Well, the Giulietta Sprint Speciale was introduced in 1959, and didn't get bumpers until late 1960 - then it remained the same, more or less, until 1962. So is this one of the first, from 59/60?
Close it's a 1970 Chevy Nova SS/396 (note badge), IIRC by 1970 Chevy had dropped the Chevy II name in favor of Nova (which had been the top version of the Chevy II).
UK street-legal "track day" car. I believe this open-top version is called the CanAm. Usually powered by a small-block Chev V8. Weighs next to nothing.
Holds (held?) a Top Gear lap record by the Stig for street-legal cars.
Side note: I read that there's a congressman/car-nut from Orange County CA who has been trying to allow cottage-industry new cars (less than 500 units/year) like this (or perhaps innovative American builders?) to be allowed on US streets.
Sorry guys, but that is not an Ambassador wagon. The 1960 Ambassador wagon had different wheel covers, a different grille, and had ornaments on top of each fender.
Yes...and no. The Euro-only Chrysler 300 Touring wagon and the Fiat Bravo five-door are my clumsy way to celebrate the impending marriage of Fiat and Chrysler.
Yes it could come up w something as bizarre as the unlamented "Chrysler TC by Maserati" or they could give us a Dodge-badged Bravo w diesel power and 38 mpg.
The 300 Touring is Europe-only from the factory, but a few years ago I saw a Dodge Magnum fully converted to a 300 and blinged out with giant chrome wheels, billet grille, and a really obnoxious two-tone paint job.
It is indeed an Ultima Can Am. I think this one has a Chevy 350cu in, and it weighs zero, so it is almost as fast as a Veyron - not bad for a kit-car. There are several others around in the background...
OK, I'll play. This is a Daimler 250. What it shares with the two preceding ones (the BMW 503 and the Siata 208S) is that they were all powered by V8 engines.

Well, I've never seen any of the three, so it was a guess. But I was willing to shoot for it based on the carbs alone. The central location of the spark plugs was merely corroborating evidence. . .
Come to think of it, for all I know the BMW and Fiat/Siata engines may also have been "hemis." Anyone out there know for sure?

Imagine what it was like to see one on the road in the mid-50's, surrounded by chrome-laden Yank Tanks.
I didn't think it would stump anyone for long but I thought the photo, so redolent of early 60s Euro-style was interesting.

The wagon that was the subject of #20000 seems to have disappeared so here's another like it>

It's also similar to a 507, but the 507 has that upkick after the door. Lovely car and color.
