Followup on: 2017 S6 Prestige for 36/7500

Thanks so much for your quick response Michael.

I'm new at leasing and if you don't mind I have some followup questions:

1. Are the MF & Residual numbers you provided set by AFS?

2. When negotiating a new S6 lease, and i ask for the current AFS MF & Residual, is the dealer obliged to offer or honor theses numbers?

3. If i'm offered a higher number what is my recourse. Walk away?

Your help is much appreciated.

1. yes
2. residual is fixed by AFS; MF can be marked up by the dealer
3. politely tell the dealer you wont sign a deal where the MF is inflated; they know the base rate

Dealer is willing to give me a 6% discount off MSRP. I will try to squeeze him for more.
Is there $1000 loyalty as well?

Trying to decide between a 2017 and 2018 S6 order now. Just negotiated 500 over invoice if I do place an '18 order so it looks like the 18 will be it.

Would it be correct in saying new model years would lease better due to better residual?

Not necessarily. If in higher demand, may have a higher money factor and less discount/incentives from MSRP.

I get $840/mo with those number.

The low residual is what hurts the payment.

Speaking of which, we recommend you roll the taxes and fees into the selling price. The payment will go up, but the up front cash will go down.
