Is the black car a Chevy? Looking at it again, I'm more inclined to go with 1952 Plymouth, which is what I think you said earlier. At a quick glance, a '52 Plymouth does look a bit like a '49-50 Chevy.
For the very last car on the right, the one that looks like a light grayish green, I'm going with 1954 Pontiac. I don't see the silver streak, but it could be that it's just washed out by the glare in that old pic.
I've confused myself I've done so much looking at pictures to try to match the cars with names and years. This is the era of cars I like to figure out.
I'm hoping for a larger picture to see that first horizontal bar on the green car at the rear.
The black car is a 51 Plymouth. It has the shield badge on the nose which was replaced on the 52 Plymouths by a circular badge. I agree on the last car being a 54 Pontiac.
Himm, I think that black car might indeed be a Plymouth but surely the light green car on the right is an early 50's Buick.
Buicks still used those toothy grilles from 1950-54, although by '54 they became finer, and then it evolved into more of a mesh/lattice pattern for '55. That oval center piece in the grille made me think of a '54 Pontiac...
I tried to post another pic of a '54 Pontiac, but it wouldn't take. Anyway, on the other one, the silver streak appeared to just be 6 silver strips with body-color in between. So maybe the full chrome thing was an option? If that one in the pic AndyS posted just had the 6 thin strips, it might be washed out by the glare.
...that Cadillac could be as late as a 1949 model. Cadillac restyled its entire lineup in 1948 save for the Series 75 which remained on the prewar platform. The Series 75 wouldn't be updated until 1950.

On the side closest to the viewer: 1955 or 1956 Buick Roadmaster convertible, 1958 Chevrolet wagon, behind the man locking the Chevy wagon appears to be the corner of a 1958 Ford wagon, in front of the unidentified white car appears to be a 1957 Ford.
Across the street: 1958 Chevrolet Impala or Bel Air, further down is a 1946-48 Chrysler. Two-tone blue wagon driving down the street appears to be a 1955 or 1956 Ford.
Left side row: '58 Chevy HT, probably an Impala, late 40s MoPar in light blue behind it a 53 or '54 Chevy also light blue and behind that a blue grey '49-'53 Chevy followed by a black Olds of around the same vintage.
Right (near) side row: '56 Buick convertible, 4 portholes so probly a Roadmaster, in front of it a '58 Chevy wagon and a '59 Chevy wagon.
The only other cars I can make out are a '56 Ford wagon in the road and a '57 Ford tu-tone towards the rear on right.
This is probably gonna make me sound like I watch too much tv, but I knew that car, and that town, looked familiar, like I had seen it before. The DeSoto in the background tipped me off, and that's how I remembered it was the Andy Griffith show! That DeSoto was a background car in a few of the first-season episodes.
Is that the Roger Penske AMC Javelin that Mark Donohue raced in the Trans-Am Series in 1970?
ETA: nope. But it does appear to be a Trans-Am Javelin. I'm guessing 1969. I thought the red/white/blue color scheme was unique to Penske, but I was wrong.
I can't pin down the year, but it's an AMC Hornet. Actually I'm gonna take a wild guess and say 1976...only because my uncle had a 76 Jeep pickup and its interior used that same washed-out green.
Well, judging from that tacky interior, I'd say it's some designer package, like a Gucci or Pucci or whatever they called it, but that's still a Hornet! I'd recognize that afterthought a/c ductwork anywhere!
Andre is correct, it's a 1973 Hornet Sportabout with the optional Gucci trim package. These designer packages were all the rage during the 1970s, another good reason to dislike the tacky cars of that decade. :P

ETA: At least some of these had a side ramp, made possible by the lower profile and rear engine layout.

That is the historic Flax Block in Melrose, Mass. Where did you find that picture?
yenko.net, plenty more street scenes there.

I see 12 cars that might be identifiable out of the 20 in the scene.

I was thinking some sort of import. If it was a domestic with column mounted manual shifter, I'd expect a bench seat..
Not that I'm a Hornet afficianado...
