Hi balboa625. The easiest way to asses this deal is to look at this car's selling price. The selling prices of leased vehicles are negotiable, just as if you were paying cash for or financing them. Without this number, it is much more difficult to tell how large a dealer discount you were given Let us know what the selling price is and I'm sure that either myself or another helpful community member will tell you what they think.

Greetings to the very appropriately named m3_lease_help.

Through November 1st, BMW Financial Services' buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 M3 Convertible with 10,000 miles per year are .00160 and 67%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tiers.

BMW is scheduled to introduce its new November program some time tomorrow.

I have always found that dealers are usually more willing to cut more attractive deals on units that they have in inventory than they are on ordered vehicles.

Hi Eugene. The 5-Series doesn't have the option credit program available on it right now. The exact credit that 3-Series models receives varies by trim level.

    MSRP 41450
    Sell Price 39160
    Invoice 38410
    MF:0.00125
    Residual: 64%
    NYS Tax 8.75
    10000 per year x 3 yr lease

    upfront fees taxes etc 2103.38

    How does this look?

they said that their advertising cost of $200 and floor mats for $130, so their actual cost is $38,740

Does anybody know if the holiday credit is included in the advertised lease specials on BMW's website? or is it cash to be used for any additional option like winter package for ex...

I couldn't see anywhere in the disclaimer saying that holiday credit should be applied to get to the advertised monthly figure...

    Anyone? Anyone? :surprise:

Car Man - can you let me know if the redisual or money factor for the M3 convertible has changed for Nov (10k miles)? Also, the $1,500 credit can be used on a M3 convertible lease correct?

Hello Carman ....what is the LMF for a 2011 Bmw 328xi all wheel drive sedan. I was quoted a rate of 0.00175 ....(about 4 percent) shouldnt it be about 3 percent.(0.00125) also....will this model run hang on for another couple years before it is restyled? thanks for any info you may have ...FG
  • jaefjaef Member Posts: 1
Okay, two dealerships in LA area telling me that BMW Finance is applying the same rates across the country, but are quoting me two different ones.

One says money factor of .0014 and residual rate of 61%, the other says it's .0012 and 60%. Who is right?

I'm ready to throw in the towel and get an Audi if they keep this up.
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi evans23. BMW introduced a $1,500 cash incentive on 2011 3-Series lease and finance deals this month. BMW FS' buy rate lease money factor for the 2011 328i is .00125.

Hi izmirian. I believe that the holiday credit is being taken into account in BMW's advertised lease payments. Having said that, like most manufacturers' official advertised payments I suspect that BMW's advertised payments for the 3-Series leave a little meat on the bone so to speak.

Hi honkeydorey. BMW Financial Servies' November buy rare lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 M3 Convertible with 10,000 miles per year are .00130 and 65%, respectively.

The $1,500 holiday credit is indeed available on the M3 Convertible.

Hello fgaz1. As you suspected, it appears as though the dealer is marking up your car's money factor. BMW Financial Services' November buy rate lease money factor for the 2011 328xi Sedan is .00120 for consumers who qualify for its top credit tiers.

Do you have the November residual value and money factor for a 10Kmi/36mo lease on a 2011 335i xdrive sedan? Are these values negotiable with any given dealer, or is a fixed component of the lease as set by BMW FS?
    Thanks

I certainly do, stephab. BMW Financial Services' buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 335i xDrive Sedan with 10,000 miles per year are .00155 and 59%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tiers.

Hi polandia. As you seem to already suspect, the acquisition fee has been marked up $200 and the money factor was marked up by .00020.

As far as this car's selling price goes, there is probably a spread of around $3,100 between its full MSRP and its dealer invoice price. It looks like the selling price that you were quoted is right around dealer invoice.

With such an aggressive selling price, I personally wouldn't mind the mark ups so much.

This looks like a pretty good deal to me.

Is the Nov. MF the same for the 2011 328i Coupe? 00125?

What is the residual value after 36 months, 10 000 miles?

    Thanks!

Anyone know why all the dealers in CA seem to quote an invoice price that is $500 above the invoice on Edmunds or KBB? Are they lying or is there an extra cost in CA I'm not aware of???

Can you give me the BMW Financial Services November money factor and residual for a 328xi 36 month lease with 12000 miles/yr? When the dealer talks about the buy rate, does this refer to the MF rate he is proposing (base rate plus his add on)?

    MSRP-$39,100
    Cap - $37,1898

    M.F. - .00125
    Drive Off - $1,250
    Monthly - $467.50 + tax ($499 in TN)

    Thanks for the input.

Hi! I am looking at this lease:

    Monthly payment 449.56
    license fee 504.00
    ca tire fee 8.75
    cap reduction tax 146.25

    total inception fees 1,108.56
+ rebate as cap reduction 1,500.00
    total drive offs 2,608.56

    credits disbursed as:
cust cash as drive off 1,108.00
    rebate as cap reduction 1,500.00

    msrp ....................39,100

    tatol sale tax............1,584

Do the numbers look good to you? The original lease does not spell out cap reduction tax. Should I pay it?

    iPod/Smartphone

    MSRP: $58,825

Are the taxes in your payment of $675?

If all you have to pay to drive out that 335Conv is $925 total with the monthly payment of $675 , it seems like an incredible deal to me without even knowing the MF and residual and selling price or MSRP. This is just from my research on the 335i models. I am sure Car Man would know better.

    I have been offered a 2011 335xI stick: with 36 months/ 15K miles per year
    1- premium
    2- sport
    3- cold weather
    4- upgraded stereo/ Harmon

    6- sirius
    7- PDC
    8- anti-theft
    9- navigation
    9- Dakota leather

DRIVE OFF: 1st month, MV, Doc, Acquistion, registration fees

    monthly...$699
  • mvs1mvs1 Member Posts: 462
I'm looking at an almost identical vehicle. A 335xi sedan.

Same as yours but with the M sport package and comfort access....what is the PDC?

Drive off is roughly $1000 and the payment is $688 . This includes 6% CT tax. 36 months/15,000 miles allowed annually.

I have a dealer out of state offering the same vehicle for $665 same drive off. The CT dealer as a $499 doc fee (CT dealers need to get real). Other than that it's within a few hundred.

Where are you located? I'm looking for a good dealer in CT or close in NY. I can wait and order the car.
  • drgumsdrgums Member Posts: 51
    I am in NYC
    PDC= park distance control
    dealer is in NJ
where is your dealer located ... out of state ?
also our tax is over 8% ...8.75? I think
that might be the difference in pricing
you must be getting close to invoice as well.
DId you consider buying at .9%?

Hi crisc. The easiest way to tell how good a deal this is is to take a look at this car's selling price. The selling prices of leased vehicles are negotiable, just as if you were paying cash for or financing them. This number enables you to see how large a dealer discount you are being given and in turn if there may be any room left to negotiate. Let us know what it is and I'm sure that either myself or another knowledgeable community member will gladly tell you what they think.

Here's the information that you're looking for, tomba4.

BMW Financial Services' November buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 328xi Sedan with 12,000 miles per year are .00120 and 59%, respectively.

Technically the buy rate is the lowest available money factor on a particular car or truck. Whether or not the dealer is using this term properly is difficult to say.

o_z, BMW FS' November buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2011 328xi Sedan with 15,000 miles per year are .00120 and 63%, respectively.

The numbers for an otherwise identical 36 month lease of this car are .00120 and 57%.

    The numbers for a 24 month, 15k lease of a 335xi Sedan are .00155 and 62%. This car's 36 month numbers are .00155 and 56%.

15,000 miles per year is the highest mileage allowance that BMW FS publishes residual values for. If you need to drive more than this, you will have to purchase additional miles on a per-mile basis. It is less expensive to do so at lease signing than it is to wait until lease-end and have to pay an excess mileage penalty.

Hi billlumberg. The money factor that you were quoted looks good, but I personally would want a larger dealer discount on this car than what you are being given. When one adds the $1,500 cash incentive that BMW is currently providing on this model into this deal, you're only being given a $411 discount off of its MSRP.

The local CT dealer is BMW of Bridgeport, the out of state dealer is Prestige in NJ.

The deal includes the $1500 holiday cash and also the $18xx AWD credit. I think it's $500 over invoice then less the rebates, although there is a $499 doc fee.

Who is your dealer in NY?

Yes, I have considered the financing option, but I'm out of vehicles in three years or less

What is the residual and MF for a 328xi sedan for 36 months & 10K per year?

I'm interested in getting the car equipped as per the special offer - value package, premium package & auto transmission. The advertised price is $459/mo 36 months paying on taxes. I got a quote from one dealer for $450 telling me the advertised deal is based on a very aggressive price with not much room left. What do you think? Has anyone gotten a better deal?

New to the board--very, VERY helpful.

Here's the deal I have been offered:

    2011 328I, M Sport, Auto, Premium Pkg

Dealer says his cost is 51525, and will sell to me at 850 over his cost. When I asked him about the holiday cash, he said he would use that to cover the drive off. We havent been specific about lease or purchase as I wanted to get the price settled first.

First question is whether BMW cost and invoice are the same thing. Second question is what it means to "use the holiday cash" foto cover the drive off. I think that means that I actually end up paying just over 50K, no?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Have held off on talking lease vs. purchase
