I preferred the Valiant because of its mini 57 Chrysler 300 look grill. I never liked the more horizontal Lancer look as well. I also liked the wagons even though they were a bit unique. The first Valiants were my favorite stylewise, but Valiant and Dart were great machines for many years.
MB C140 (almost certainly a S/CL500 or 500SEC if 92-93) of a wide year span, I will guess around 1996 as I think the trim is the later style. Not possible to tell exact year without factory wheels or interior details. Car apears to be in Florida, which would explain the nauseating wheels.
The long lost IDLSWDY discussion topped out around 40,000 posts I think.
The Subaru Crew Meet the Members discussion is around 31,000 posts. High End Luxury Cars has 25k. Real-World Trade-In Values has 39k. And I think the current leader is Stories from the Sales Frontlines with 51,000 posts. I may have missed one or two biggies.
I haven't a clue. If it's a 1995, it is a C210 badged S420/500/600 (called "S-class coupe" back in the day), other than that, I couldn't tell ya. It doesn't appear to be tuned, and C140s generally didn't fall into tuner hands anyway.
You got it, I was looking for the 'Coupe' name (it's an S500), I always thought 2-door Ss were either CLs or SECs, I had never heard of an S 'Coupe'. MB only did that for a few years in the mid-90s.
Soon to be teapots in a Turkish market. Or the right front fender on your 2012 Hyundai.
Think of it this way, as a form of consolation....old car molecules cannot be destroyed. Somewhere, out there, molecules from a 1928 Studebaker might indeed still be doing their thing in another modern automobile.
Personally, I would thumbs down the bunch except the Pontiac, like a Roman emperor. :P
Work, and the efforts of my reluctant MG Magnette to defeat me, have rather precluded looking at the computer much - still never mind. While you are thinking about the engine - I'm hopeless at those - I will try to find a couple of pictures to post...
Yes - the Triumph TR4 converted into a hatchback coupe along the lines of a Harrington Sunbeam Alpine - Dove were a firm of Triumph dealers in Wimbledon, South London, but it was quite expensive and not many were sold.
Hello Fintail - yes it's the old Riley RMH Pathfinder (known at the time as the Ditchfinder, because they took a while to get the rear suspension right). Later they switched over to the Riley 2.6, which was similar but had the Austin engine as in the Wolseley 6/90, so the old Riley twin cam 2.4 engine was no more.

Well you have all been going strong for 24,825 posts---that's pretty impressive.
Must be close to a record here at Edmunds. (I'm not sure I know how to look that up). :confuse:
Does looking at the license plate count as cheating?
I like it, though. I see a good bit of Aston Martin there.

Profile resembles the E coupe, but the front end looks odd to me, more like the SLK model.
Must be a clone of some sort?

I'm going to say it's a CL500, the big coupe based off the S-class.

You guys are slacking off.
There should be separate categories for awards, like the Oscars.
And note that it's actually "Meet the Members II", so that's our 2nd thread.
