Can anyone let me know if this is a good deal? I feel like the price is still a little bit high. Numbers are based on 36mo/15K.

    MSRP: $58,770
    Sales Price: $54,947
Fees: $2,583 (Acquisition Fee, Transport (buying out of state and shipping in), Doc Fee, Title, Registration)
    Monthly w/ Tax: $797

Hopefully I covered all the needed info.

    Thanks!

So, if those fees are added to the CAP cost, I get $692/mo.+tax.

Seems like some major padding and probably a money factor markup.

    Isn't the residual for 15K, 61%?

    Demo lease x4m40i 10k/year
8k miles already. Originally 63,000 MSRP

    asking: 55,000
    Discount: 50,000
    fees:925.00
    Down pymt: 0
    Residual 58%
    MF: .00146
    Monthly tax: 7.0%

Monthly payment after tax 630 (with taxes)
    2,500 fees up front

Any thoughts on this deal? Monthly seems high. They said x4's usually don't lease well.

Of course they'll tell you that, after they've quoted you a gigantic payment.

    .00146 and 64% for 36/10.

Seems like a big hit on the residual for the miles, but BMW has changed their demo program around to make it less advantageous.

Using your numbers, as is ($63K MSRP, $50K selling price, .00146 and 58%), I get $535/mo after taxes. Long way from $630 ($3400 or so)

Ask the dealer what adjusted cap cost they are using, and how they got there from the $50K selling price.

Wow 535/month after taxes. Thats a big diff.

I was hoping it'll be around 590 with taxes with that 50k selling price.

They said they can't change the residual of 58%; being an executive demo.

Had another dealership with almost identical car
8k miles demo. msrp initially $64k asking for 51,000. With monthly of $615 same 2400 fees. Little more pushy than first one. But harder to ask for anything under 600$/month

How does demo car work with these residuals?

All seem to be marked up.

Hard to find a x4 good numbers nowadays unless they are really trying to get rid of the car.

    thanks for the help

They changed the residual rules for demo/loaners over 5000 miles, back in March. The residual reduction is huge, now, and it makes it hard to get a good lease payment. If you can find a demo with less than 5K miles, and a big discount, that might work better.

Hello, could you please tell me the MF/RV for 2017 X4 M40i for 36Mo/12k miles? I believe I read some where that exec demos will need to subtract 4% from standard residual and add 0.25/mi. Does this apply to retired service loaners as well? Thanks!

It depends on the mileage. If it's under 5000 miles, then it's just a $0.25/mi. reduction.
Over 5K miles, then 4% lower, and $0.25/mi.

    Hi,

Can you provide the RV and the MF for 2017 BMW X4 in SoCal for 36mo/30K? Would it be different if it’s a demo car with 6990 mls on it? If so, would you provide numbers for that? Also what do you think would be a fair price for an X4 w/ just enough mls to be eligible for new leasing rates and tech pckg/driver asst/harmon kardan sound?

    Thanks!

For 6990 miles, subtract both 4% and .25/mile

For a new BMW, we suggest 7% off sticker price. For a demo model, that price should be lower to account for the miles and the adjusted residual.

    Hi

I'm looking for 2017 Demo X4 leasing in So Cal, found one with 7K millage, $53K MSRP, discounted price $45K. With $3K down, 10/36, the dealer offered me 0.00151 money factor and 60% residual with $505 pre tax. Is their calc right or any hidden mark-up embedded?

Also wonder whether from $53K to $45K is a good deal given the millage and if there's any further bargaining space?

Regarding this vehicle, our plan is to keep it for long term (6+ years) without paying too much monthly payment upfront ($3K down payment is likely resulted in $600+ monthly payments over 72 months). Does it make sense to lease a demo 36 months then renew for another 36 months before buy it out? Or we should look for new ones if consider keeping long-term? Thanks!!!

If your intention is to keep it long term, just buy it up front. Skip the leasing fees altogether.

And, the residual on a demo lease really suffers - with 7000 miles, take 4% off the published residual, and .25/mile.

Thanks Michaell for your quick response! With the info I provided above, what the monthly payment should be?

If purchase, is there any incentive of buying a demo one with discount upon millage or I should try to find a new one?

Thanks Michaell for your quick response! With the info I provided above, what the monthly payment should be?

If purchase, is there any incentive of buying a demo one with discount upon millage or I should try to find a new one?

My question back to you is - can you get a similar discount on a new car? The idea of a demo is that you should get better pricing, to make up for the residual adjustment.

What does the $3K at signing cover? Any of it used for cap reduction (aka down payment)?
