That money factor equals 2/100th of 1%? Is that right? That adds about 60 cents to the monthly payment over the depreciation.

Also, does VW lease through Chase or another company?

I leased a 2016 Touareg and my lease is through VW.

As noted, VW Credit is not affiliated with any financial institution; they are an independent company.

Can purchase 17 Wolfsburg for $48,800 outright, sticker 54,365. VW sign & drive lease looks like might be better deal, although dealer said purchase price would be 49,800 on lease. Any idea what monthly payment would be? Thanks

I would like the residual and money factor for a 17 Wolfsburg. I realize 48 months is not ideal; however, I am upside down some and need the length of the lease to be a little longer.

Hmm. The Atlas has not been added to the list of VW models available via drop down. I'll check with HQ and see when that will happen. When it's available, we can create the thread.

They are supposed to hit the dealers tomorrow, correct? I got an invite from the VW dealer where I leased my Jetta to attend their kick off party.

I'll agree -- to a point.

The lease numbers on almost all the full-size three row SUV's are adequate, at best. It's a competitive market, and manufacturers know this segment is a license to print money.

It wouldn't take much for VW to undercut the Pilot, the Traverse/Acadia, the Pathfinder and other competitors to gain market share.

I saw the Atlas at the auto show, and I liked it. It's handsome on the outside (others may say bland), and the inside is pure VW. As I'm past the point in my life where I need a 3-row SUV, I don't pay too much attention to the segment, other than to help folks with numbers on the various threads.

We are really taking over this thread with Atlas, apologies for that. 
I got some prelim information from a dealer in SoCal yesterday. Atlas DEL premium 12k miles/year, 36 months lease. Moneyy factor 0.002 (seems really high), residual at 59%, for an MSRP of $49,965.

No information about the 2016 Touareg TDi availability. I know the 2.0 TDi's just became available for sale.

(It looks like dealers want these gone, and it might make for a decent 24 mo lease if prices drop some more through October.)
