    Bryan,

    Which dealer is this pls.?
  • 4ml4ml Member Posts: 10
    MSRP: 42795

Manager has agreed to sell it for 37200 but I've asked him to knock off the 200 and sell it for 37k straight and he said he can probably do that but just needs a permission. So, I think they'll be able to do that.

Once we agree on that - I'll let them know that I plan to lease the car.

So, I'm looking at zero down, .00112mf, 60% residual on 36mo. 12k/year lease

I think Infiniti lets you put down 9 security deposits - so I'll do that. I've to look out for other fees they put on top of that. I'm trying to find out what exactly does GAP insurance do? Do I get that from my insurance company or through the dealership?

Anything else do I need to do remember?

CA DMV provides an $18 movement permit to move your car. So, that works out very well for me. Tax in my county is 7.1%

Please advise me if I need to talk to the manager about anything else or if I'm missing something? And would appreciate it if someone can fill me in with what exactly is GAP when your financing a car for lease. Thanks a lot - this board has been very helpful.

The deal itself seems solid...but are you going to apply any multiple security deposits (MSD's) on this? You could potentially lower your costs by up to $50/month.

    -DB
  • almattialmatti Member Posts: 164
I see those MSDs again? So, if you put $4,050.00 down as Security Deposit, it;s NOT a Cap Cost, youget the money back at the end of the lease? What happens if the car is stolen or totalled God Forbid?, and they probably use it against ALL Wear and Tear when you return it.....$28,707 residual !!. Can anyone tell me more about these MSDs... I'm a NYer - suspicious about some of the tricks. Are you sure that if the Market Value is less than the residual, Infiniti won't charge that loss to your MSD?? They have your Money up front that could be in an alternative investment. Granted there's not very good alternatives in which to put that money other than 1% Bank Accounts or maybe Apple Stock, at least it's not sitting in Infiniti's pocket. I think if I layed out $4,050 in my lease I would have had a $325.00/ mo payment. I'm at $425.00 per month with NO MSDs, No Cash Down.

Thanks for help from all on board and especially car-man.
Here is my deal from memory of car that I picked up Sunday. Sales rep was honest and no nonsense over Internet so I worked with her to make this deal possible here in south florida. I liked her approach very much.

G37 with navigation, premium, splash guards, trunk mat and first aid kit.
    Msrp 39,630
    Selling price 34,300
    Rv 59%
    mf .00107 or 2.59%
    36 months
    12,000 miles
    Fl tax 6.5%
Out of pocket was 1,940 which includes first, bank fee, tags tires etc and dealer fee. No money was used for down payment except infiniti conquest 1,000. I prefer not to roll bank and dealer fees into lease. Infind it cleaner and No reason to pay interest in these fees if can be avoided.

    I used 9 msd's of $400 each for total of $3,600

This dropped my interest rate to 0.41%

Total lease payment per month ( inclusive of tax) is 333.37

Really, really doubtful. First off I'm not sure if a Journey without the premium package even exists. Then you are trying to get the car for $2700 under invoice before the $1000 lease cash or after, either way I doubt that is going to happen. Also this is a new month which means possible new lease factors and lease cash. I can tell you are not in CA by the DMV fees so the doc fee could be much higher then $50. In some states you have to pay sales tax on the lease cash, that would be $70 alone.

Sorry I don't think this a realistic proposal at all.

    Hi Car_man,
Can you please provide lease numbers for 36 month leases of a base and journey sedan please
If you also have the numbers for the base and journey coupe, please provide them too.

    Thanks
  • boost4boost4 Member Posts: 2
    Hi Car_man,

Could you also share IFS' current rates on Base Coupe and Base Sedan?

Also, what does a person's credit have to look like in order to qualify for top tier base rate... Is a FICO of 700 and up enough for this?

    Thanks in advance.

Have you seen money factor and residual for a 36 month 12,000 mile lease on a 2010 G37X sedan? Thanks.

I'm interested in your opinion of this lease deal:

2010 G37 AWD with Premium package, but no navigation.
    36 months/12,000/yr.
Includes all scheduled maintenance up to and including the 30K mile maintenance.

    No down payment.

    Monthly lease payment $340/month.

    I think it's a good deal, but I'm a rookie.
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Member Posts: 1,051
Without knowing the selling price we can't tell you if its a good deal. And by selling price I don't mean the MSRP, I mean the price the dealer is charging you for the car, commonly called cap cost.

Also what does no money down mean, since it can mean three different things?

    1. zero money at drive off
    2. first months payment at drive off
    3. first months payment, bank fee, doc fee and license fees at drive off.

I should have been more clear.

#3 = I mean I'm only paying taxes, title, license, doc fee and acquisition fee and first month's payment at close.

    Cap cost is $33,486.00

    Thanks again.
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Member Posts: 1,051
Invoice is around $36.2k so your price is $2,7k under invoice. I haven't heard if there is a change to the $1000 lease cash from last month. If there hasn't been a change, that means you got the car for $1.7k under invoice which I find incredible.

You sure you got a G37x because your cap cost fits the regular Journey pricing at $200 under invoice.

Positive it's a 2010 G37 AWD with premium package. The lease includes (from the dealer) all scheduled maintenance through 30K miles.

The $1,000 conquest cash is still available and part of the deal.

So you think I got a good deal? This is my first time for a lease

Well, I can't claim to be an ace negotiator. I went by the Costco price, but that dealership was higher on maintenance and shaky on details. The dealership where I took the test drive matched the price and saved me money on the maintenance end.

They were also very forthright on the details.

Now I feel better about the deal.

I recently leased a G37x coupe, MSRP $45,100 however, the wood was installed in the interior at the dealer the day before I leased it, so it was not in the sticker price. I was able to get the price to $40,121 and put down 9 MSDs for $339 a month. Is this a good deal?

    Thanks,
    Joe

Wow...from what I've read and seen that sounds like a terrific deal..did you use security deposits? I am assuming you mean the g37x sedan not coupe right?

also, would you mind sharing which dealership you got the car from or at least which state? I am really looking into the g37x also...but not sure if I will go for the coupe or sedan...(I want the coupe but being a young guy in Northern NJ I have to consider the insurance, handling in snow, room etc...)

...if anyone has any advice on dealerships in this area, i'd really appreciate it...
  • mrshannonmrshannon Member Posts: 9
I'm such a newbie, I'm not sure what you mean about security deposits. To my knowledge, no.

    Yes the AWD sedan.

I'm in VA. I'll ask the salesman if he wants me to post the info.

Hey guys please help me getting started, I am totally noob when it comes to leasing and have no idea of residual value etc.

I am looking forward to lease Infinity G37 (premium/sports package) .

Can some one please run the nos for me,. I am looking for 3 year and I am fine with 10K-15K miles per year. Of course I want as least payment as possible and I am willing to put some security deposit just to reduce my monthly payment.

Can some one please help me?

That money includes a large cap cost reduction so they can show an enticing super low payment that is not realistic. You are not required to put that much money down, nor should you. The most at drive off you want to put down: first months payment, bank fee ($595 for Infiniti), dealer doc fee and licensing fees. When I lease all I put down is the first months payment, and roll the rest of the cost into the lease.

Hi boost4. Please see my previous post for the numbers that you are looking for.

I am not sure what the exact cutoff is for Infiniti Financial Services' top credit tier. I suspect that a score of 700 probably makes you eligible for IFS' best rates, but I can check to find out for certain.

Welcome thaonorm. Since you are new to leasing, you definitely should check out the following informative articles on the subject that are available here at Edmunds.com: 10 Steps to Leasing a New Car and Calculate Your Own Lease Payment.

In short, the easiest way to get a good deal on a leased vehicle is to shop around for the lowest possible selling price and then have the dealer that you decide to go with calculate your vehicle's monthly payment using its buy rate lease money factor.

If you provide us with the MSRP and approximate selling price of the exact car that you're interested in, we can probably work up a sample lease payment on it for you. You can find the pricing data that you need over in the New Vehicle Pricing section of Edmunds.com.

Hello. Thank you for any feedback you can provide me. I live in NY and got quoted tonight on a 2010 G37x, Premium, trim, cargo Net/FA Kit, flaps. 18K miles a year, 0 down (except first months payment), my final payment on my current lease of $565 waved for $506/39 months. Price quoted me was $35,784 ($1000 under invoice). It just seems high to me when I read all the other deals here but the funny thing is I called another dealer and he wanted $529 a month with first month down. Am I just stuck with the higher prices of the NY area or am I getting bad deals? Any thoughts would be very appreciated.

    Thanks...
