If that is the car you want, it looks like a good deal.

I'd be surprised if you can't get the same deal on the next program. (that's not a lock, though).

36/12  payment is $366

this is a loaner vehicle with 2,200 miles. In MN if it matters.

If I adjust the residual to match their number (lower, because of the existing mileage), I get $288/mo, using that CAP cost.

Is that the adjusted CAP cost with everything rolled in, or the sale price? Don't see any mention of the acquisition fee, etc.

I am using the MF .00051, which is the lease rate markup Genesis allows of .0004.

 

Initial Cap Cost: $40,504

Add Cap Cost: $750 Acquisition Fee, Title $35.75, Doc Fee $100

Adjusted Cap Cost: $35378.64

Rebates: $6750

MF: .00051

Residual: 52.20% Mileage adjustment for current miles on vehicle assuming it comes back with 2,300 miles. Residual drops $.20 per mile for miles over 500.

Sales Tax Lease: 7.125% - $738.89

 

Payment $358.56 if you make first payment up front.

 

I did True Zero so payment rolls back in to Cap cost to get $365.92.

 

Even if I ran the MF @ .00011 payment would be $333.27 or $343.23 True Zero signing.

So.. you can see that the money factor bump is adding about $25/mo. to the lease payment.
With his adjusted CAP and the marked up money factor, I'm within a couple of dollars of his payment.

It's still a good payment, relative to MSRP, but if you can get them to drop the money factor to .00011, that would be even better!

Wondering what general consensus is on buying their lease protection plan?  I've never leased before and don't want to run into issues when turning in the vehicle.  Is Genesis/Hyundai easy to work with for end of lease turn in?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd skip the protection plan. Hyundai (and I imagine, Genesis) sends out a lease end kit with pretty good instructions of what to expect, and get charged for.

Of course, I traded in my Hyundai two months before the end of the lease, so I never found out how it worked.
