I don't know what it is, but little Danny Panoz must have taken a long look at it before introducing his car.

Yep, it's a '64 Shelby 289 Cobra, slightly modified, noting the extra wide wires which look like Borranis rather than the Dunlop wires the little Snakes came with, and of course the roll bar.

You can say that again, the pictured car is a 1988 model. Does the "420" come from it's being on a Jag 420 platform?

Apparently the British royals still have a
small fleet of them and I believe they're still used as a basis for many hearses in the UK.

    '71 for the Goat?

The convertible is a '63ish Falcon.
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,469
Yeah I think the 420 must have something to do with the old Jag. They date from the same period

The black convertible is indeed a 63 Falcon (maybe a Sprint?), I dunno the year of the goat, c.70 or so
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
The Falcon is a '63 but you guys don't know your Goats. It is most definitely a 1970 (I owned a '70 'vert 4sp-400CID-4V).

Fiat 128 hatchback, I don't know if it has a trim level name
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
It was known in the USA as the Fiat 128 Coupe. Perhaps it looks Eastern European to Juice becuse so many Fiat sourced cars were there at one time.

I could be wrong but IIRC the V8 Sprint was not offerred in the first year of Falcon production (1960).

Yeah I think the Sprint debuted in 63, with a 260, later had a 289. Before I got my Galaxie when I was 16, I had my eyes set on a really nice 63 Sprint hardtop - but it vanished one day.

I know what 4111 is....but the name escapes me. Something odd and rare.

    Pegaso Z103 circa 1952/3 - nice car....
  • fiatownerfiatowner Member Posts: 75
They did facelift this model a couple of times although the changes were minor, and mostly related to rear lights, number plate mountings etc... This is still a fairly common sight for funerals, and it was only in production for so long because there were no competitors - only stretched saloons like Volvo.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
The caption says it's a Z102 ca. 1956. I got it from a highline Concours website, they're usually particular about these things. link (scroll down)

    Close enough, it's a '70 Porsche 914-6. I didn't even notice the non-stock wheel.

    RR Silver Dawn, early 50s
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
Oh, you're good, I thought for sure someone would say Silver Wraith.

The Silver Dawn was the first Roller to be developed specifically for export so most were LHD. It was essentially a rebadged Bentley Mk. VI.

  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
Stickguy says 1970, Bumpy says '66. Split the difference and you arrive at the correct answer--
    it's a 1968 Deville Convertible :shades:
