Recently purchased 2017 Honda Civic LX 4dr Sedan CVT Blk for 17200OTD with 0.9% APR. I personally thought I have a good deal. One of my family members is thinking about getting the same deal from the same dealer. do you guys think this is a good idea?

I am wondering what is a fair negotiation as this will be my first lease.
Ideally, I'd like to aim for $500 down with about $150/month on the LX or less than $200/mo on the EX.

The $1999 down is about $56/mo, so that top lease is more like $225/mo

You won't get $150/mo with $500 down

Negotiate the selling price first.

Assuming it's the same $22,015 MSRP, I get $207/mo with those prices.

Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost, and make sure you understand what was added to and subtracted from the selling price to get that number.

Yes, the MSRP of 22,015 is still the same.

The 236 is including all fees and the final total, nothing more.

Is your $207 before tax, interest, and fees or the final total?

My $207 simply uses the prices you've provided. That's why I've asked you to get the adjusted cap cost, with the taxes and fees.

We rent a bunch of Civic's at work and it's a really nice vehicle, their CVT is about the same as the Corolla's, a much better effort than Nissan's CVT. I did notice that the fule level indicator went to a red bar in the 2017's which makes it easier to read. I know I made a mistake in telling a customer about their gas level in a '16 model since the level indicator was the same shade as the level markers and I had trouble reading it. With the '17 model fix, no more issues for me.
Will definitely check one out again when I'm in the market because the improvements over my 2006 model are excellent!!

Side note: do the proc/doc and gov fees differ by locations? Because the doc/proc fees (685) + gov fees (85) seemed very high.

Bonus: wheel lock, mud guard, 3 oil changes, 3 yearly inspections.

Is this this a good over deal to move forward with?

55% is the correct residual for 36/15.

Likely the lease cash is built into their price offer.

I get $185/mo plus tax with those prices.

Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost, with the fees and such added to the sale price.

I'm interested in buying an EX or EX-T sedan here in palm beach, fl. Any pricing help would be appreciated. I'm getting offers from Edmunds between $21k and $22k after $6-800 dealer fee but before taxes. I was hoping to snag a good deal at this point since the 2018's are coming out. The .9% financing was attractive also.

If anyone knows of a good lease deal on those models I'd possibly be open to that as well.

Has anyone bought a 2017 Civic SI? I am having no trouble getting a good price on a Touring coupe at about 90% of MSRP, but two dealers are trying to stick to $100 off MSRP for the SI! I know it is a new trim level but there are 30 of these vehicles in stock in my area.

Have you looked beyond those two dealers? It only takes one - no matter how far away - to meet you on your desired numbers.

A friend of mine had to contact a dealer in Kentucky - we're in Colorado - to strike a deal on the Type R he now drives.

I did hear from two more, and I now am at around 22,500 for the all-season clad SI. I am now trying to leverage that with a couple more dealers. NADA has the lowest price at 21,291 so I am getting pretty close to happy with it.

Guys, The MSRP quoted by dealer is 27400 and he offered a sale price of 25100 for a civic sedan touring. I do not think its a good deal. Can someone help me on what should be the sale price I should be aiming for. Appreciate all your help and thank you in advance.

I got down to 24704 on a ‘17 Civic touring coupe, from Lungren Honda in Auburn MA, if that helps

I just leased a 2017 Civic SI Coupe.
MSRP: 24,775 (includes destination fee)
Selling price: 22,650 (bonus, they threw in wheel locks)
RV: 58%
MF: .0021

The MF was a quarter point higher then these forums have it. They said it was because I wasn’t rolling over from a lease but I believe that was [non-permissible content removed]. I didn’t want to walk over that since I had the base so much lower than TMV or TrueCar’s average, but I will ding them on the Honda survey for it.

I am getting $343 per month including taxes of 9% , MF 0.00060, residual 50%, MSRP $27475 , $595 acquisition fees, $240 document fees. and sale price of $23400. Sale price does not include acquisition fees and doc fess. So basically I will be paying S343 per month for 36 months for 15k miles and 36months.

Can you guys please tell me if this is a fair deal as I am not able to decide to go for it or if there is any room for negotiation. Thank you in advance.

How much is the dealer asking for, when you sign the paperwork? The acquisition and doc fees, plus the first payment?

Ah, OK. That makes sense. All other taxes and fees are rolled into the lease payment.

Like we've said, the math checks out, so it's up to you to decide if you can get a lower selling price.

hi, i'm looking to buy a leftover 2017 civic lx. as it's approaching year end/quarter end/month end, i'm hoping to get a deal.

MSRP is 20,415. i'd like to try to get down to 17k considering the above circumstances and hoping that dealers just want to get rid of what's left.

does this seem too low? any suggestions or other prices to try? i'm in PA if it makes any difference. was going to then try for OTD at $18.25k (tax is 6% here). i'd be ok going to NJ or DE dealers if there are ones there that do higher volume and maybe will sell cheaper. thanks in advance.

Was interesting though because I was quoted that deal over the phone with some guy named Tim and when I arrived at the dealership Tim went missing and the salesman came up to me with "I don't know what you guys discussed on the phone but this is the best we can do" as he proceeded to give me the same terms but $255/mo.

I stood my ground and they caved until I'm with the closer signing the paper work and he says that the sales manager made a mistake and priced the car with a 60% residual when the Si coupe has a 56% RV so he said the payments going to go up to $275 and he tried to compensate with throwing in a few oil changes. I told him that its not my problem and we had agreed on $0 due at signing $245/mo twice already so I left it to him to figure it out. He went and spoke with the salesman to figure it out and came to the conclusion that they did that to throw the bad deal on him(?) and he said that theyre conspiring against him to take his job(?). So yeah that was fun but after all that still got the original deal I was quoted (except for the extra $0.80) and I'm happy with the car.

Everything you were told was just a way to get you to pay more. Seems like a lot of work to do it that way, but it probably works most of the time, or they wouldn't do it.
