Looking at a 2017 SE 36/12 in 58104 or 55306 (ND or MN). Could you please list available lease cash?

I assume 58% Residual and .0019 MF. So if I can get purchase price to $31000 I can subtract the lease cash to figure out my payment?

    Thanks,

    Smitevo

58% and .00119 (not sure if your number was a typo)

For the SE, I see $750 dealer cash and $1000 bonus lease cash.

Any offer from the dealer may already include the incentives; be aware of that when negotiating.

Hi - new to this and appreciate how everyone shares their information on this site - so first, thank you.

I am interested in the numbers for 2017 Odyssey SE in NJ zip code 08053

    1. I am assuming it is still $750 and $1,000 and 58% and .00119?

    2. Question about the promotions. Does that money come out of the dealer's bottom line or does it come from Honda? I am trying to negotiate the price of the van as low as possible and then add on the two promotions. However, the average price for the SE seems to be $30,850 which is below factory invoice. I would love the best deal possible but at the same time do not want to press for an unrealistic price. Would it be impossible to expect to negotiate that price of $30,850 and still expect to get the $1,000 and $750 promotions for May?

    Thank you

    1. Those numbers and incentives are correct for 36/12 on the Odyssey SE
    2. Incentive money comes from Honda; negotiate your best price before applying the incentives. My guess is that any dealer offer will already include the incentives.

    Hi -
Looking for EXL-RES and Touring MF/Residual/Leasing incentives for 10583? Any sense if these incentives are better or worse than the past few months? In reviewing the board, it looks like March may have been the month to lease - though the lease cash may offset the higher MF. Thank you!

Hi.  I am a relative newbie.  I have my formulas set out and prepped, but did have a few questions.  First, could I ask for the MF and RV for northern NJ (NYC suburb) for a 2017 EX and SE?  I was looking through the threads and the amounts seem to vary a bit from region to region or based on time of year.

36/12k (I believe someone said add 1% to RV for 36/10k if available, is that correct?)

Also, I think sales tax in NJ is now 6.87% so I should multiply the base montly by 1.0687 based on this assumption, right?

Besides the MF and RV, is the adjusted cap cost the only additional information I need from the dealership?

Also, in most cases even with the increase in RV should I always assume that a higher trim will cost more?

    Thank you all in advanced.

    .00119 and 57% (EX) or 58% (SE) for 36/12

$750 dealer cash and $1000 bonus lease cash

NJ taxes the sum of the payments and collects the total up front. You can choose to pay the tax amount when you sign the paperwork (no) or roll that tax amount into the selling price and add it to the monthly payment (yes). However, that will subject the tax amount to interest, so the total payment will be slightly higher than the calculation you reference.

But - if the car is stolen or totaled, you won't have pre-paid the taxes. Unlikely that Gov. Christie will give you a refund.

Thanks, Micheall! Agree with you about pre-paying the tax. I'll have them roll it into the payment. For now, I guess I can assume that the offer might be about $5 off, or if I wanted to be a little more accurate, compute the tax on the side and add it into the adjusted cap cost field.

When I ask for the adjusted cap cost, should I assume that they are going to include all the fees and dealer/bonus cash into the mix or should I just ask for all the components up front for a better?

Also, I was using numbers from Truecar to get a ball park estimate, but do you happen to know if those sites typically include the dealer/bonus cash information or does the logic get a little fuzzy here because it's based on voluntary sales data?

Lastly, do you happen to know when the dealer/bonus rebate expire? 5/31? As I understand, the specials change every month. Just wondering if there might be someone more aggressive for the 2017 models in June with the 2018 models coming out.

PS - I left you (what I think was a message) about how to approach asking for MF/RV for other makes and models too, but I did see after sending it that other people were responding about MF/RV for other makes and models too so I decided to post individual requests to each make/model's threads. Thanks in advance.

    1. Don't assume anything. Have everything broken out so you fully understand all the numbers
    2. Can't help you with pricing from other websites
    3. The Honda programs are valid until 5 July. Doesn't mean Honda won't update the program numbers for June.
    4. Yes, post individual questions in each make / model thread

    Residual and MF request:

    Models - EX-L and EX-L RES
    Miles - 12k and 15k miles

Is there a way to buy down the MF with multiple security deposits like BMW? Thank you in advance!

    .00119 MF and 56%/55% residual for non-res/res for 36/15
    Add 2% for 12K/yr
$900 dealer cash + $1000 bonus lease cash

Honda doesn't have an MSD program (and, BMW doesn't either, as of May 1st)

Yes, it is the bottom line number of the factory window sticker, including destination and any factory installed accessories.

No 10K option available from Honda - 24/12 numbers are as follows:

.00119 and 64% (EX-L without NAV or RES) or 60% (Touring)

$900 dealer cash and $1000 bonus lease cash

National Honda Lease Offer for the SE. $299/month and $2699 due at signing (cap cost 29,454).

    So I was quoted $2500 down/drive-off and $308/month (all tax/fees included).

Decent deal? Btw, I'm in California.

We do not recommend any up front money beyond the first payment and DMV costs. That money would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled. And, it masks the true cost of the lease

    $2699 = $75/mo on a 36 month lease.

    Hi,

I ended up buying the EX-L. The lease numbers just did not look right for my situation. I got the vehicle for a sale price of 30900 + TTL for an OTD price of 33400. Thanks for all the help from the forum members.

Hi - what am I missing here? I am emailing with a dealer about a 36 month/12000 mile lease on a 2017 odessey ex-l (no nav or entertainment). He just provided number to flesh out the discussion.  My proposal has me paying 660$ at signing vs his which is $4000 at signing.

    Hello Cathy,

Based on the True Market Value you suggested with $33,025 your payments would be more. The True Market Value doesn't include the $595 acquisition fee, $300 processing fee and the $149.50 in tag and title and state taxes.

Here is the breakdown of the fees and how they correlate with the payment :

    Your offer :

    Sales Price w/ Destination : $33,025
    Acquisition Fee : $595
    Processing Fee : $300
    Tag and Title : $149.50
    Grant Total : $34,069.50  ( Gross Cap Cost )
    Sales Tax : $1,390.72
    Cap Reduction $4,000
    Net Cap Cost : $31,460.22

    Payment : $333.98 a month

    My offer :

    Sales Price w/ Destination : $31,566.89
    Acquisition Fee : $595
    Processing Fee : $300
    Tag and Title : $149.50
    Grant Total : $32,611.39  ( Gross Cap Cost )
    Sales Tax : $1,330.94
    Cap Reduction $4,000
    Net Cap Cost : $29,942.33

    Payment $290 a month

Hopefully this answers all of your questions. What time can we meet tomorrow?

I'm offering you an amazing deal !!!
