first one that is $597 a month is a 36 months, 12k miles a year and the second one at $596 a month is 39 months, 12k miles a year, so again when i say take $4000 or $6000 off thats what they are discounted the vehicle, off the msrp

    .00061 MF and 56% residual for 36/12
    .00069 MF and 55% residual for 39/12

Are these two different deals at different dealers?
The first one looks about right, but the 2nd one seems like it should be cheaper, given the numbers provided.
Get the first deal quoted as a 39/12 lease, and the payment should come down about $25/mo.

yes two different dealers!! and just spoke to the first quote dealership, and they are not budging, saying he is losing money, and that is at 39 months 12k miles a year, so do you do you think he is just BS or?

The first one seems realistic. I have doubts about the second one.

But, no experience with pricing. Can't give you any insight on that.

ok so i got another offer on a more expensive model, priced MSRP at 59,325, dont know how much they are discounting the vehicle but i did tell them that the other dealership discounted that vehicle $6000, so they told me, $2000 down at $639 a month, 39months 12k miles a year, to bring that number down, i would need to put $3000 down to get it to $620 a month, knocking it down $19, how does this sound? and for every thousand you put down how much should come of the monthly payment? thank you in advance

Assuming the selling price is the cap cost, I get $622/mo before tax with those numbers.

I'd ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost.

What state and tax rate is this?

    NJ

Still need to know the adjusted cap cost; NJ assesses tax against the sum of the payments and collects it up front. Are you paying it out of pocket or rolling it into the lease?

Here is the Breakdown of the $5,000.00.

    1st month's payment - $564.00
    Up front fees - $465.70
    Tax-  $1,877.61

    Total = $2,907.31

    Subtract $5,000.00

Giving you a Cap Cost Reduction of $2,092.63

Capcost went up from 1403 to 2092. I asked them why and was told that's a mistake. Residual is 56% not 53%. That's a mistake too from the dealer..

We advise against any sort of cap reduction up front; if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.
