    Standard MF and 56% residual.

I'm surprised C63 can only keep 56% after 2 years and 20000 miles

Higher trim, specialty models generally come with the lowest residuals.

I was told yesterday that the C63 AMG sedan was 54% for 24 mo with a MF of .00325. This seemed really poor for a 2 yr lease. Is this correct or do the dealers have the ability to "pad" either or both of these numbers over what MB finance quotes. Thanks

Residual is fixed by the bank but dealer can bump the MF for more profit.

The 24 month residuals are terrible. This is going to be an expensive car to lease, no matter what, but you have to stick with 36 months.

I think MB is intentionally deflate the RV so that they can maximize even more profit. I highly doubt that C63 will be sold for half of its MSRP in 2 years especially if the mileage is only 20k. I don't see a reason to lease if RV is only 54%. I think it makes more sense to finance it with much lower interest rate then sell it after 2 years for more than 65+%

They just aren't supporting 24 month leases.

In general, unless the manufacturer is running some sort of short-term special, 24 month leases are never cost effective. That goes for every make and model. Maybe 5% of the time, you'll stumble on to a good 24 month lease, but almost never on high priced specialty models, unless they just can't move them.

The 36 mo lease is only 51%. That also is not competitive and both numbers were on 7500 mi/yr. Dealer said it was because people "beat up" the AMG versions and thus their value is low. Not sure that makes sense to me in that I would suspect for every person that would track the car another "car guy" would take particularly good care of the car. I agree assuming the lease terms remain this poor then it would be best to just buy the car. I checked used values for 2 yr old AMG cars and they are typically asking 65% or so of original MSRP so probably getting about 60%

That residual is for the C63S - the "regular" C63 (did I just type that?) has a 36/7.5 residual of 54%

And, limited edition and highly optioned cars often have a poor residual compared to lower trim levels and engines.

Thanks for the clarification. The regular C63 is about as rare as a bald eagle. Interesting, I checked several of the high end dealers here in SoCal that do a lot of 2-3 yr old AMG models and the 3 yr old ones are around low 50% range from their original MSRP, S63 and S550 seem to hold up better, but who knows. Sounds like the residuals are not far off from real value.

I keep waiting for that Porsche Cayman to drop into my price range, but it never seems to quite get there. :p
