    Left to right (back row)

Light green VW Bus with multiple windows
Can't make out the red hatchback
Another VW Bus - 2 tone white and blue.
    80s Chevy Blazer
Light blue sedan beside it looks like a Mazda 323 from early 80s.
    A Honda Civic wagon (77-81)

    Left to right (front row)
    Blue AMC Pacer
    Silver Nissan Sentra
Silver Dodge Charger/Plymouth Turismo mid 80s

    2016 Audi A7 3.0T S Line, 2021 Subaru WRX

The red hatchback almost reminds me of an Austin Marina/Plymouth Cricket or something as equally malaisey.

I think the light blue sedan is a mid-late 80s Subaru GL or equivalent.

...I think is either a Chevette/T-1000 or maybe a first-gen Scirocco, as different as they are, their rear side window profiles are pretty similar.

De Tomaso Mangusta. Forerunner to the Pantera. Very fast, very scary.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
    Correcto, es una Mangusta!

    I'll guesstimate that it's a '53-54 Olds 88.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
That's what I first thought (My Grandpa had a '52 or '53) but if you look closely, you can see it has the slightly more rounded shape of a 1951 Oldsmobile Super 88.

Apologies for the oversize pic.

....brings back some memories: my uncle bought, as his first car, a '53 Olds 88 sedan, also green (but a different green), in about 1973. I don't think he ever got that thing running right; it sat first in the garage, then in the (fortunately two-cars wide) driveway at my grandparents' house for about the next three years, til someone insisted he get rid of it (which I think was after he married!). Cool looking car, though.

    Definitely not.

But what is it? My guess is an Intermeccanica Italia or some offshoot thereof. Opel Diplomat (nee Chevrolet) mechanicals under a Ferrarish body.
  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481
That description would fit the Intermeccanica "Indra"
  • stephen987stephen987 Member Posts: 1,994
Yeah, you're right--my bad. I'm still thinking this car belongs somewhere in the Intermeccanica orbit though. The earlier Italia/Omega had their roots in the Apollo GT, didn't they?
  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481
Intermeccanica has so many threads to other designers, engines, etc. I don't think I've ever really sorted it all out.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
You're on the right track, Stephen but this particular Intermeccanica was powered by the Ford Cleveland 351 V8, it's a 1971 Intermeccanica Italia

  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481

  • michaellnomichaellno Member Posts: 4,120
    Lotus Elan?
  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481
Yeah you're right, it's a Ginetta. Lotus Elans had hidden headlights. Probably a G15, UK market.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
    Yup, a 1971 Ginetta G15.

    Saab 99 Turbo .. I think a '75.
  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481
Wow, there's really a St. Vito? We need a "Mystery Saints" topic! :P

Wherever that Saab is, it looks COLD!

One thing I'll say about Saabs---as much as they tormented me, they always started in cold weather, and the heaters could make the bottoms of your running shoes sticky!
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,454
    With groovy "Inca" wheels too.

    Close, but it's a Saab 99 EMS/Turbo ca. '74-'76.

Hmmm! Looks like a truck based on a late '40s British Ford Anglia. I'll guess about a 1947 model?
  • magnettemagnette Member Posts: 4,229
    Clan Crusader
  • magnettemagnette Member Posts: 4,229
It is a Ford but I'm a bit vague with models for trucks. I think this is what was known as a Ford Thames E493A, but Ford marketed their trucks as Thames, almost as a seperate make, at least in some markets. I don't think it was just late 40's either - they were still making things like this until about 1956.
  • jlbljlbl Member Posts: 1,333
Wow, there's really a St. Vito?

    :)
Yeah, full name is St. Vitus, St. Wenceslas and St. Adalbert Cathedral. In Prague, (Bohemia, Czech Republic).
    :D
Skodas are build in Mladá Boleslav, which is a town located near Prague.
    :shades:

    Vito (Jose)

You'd see a lot of these at gas stations and the like back then. They were 4WD, relatively economical and reliable, and their size let them be manuevered easily in tight spaces and around stuff, like the gas station parking lot when plowing snow.
  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481
Well okay, in THEORY. Odd duck of a vehicle and not very popular.
