A 61 Ford paerked behind the Cadillac. 2 more 60 Fords, one light, one dark, near the building in the background.
A 59 Ford a couple of rows further away from the 61 Ford.

Your friendly L.A. Area Ford dealer seemed to be doing very well back then!

Another 1960 Ford under the middle of the up-in-the-air thing. Low line model.

Being at an airport, I wonder if the lowline cars are rentals. The 61 Galaxie beside the Olds wagon might be an exception, but I notice it is on blackwalls.

I cannot make out anything near the building in the background. The picture resolution just isn’t there.

Found what seems to be a better-resolution photo of the same Theme Building shot. Let’s see what we can see off in the distance:

I wonder what's in front of the nearmost 60 Ford. Karmann-Ghia?

In the background near the building, at right beside/behind a squarebird, is a 60 Ford wagon. By the proportions it may be a 2 door Ranch Wagon.

Might be. My first inclination was an early Falcon b/c of the white steering wheel but it looks too small. Could be as you say.

I'll note the Corsair flat top (probably a 60) next to the early 50's Plymouth.

59 62 convertible. I dislike when the wipers are not parked all the way down. The wiper transmission on the 59 and 60s was prone to wear and became slack.

Maybe a rerun? Apparently Netherlands, I suspect 1968 or very close, zooms fine, a bit of diversity here:

The blue Mercedes in the right lane is a Universal. Almost unknown in the US, may be more common in Europe.

Yes, looks like a Universal based on a first series (190 badged) W110. Around 2500 units total were built for 190 badged cars, diesel and gasoline cars combined. A handful made it to the US, but they were rare even in Europe and are probably the most sought after fintail.

Van diagonal behind the Corvair may be a Ford Transit.

Car in front of it is unexpected.

A couple of BMC Austin/Morris 1100 ADO16 models close to each other.

I notice the white ADO16 appears to be on a UK plate with an E or F suffix, denoting 1967-68.

There is a Trabant ahead of a Ford uk Transit van
  • magnettemagnette Member Posts: 4,225
    Mix of ADO 16 's

Brit one is an Austin Mk 2 and is a 2-door while the dark green one is a Morris and is an early 4 door

In some countries in Europe the ADO 16 was locally badged as a Morris or Austin Glider

certainly in Denmark but probably in Benelux too.
