good lineup, as I almost always listen to music of the era when driving. Car ran and drove fine on this probably final warm nice weekend of the year, as the weather pattern changes this week and we'll be looking at snow before we know it. Pic taken at my neighborhood elementary school dating to 1923, providing kind of a period backdrop:
I didn't notice rust on the Celica, maybe that's a plastic/rubber cover? Cars generally don't rust out badly here, although if the car isn't originally from here, who can say. I recall that era Celica could get a little rust over time, almost always on the rear section of the hatch.
Had the old dear out for a couple hours today, didn't miss a beat. The clock is ticking on driving season now, with even a possible dusting of snow this week (at night, still well above freezing in the day). Had the car out in mid-upper 30s weather this morning, heater works fine. The leaves are changing and falling fast:
Yeah that 250S should be detailed to concours for the price. Not entirely out of line if everything checks out, but also at the top of the market for a survivor car of ordinary spec (250S was the base model of what would become the S class, replacing the 220S fintail - carbureted car, notice it has a vinyl/tex interior and a blank box where the AC outlet would be). Still a lot of build quality and elegant presence for the money.
There is a 300SEL 6.3 about 2-1/2 hours from me (an easy one-day round trip). It would be great fun to bomb around in I'm sure, but the brakes need service, as does the air suspension, and the differential leaks. Fixing those would just about consume my retirement account. Oh well, I don't have room anyway.

It's only money - lots of it. For maybe 100K you could restore it.
10 year old design by then, final run of the W201 which ended for the 1993 model year in the USDM. The last ones could have the 8 hole wheels similar to on period S and E. Big car complications in a smaller car.

Getting cold here finally so not many actual classics, but some interesting stuff from the last century. I exclude anything older than 1960 because I generally don't know what I am looking at from 50s and earlier cars
Unmolested 87 6 cyl Camaro Has been listed forever but looks good enough. Guess it hasn't found the right buyer to appreciate this for what it is
Baby Benz Marketed as a gas saver. Looks like a decent little driver
Changed the oil in the Mustang today. Wasn't a total disaster like a year or two ago. One of the drain plugs fell in the collecting tub and I should have let the back plug drain a little longer but not the end of the world. Took the warm oil to Advance Auto where they recycle it for free. Back when I was in CT, I used to bring the oil to the town Highway Dept and they would burn it.
The Wisconsin Escape is here for Thanksgiving, so I cleaned it up the other day. Clock wasn't working, so I looked up how to fix it. First video said to disconnect the battery ground cable. Of course, it's really buried in the back of the engine compartment and the negative post is furthest back. Next video said to pull the SYNC fuse for a minute or so. No so bad. Third video showed how to reset SYNC from the settings screen. Decided to use the screen reset. It took a while and trying it on a 12+ year old vehicle added to my nervousness, but it worked. Clock now works and the screen now loads up in less than 10 seconds, which is a nice improvement.
It still looks pretty good! I see many of that age that just look so abused. Anymore, I don't think of 10+ year-old cars as "old," but, back in the 80s, it was a rare thing to see a 10+ car in any condition other than "beater."

Yes, just from the lack of rust it was definitely cared for.

When my wife had it, it was always garaged at home. Since it moved to Wisconsin almost 9 years ago, it's been garaged at home and at work. Just had to remind her to take it to the car wash once a month, especially now that it's winter.
Wow that's a beauty. 300SE was top of the line - air suspension with a large engine related to that in the 300SL gullwing. Interior finishes were a cut above other fintails, and this car, the step above mine, probably cost 70% more when new. I'll have to see if it exists in German rather than translated.

Low miles on this 5 series
This Audi - are you feeling brave?
This Lincoln may be a gamble but looks like it's held up really well
That version 5er, on the other hand, was such a disappointment, styling-wise.

I am sure these don't go for that but fun to see it

One of the lazier ads I have seen in a while
"I know what it is and what it is worth." yeah so do I (to be fair I like these, but I know the pitfall potential)
Maybe an easy fix, has to be some parts in that color
Also thin on the ground
And another pops up, the first needs a bit of work, this one is dear
Grand Grand Grand Caravan
" I shouldn't have bought it" I concur
Probably one of the nicest cars on local CL, I like these but cringe at thinking of running costs
Quite a few miles for one of these
I don't know about "rare" but granny's back support pillow may bode well
I like these too but I don't know if the conversion would make it better
What are the front seats from? Price is fair, final run car titled late as fintails replaced the lower line cars in 1961

I had two of those with the 2.6. Fairly nice little cars but sluggish and overly complicated under the hood, making them pretty unreliable.

6K for that Kei van that doesn't run?
Mustang has to be a scam.
Mustang and Benz links dead.
The value of that Camaro is as an engine swap project. Solid starting point.
You can get a nice, low-mileage, working Kei van for that price.
