    Hi Michael / Ky,

Question - I know there is 2025 lease cash available on the 2017 sentra.
I also see 1000 cash and 500 bonus cash - can the 1000 cash / 500 cash also be applied to the lease or one or the other? Or is it only the 2025 lease cash? Thanks! Eric

    $188.83/mo.+tax

How do you have $1350 in fees and the adjusted CAP drops by $1170?
Are you making a big upfront payment?

that may be where im off - rolling all the up front into the lease - isnt that the Acq Fee 595
DMV 311, Doc 449? Plus there is 2525 in lease cash available. this is where i am always confused even using a spreadsheet with formulas and the leaseguide calculator and the leasehackr calculator LOL

That makes more sense.. Add $1355 in fees, then subtract $2525 lease cash for a net reduction of $1170.

    That's a big doc fee.

I hate that doc fee but they wont budge on it.
Also would like to get her in SL around this deal:

2017 Nissan Sentra SL (Gun Metal/Charcoal)
    Stock HY204949
    MSRP 22795
    Residual 57% 12983
    Sale Price 20838
    Lease Cash 2525
    Acquisition Fee 595
    DMV 311
    Doc Fee 449
    Adj Cap Cost 19668
    Money Factor .00003
    36 months/12,000 miles
    Sales Tax 6.875%
    Monthly payment 186.40 + 12.68 tax = 199.08

Thank you as always Michael and Kyfdx!!!

She loved the ride, signed today. Dealer honored 199 month deal with first month down. SL much better option for the current 57% residual.

You don't want to lease any Nissan for that long - the numbers are horrible.

    Better to just buy.

Why would you say that its a bad idea to lease the Sentra for 60 months? Is it because of the car or the fact that its not a good idea financially?

Offer is 2017 Nissan Sentra S base model
    MSRP: 17,990 (sticker price 19,365)
    Residual: 51% - 9,876
Acq Fee: 595 (they said they were waiving it, but it's on here. Is it being subtracted another way?)
    Disposition Fee: 395
    Doc: 199
MF: .00003 (they worked me to a Tier 3 with Lender, instead of Tier 7 that we qualified for)
    36 months. 12k miles

Amount owed for early trade-in on 2015 Rogue S: 4,800ish (turned in at 2 year mark, on a 3yr lease)
    Gross capitalized cost: 23,279
Capialized cost reduction (Lease Rebate): 2,039
    Ajusted capitalized cost: 21,449
    Base monthly: 322/mo taxes: 22.57/mo final payment = 345/month

Picture attached, since I'm not 100% sure if I did it right.

    Look Ok?

@omajoe33 - why are you ending your current lease early? That $4800 is adding over $100/mo to your payment.

    The math is correct.

And, I don't see where the acquisition fee is being waived.

We were upside down on that earlier lease too and the payment was killing us. Having a nearly $500 payment was killing us. We are still upside down, but $345 is more manageable for the next 3 years. Then we'll be free.

Does it seem like we got a decent deal, as far as the car and trade-in goes? We brought them down 30-40/mo.
  • omajoe33omajoe33 Posts: 7
We are also saving about 20-25/mo in gas from the switch. We'll pay more in the long run, but not a huge concern. We will most likely always have newer cars, so we are use to having a monthly payment. We'll ride this car out.

Thanks for all of the help, by the way. Seems like we got a better number on the residual, as well. Was showing 49%, but we got 51%.
