I am getting a lot of push back on the MF. Dealers are telling me the base rate is .0021, and one showed me an official looking sheet from TFS confirming this. Are these guys all full of it or could the base MF actually be .0021? Thanks!

It actually could be..

The Tacoma almost always uses the "standard" MF, and that can fluctuate, though it was .00190, last time we saw it. Also, keep in mind that Toyota has Tier 1 and Tier 1+, so be sure what you are looking at.

Lexus standard MF actually went up from .00190 to .00200, this month, so it could happen. If you get multiple dealers telling you the same thing, then that makes it more likely.

Thanks! I had a dealer tell me yesterday evening the rate went up from .0019 to .0020 this month. This dealer has been straightforward so far so I am inclined to believe them considering the Lexus numbers did the same.......especially since this is less than what other dealers have "sworn" to be the rate.

Thanks for clarifying the residual %. The 1,000 would be $60 short when calculating $650 acquisition and $410 for registration and doc fee.

CAP is the sale price as there are no other incentives. There's no production date yet for the truck so I'm hoping factory incentives appear in the next couple of months. I doubt it considering they're selling very well.

If $1000 is the total due at signing, you have to add the first payment in, as well. That leaves you more than $60 short

There are 19 different cab and trim levels for the Tacoma 4x4 - we need to know which combination you are looking for to quote you the right residual.

The numbers are national in that the cab/trim combo is the same residual regardless of where you lease.
