Believe it's 1965 as the large blue hardtop appears to be a 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix and the big wagon inside the building appears to be a Safari. The red car looks to be a 1965 Tempest, the darkblue one a 1964 Tempest, and the light blue car is a 1963 Catalina.

The used cars are easier. The car on the street looks like a 1962 Ford Fairlaine - looks too short to be a full-size Custom 300. The blue truck is a 1961 Studebaker Champ, the greenish gold car on the end is a 1964 Chevrolet, the red car next to it may be a 1963 Ford, the white car is a 1962 Pontiac, the light green car next to it is a 1962 Chevrolet, and next to it is a 1961 Pontiac.

Now THIS is in my comfort zone!
The top pic: In the showroom, 1965 Pontiac Catalina Safari wagon, coming out of service bay a blue '65 Pontiac Grand Prix, a red '65 Pontiac Tempest 4 door, a black '64 Tempest 2 door sedan, a light blue '64 Pontiac Catalina 4 door sedan.
The bottom pic: On the street a blue '61 Ford Galaxie; on the lot left to right-a blue '61 Studebaker pickup, a gold '64 Chevrolet Impala 2-door hardtop, a red '62 Ford (?), a white '62 Pontiac, a green '62 Chevrolet, and a yellow '61 Pontiac The old blue one behind the Stude pickup could be a '57 Chevy 150...

Sorry Lemko, but I think Wgrafer is right, the Ford parked on the street is a '61full-sizer.

Austin-Healey Sprite, probably a Mk 2 or 3. Can't tell if it has side curtains or not.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
    Yep, a 1964 Sprite MkII.

    Late Austin/Morris Marina wagon?

    Late Austin/Morris Marina wagon?

Close it's an early 80s Morris Ital HLS 1.7 Estate, essentially a Marina tarted up by Giugiaro. Ital as in Italdesign, Giugiaro's outfit.

:confuse: I thought it might be a Borgward or Hansa/Lloyd but I couldn't locate anything like it.

Is it related to this 1948 Vauxhall Wyvern?>

It isn't related to any Vauxhall, but you are on the right lines with your other suggestion - not quite there yet, though, as it is a relative of one of that group..

The Vauxhall Wyvern in your picture is the facelifted version from the early fifties - the original grille from 1948 to about 1952 was a heavier three bar affair.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
Is it the British Lloyd 650 ca. late '40s? :confuse: :confuse:

No, the British Lloyd was a tiny thing. You are close with your Borgward/Hansa/Lloyd guess.

It's too big to be a Goliath, isn't it?

Dont you think the new BMWS are kinda ugly especially with thier large grills and weird looking headlights?
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
Actually, I kinda like the big grille and those headlights are fine by me. I think the X1 is a fine looking car. Now the current (E60) 5 Series has misshapen headlights and grilles, it is kinda ugly>

Once again defeated by the margins of this site. Stephen asks if the white coupe is a Goliath, and yes it is.... This one is an 1100, and was made in about 1957/9 - later they sold a slightly updated version of this as the Hansa 1100, apparently. I have never seen one before, and didn't think it was a model they had sold here, but it is RHD - possibly it was sold somewhere like S Africa, or Australia - I think Borgward group cars were sold there. I know sommeone who has a Goliath saloon in a barn - or the did about five years ago - and that was similar to this beast but more like a 50's Hillman from the rear - apparently it had an early type of petrol-injected engine, but I don't know much more about this coupe...

    Alfa GTZ
  • vchengvcheng Member Posts: 1,284
The Anniversary Edition was based off the GL (Grand Luxury trim) with a few extras. And it MUST be the 280ZX since the bigger 380 motor was to debut years and years later after the 300ZX, then 350Z in the erstwhile model to the current 380Z current model, with a hiatus of several years between the 300ZX and the 350Z. :)
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
Sorry that was a typo, it was a 280ZX, they haven't even got to 380 yet (new one's a 370Z)

'71 Dodge Charger SE, made up to look like the '69 "General Lee."
  • lemkolemko Member Posts: 15,261
I also spot a red and white 1957 Dodge in the background. That shot was taken at the Carlisle Mopar show as I recognize the buildings in the background,
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
Hemmings sez that's a '72 Charger SE, the "real" General Lee was a '69 Charger R/T.
