I have probably driven it for close to an hour now total. Between trying to diagnosis an electrical problem on it and sending it over to our VW dealer for them to do service on it I have spent a lot of time on it.
It is really just a VW pheaton with a much nicer interior and two turbos for the W12. All the stuff that breaks on those cars, or any VW really, still breaks on this one the parts just cost 40% more.
Tons of power sure but the seats aren't as comfortable as you would think they considering how much the car costs.
Stephen answered this one at the time, but I believe it is a GTR-4 as I gather there were virtually none based on the later TR4A - something about the location of the mounts on the independent suspension in the latter, and the way they would interfere with the altered rear bodywork, I think.
TR-4As could be had without the IRS, at least in the USA. My '66 4A had the old-fashioned "live axle". Wikipedia sez about 25% of TR-4As were live axle cars.
Wikipedia also indicates that there existed a Dove sales brochure showing a TR-4A based Dove but those I've found online are all '63 GTR-4s.
Now not to 'nitpick', cause that '55 cop-car replica is truly sweet, but as I recall the cop cars were always low trim level Customs rather than Fairlanes (as indicated by the curving side trim on this one). Anyone remember?
I think the maroon thing is a Princess 1800 ca. 1976. From the looks of it this is after they stopped calling them "Austins" etc. The teal thing next to it could be an MG Montego, and beyond that is an Austin A40. To the rear are at least two Citroen 2CVs.
That's right Boomer, it's the once ubiquitous Accord Hatchback. Judging by the cloth covered seats they haven't held up too well which isn't surprising since the seats in Hondas of that era were second-rate.

I will give it a little more time then give up the answer. .
Hmm... what does that leave?
A 2005 Model to be precise.
To be extra precise this 2005 model...
But, man, those wheels are horrible. Befitting a Lincoln or Chrysler.
