Idahoan, I considered the E W for the F-350 PSD I ordered last Nov. and decided against it. Too many complaints from those that have it. The cost quoted to me for Ford's plan was $3,100 which is WAY more than it should be. I decided to put $100 a month into a mutual fund and hope to have $3,600+ at the end of the 36 month warranty. I don't put too many miles on my vehicles, so time will be the determining factor for me. If I am right with my decision, I should be OK with my self insurance plan.
FYI, I ordered my 2000, F-350 PSD CC Auto 4x4 DRW Lyariat on 11-15 and received word it will be at the dealers approx 3-27.
I've had my toy for about 8 weeks. I've found that when you fill up, point the front of the truck downhill if possible. I haven't crawled under mine to check, but I'm fairly sure the filler tube enters at the rear corner of the tank. If the front of the truck is going uphill, there is an air bubble in the tank that can't get out, thus reducing the amount of gas you can put in. As for the gas gauge, what you saw is part of the mechanism that keeps it from bouncing as you drive down the road and is perfectly normal. Shut the truck down and restart and the gauge should go all the way to full immediately. I hope this helps.
Looked at mats at the Leer store at lunch. Question: Does that lip on the door side of the Husky mats cause any problem with feet or do you get used to it? Thats the only problem I see. I don't have really small kids or snow, just a little rain and mud. Thanks for all the feedback.
I know when I top off my tank the "miles to empty"feature of the trip computer.Initially it will read somewherearound the true figure however , after shutting down and later restarting it will read 0 to empty and stay there quite some time. Some literature I got from Ford said not to continue to fill after the pump first shuts off.I try to get around this by slowing the fil rate of the pump after getting to 3/4 or so full.the slower the pump, the more fuel I squeeze in.I've been watching my fuel consumption slowly but steadily decrease from when new(12.9)till now(11.8). I hope it's just the cold weather, but I doubt it .99 F250,4x4,v10,sc,373ls,lariat running on 265 at tires.half city ,half highway.
Thank you both for your insight, I'll have to give it quite a bit of thought.
I know the warranty thing has been flogged to death, but my main concern lies in the cost to repair the PSD and it's reliability with-in the 100k mile mark as my 97 Dodge Ram has been a real problem in the repair dept.
There are several third party warranty companies that don't service us here in Wisconsin, such as Warranty Gold. I just wondered if I should spend the time looking around for a reasonably priced warranty as the factory one is way too much, like you said.
I have given the bed liners and tonneau covers some thought as well. As of now I may keep it simple and do the Line-X thing.
Check ford-diesel, that $3100 sounds *wayyyy* too much for the extended warranty. The place we bought our truck from told us $1700 for Platinum and that is still more than the actual cost (don't remember but f-d had a discussion on actual EW pricing and markup).
Not that I'm advocating the EW but remember in your example above, at the end of 3 years you'll have $3600 but what if at the 2.5 year mark you have a out-of-warranty fix that costs you $5K that would have been covered by the EW. EW is an insurance policy and you're playing the odds; most of the time the EW coverage won't pay for itself but sometimes it does....
rbw69, you must have a good investment counselor. If my calculations are right, to generate $3,600 by investing $100 for 36 months in a mutual fund, you'd have to earn 125.6% annual interest. Scudder Tech beat that last year and is on pace to do again this year, so we can only assume your $100 is in a tech fund.
$80,000+ for a pickup! I'll pass, but I bet it looked nice....
Thanks again for all the helpful advice. The Red Cross has nothing on all of you!
I feel compelled to divulge this embarrassing little revelation I found out last night when I was going over my paperwork because you all deserve to know...I found out what my priority number was on my order....ready?....an 80!!!! I know, I know I have been reading posts where folks have been discussing that number, but either I didn't think I had the paper work that told me or perhaps subconsciously I didn't want to know. Anyway, maybe that would have been a little indication of things to come. Ok, Ok everybody, stop your chuckling...
Went to my dealer today to speak to them in person. I don't know how any person could be a car salesman...they all seem to just sit around a lot of the time. Anyway, the sales manager and two salesmen including mine had a good discussion. I asked if I would be first in line for a 2001(that would be fun..)if I kept my order intact, and the manager didn't know. He has seen it happen, but he couldn't promise. I mentioned my option of ordering from, say, Denver and having the truck drop shipped to Maine. I did get a stone-faced look from them at that point (except my salesman-he is just an easy going fellow). They said that NO dealer is in a position to order a V-10 auto. They again showed me the fax from Ford saying they could order 0% V-10s. (Excursions on that same fax had 100% V-10...I almost ran up and strangled a smug looking Excursion driver I walked by in a mall parking lot today, saying "You have my motor!" as I throttled him, "You have my tranny!" but I refrained.)They said that drop shipping costs about $500, and since no dealer in the US can order a V-10 (their words), I would have to find one on a lot, and shipping that here from Colorado would cost me upwards of $1500. My mind was coming to its own conclusions as they were talking. My salesman kept mum through most of the discussion. He knows I'll figure it out without being told. My brain kept screaming "allotment!" Their fax saying 0% V-10 is a "regional" one. I'd like to know what Denver or Greeley's fax is saying. I e-mailed Denver today, thanks to a lot of help from Bobh12, and am waiting to hear from them. I didn't get my deposit back just now. (Don't start yelling at me yet!) I am a very methodical person. I don't want to burn any bridges just yet, and I am not going to be losing too much interest on $1000 over a few days. I'll literally keep you all posted.
nailbender1-I can give you all sorts of trailer info as I recently bought a new one, but I've used up too much space. I'll get back to you.
sunscreen-Are you wishing right about now that you just hadn't gotten out of bed the other day...?
anybody know how wide an SD is with the standard mirrors? my guess is that the stats in the catalogs aren't including the mirrors. my summer project here is to build a barn/garage. i might have to build it big enough to fit the new truck too...
...For what it is worth, the width of a 250 xlt 4x4 with power trailer towing mirrors is as follows: With mirrors telescoped in....84" wide
With both mirrors telescoped out....90" wide.
...Each mirror manually telescopes out 3"....
...Safe bet, get a 16x7 door and all will be fine. I have a 16x7 door and have about 2-3 inches to spare when pulling into my heated garage with the 265-AT tires.
...mileage update....down a bit with winter months only getting about 8-9 mpg ALL in town, but the V-10 power is worth it!!
NOW for the front end SQUEAK with the 4x4 trucks. I took my beast into the dealership about almost 2-months ago and had the "spring tip isolators" replaced on the front springs. There is a TTB on this number 99-16-3. Basically these look like little plastic spacers placed in between the springs up under the front shackle bolt. Well, two days after having this originally done, the squeak was back. Took back to dealer and was lucky to get the same tech as before. I took HIM for a drive and was able to listen to the sounds. Tech then put truck back on lift and replaced the same isolator tips one more time and heavily coated them with some sort of lubricant. So far so good. The tech said he was also going to send my repair information to his factory tech support person at FORD, because I had the truck in twice for the same problem. Will wait and see if FORD has another fix yet. That is all for now...
My condolances also go out to mainecowgirl, let us have a moment of silence......
Brutus, sorry if I didn't explain my plan. I am putting $100 per month in a fund. I believe it should grow over the period, however if it is only valued at what I contribute, it will be worth $3,600. Some of the EW programs I looked at were offered at less than the Ford plan, but when I reviewed the coverages and exclusions, I decided to go self insured.
The first fly in the ointment showed up yesterday. I'm cruising down (up actually) I-75 somewhere south of East Beejuzus, GA, listening to some fine tunes from the CD player, mentally patting myself on the back for being SUCH an astute consumer of heavy iron, and the d****d CD stopped and wouldn't eject. No problem. I cut it off and on. No tunes. I pull off, cut off The Big Red One and re-boot the entire system (just like Uncle Bill Gates would want me to do.) Tunes!
I go on down the road. Three tunes later, nada. nope. zilch. The boy's getting a little irritated. Reboot. Tunes! Three to be exact.
Enough of that. The next day, I'm riding along grooving on the radio (as crazyelvis might say) and the cussed radio goes "kkkkccccchhhhhh" on all three bands (FM1,FM2, AM). I stop at McDonalds for a break and obviously reboot. Radio Tunes!
Called the dealer today. I was asked in great detail about the problem. Apparently this is NOT an isolated incident, probably a short. Anyone else have this problem with the CD/radio combo?
I swear, the only real "fuzzy" thing I ordered that's not 100% functionally required and I get this. Dealer wanted to pull the radio and send it off. I said, "I don't think so. I paid $30,000+ for a truck, you can get the radio off the lot or somewhere else first." Ideas?
Sorry about the last whining post. I needed to vent a little. :-)
Priced Leer tops today. Nice, fiberglass top, no carpet liner, w/sliding front window and extra large windows about $1250 painted to match and installed. I see them around town and they look very nice.
Now if I could just sell my 94 F150 4x4 for about $10,500.
I know that its frustrating, but it could be worse.. I'd try to be understanding with the dealership and let them handle it their way this time. Keep the relationship good for when you really need them.. Hehe, they could have said they need to keep the whole truck till its fixed..
I thought you had the diesel, so I would have figured you wouldn't want the radio messing the the music comming from the engine.
Being in R&D at IBM, I very much understand the 'bill gates' approach to fixing problems, made me laugh.
hanging up on the husky liners......and ashewitt...gezuenhiet.....naughty ...naughty...someone was filling up the tank with the truck running!!!! If you do that the gauge does not read for the fill-up.....you have to turn the truck off and on to re-set the guage....What a law breaker you are....ooops...I guess the rest of us who know the answer to your question are guilty also.... oturner1.....sorry...never seen the tan ones "in person"....maybe they look better than in the picture.....As President Clinton says...."beauty is in the eye of the beholder"....well something is in the eye of the beholder....
I can send you a tape of my old time favorites....since that seems to be the only part of your radio that you didn't report having any problems......maybe go to the flea circus..aka market....and get an old 8 track player and shove it in the hole.....can't beat old time craftsmanship.......oh ya....quit the da*m whinin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mine is still on vacation without me touring Illinois. CAC told me yesterday, it was suppose to be at the dealer between the 2nd & the 9th of March, well I'll beleive when I see it. It's visiting Eola today, was suppose to be in Naperville, but called and said it was staying in Eola until Saturday, must of picked up on one those filly supercrews in the yard there and wanted to stay a few more days.
Checked in on my errant truck this morning, seems like the supercrew ran off with new flashy mustang. So my crew decided to cut short the trip in Eola, Ill. and arrived in Naperville this morning waiting for transport, this is good, let's hope it doesn't have a wandering eye and gets put on the wrong truck to go with another to another dealer.( I must have the Pre-delivery Blues- here I'm writing a soap-opera on a crew cab)
To change the note....I have had a few extended warranties, like on my last truck I had one to a 1000,000/6 years....I used it for a few minor things...worth roughly $700. The main reason I got it was the vehicle before a 91 Sub I had a rear axle go out....it was decided it came from the factory like that but it was beyond the warranty & i got stuck for right around $3000 for a new one. I argued a long time with GMC.
I doubt if I get one with my SD, I'll make a slush fund also, if I don't use it, I'll maybe use it for a moose hunt somewhere.....mmmm, I have a brother in law in Kodiak, Alaska, maybe I'll go there.......Well have a Good Day All & a Great Weekend.....
lilelmo, check out ford-diesel on the Leer toppers. Based on many of the comments, I'd be looking at other topper companies.
brutus, remember that the PSD 100K warranty covers only the engine and not other truck components such as the tranny.
I'm beginning to think we got a nice offer from the dealer on the Platinum Extended Warranty. $1700 for a 5/100K... (I'd need to recheck the info but that's what I seem to recall). We're still debating the EW merits. Also, the EW we were offered said that we could take the truck to any ASE mechanic, didn't have to be a Ford dealership.
lilelmo- I have a A.R.E. Cap sitting here waiting for my truck to arrive, it's the Z-Series, Color-match, level with roof line, flush windows all around with front slider, coat right around $1200, depending on options you want. They gaurantee for life of original truck you install it on. Btw my truck has been unloaded at the yard, maybe I'll see it yet this weekend. If you go to the A.R.E. website, they have some caps you can see on the trucks before you buy, you put in the make of your truck, then the cap style and it comes up before your eyes.......the wonders of computers....Happy Cap Hunting.......
I ordered my truck from Bill Dubbe Ford in Dover, NH. Had it drop shipped to Reynolds Ford in Norman, OK. Cost was $200 total. Maybe this is a negotiable charge? Dubbe Ford is a small dealership and I don't know what their allocation is. I ordered my truck mid Sept 99 and it was delivered December 24 in fine shape and with all options that I ordered. I can recommend them based on my experience, however my son was the sales manager there about a year ago and that might have influenced how I was treated. Guess now you know why I selected this dealership. Give them a call, sounds like they could be pretty close to you. Good Luck!!!
My Ford duffle bag arrived yesterday. Yours should be there soon, Wildside1, if they are related to delivery dates.
First off, keep up the soap opera. That's funny as can be.
Where's the A.R.E. site? I can search for it if no one has it book marked. I haven't seen these around here, but surely there are some around Hotlanta or Charolotte. Thanks for the tip.
CD player is scheduled to be yanked and replaced next Wednesday. I may just have to have a hole in the dash for a while. Same thing happened to my radio in the 150 when it was new 6 years ago. Yes, I'm being quite nice actually. Don't fire the big guns prematurely.
Rebooting the big red one: When you stop and cut off the engine, most electrical systems except maybe the clock, cut off right then. When you restart, the chips and computers in all the little gizmos like anti-lock brakes, radios, and anything else that got screwed up will generally reset. I think what is happening is actually a heat related short, sort of like a thermostatic reaction. When it gets hot, the short occurs. When the power is off, it cools and closes. Tunes!
I discovered the reboot trick once when my 150 lost its ABS for no apparent reason. I cut off the engine and restarted and never had another problem. This sort of thing is always worth a try if there's a chip involved like with a CE which is nothing more than a laser disc reading player. This approach fixes a multitude of sins with Windows systems.
Went down to Louisville (home of the KY truck plant) on business yesterday. Left Cincinnati about 8am. Let me tell you, I saw more SD's coming up I-71N on carriers than I could count. Name the configuration - I saw it. Just about every color in the book. Granted, they were quick looks since I was headed South, but it is amazing how many SD's are being produced. Have been making the trip for years and have never seen so many of one vehicle in the pipeline. Anyway, just trying to lift the spirits of those of you who are waiting. 99 F250SD XLT CC 4X4 V10 AUTO 3.73LS DEEP WEDGEWOOD ESOF CAMPER/TRAILER ETC... 14,910 WONDERFUL MILES SINCE LAST APRIL (DRIVE MY 88 REGAL WEEKDAYS)
I went with the Snugtop XV. Both times we drove by the local A.R.E. dealer they were closed. Looked at Glasstite and a) didn't like the vibes from the dealer and b) for the price thought that the Snugtop was a better deal. The Glasstite we liked was more than the Snugtop (and by more than $1-2
Snugtop was ordered a few weeks ago so should be in soon (gotta get that Rhino sprayed in before the topper shows up). BTW, Snugtop also matches paint. Dealer told me if the paint didn't match, they'd pull the fuel cap cover and send that in for a match (which I'm not thrilled with so I hope the paint does match).
Electrical shorts and other electrical problems often result from weird circumstances. About 17 years ago, I took a vacation with the folks (roundtrip from Anchorage to DC and back) in a Class A (Winnebago style) motorhome. I shared the driving with my dad. When he was driving, there were no problems. When I would drive, I started blowing the same fuse repeatedly. Of course, that fuse happened to control the headlights and I was the night driver. However, my dad drove with the headlights on during the day also.
At first, the fuse was blowing every couple hours and then the frequency increased. My dad, not being one of the most even temperament at times, knew that it had to be something to do with my inability to drive normal. Several thousand miles into the trip, the problem was discovered. It was the tilt steering wheel. There was a wire in the steering column that got pinched when I adjusted it to the position I liked. I'd like to say my dad apologized and offered to buy me a beer, but I think is comment was something along the line of "what are you driving with that danged wheel in your lap for anyway". He did buy me a beer in Ohio, but they were only 39 cents a mug back then in that part of the country.

Got an opinion quetionaire the other day...for my wife's 98 Windstar...that we bought about a year and a half ago....filled it out....had a couple of complaints with the dealer....didn't quite know as much back then as I do now....I sent it in...got a call today from someone asking about the bad experience with the dealer....Now...I sent the same thing in on my truck in early Nov. 99....haven't heard back anything about that one...plus...NO DUFFLE BAG!!!!!!!! Oh well....I have stopped trying to figure this kind of stuff out.......
I had my SD to the dealer today cause I wanted to know what this engine sound was..
Little history:it is a faint sound during acceleration (something like pulsing air flow etc). At first I thought it was something with the intake or exaust, but after discussing it here and seeing others posts, I convinced myself it was sparkknock or light detonation..
I had my truck in a few days, and the service tech, said he did hear some spark-knock, and re-programmed the chip to retard the timing, which corrected that.. But when I picked up, I could still hear this other sound described above..
Well, today, I took a drive with the service guy, and we discussed it.. He was very professional, and did give some explainations of the sound I was hearing, and we did rule out it was spark knock. Then we took 2 other brand new 5.4L SD's out for a quick drive. The only difference was they were auto vs my 5sp.
They made basically the SAME SOUND.. The big difference is that the automatic tranny + 5.4L tends to shift down fairly quicky when accelerating making the sound harder to hear.. But if you listen for it, its there. (Its hard to hear on my truck when at 3000+ rpms too). however, since I spend most of the time in my truck right at 2000 rpms, it sounds a little more pronounced..
So, I'm an idiot.. (my words). If you look hard enough for something to be wrong, you'll find something whether its real or not..
I did confirm a few things today: a. I love my truck! b. The automatic tranny in the 5.4L really takes the 'snappy' feeling away,, Plus, no wonder folks with the auto tranny are getting 1 or 2 mpg less than me.. I love my 5sp.. c. I have a service dept, (Capital Ford in Raleigh) that listens and they really do want us to be satisfied.. d. My ears are too sensitive!
Oh, the service guy apologized (sp) for losing my cig lighter. While testdriving one of the new trucks, he pulled out the cig lighter, said 'Does this look like yours?' 'yep' 'Put it in your pocket, sorry about that'
BTW: Filled the tank today, (its getting more $$ to do this now). Even after all of the test driving, computer resets etc, mpg calc'd out to be 15.5 on the dot. Loadin up the bike this evening for a weekend of MX racin.. Ya'll have fun.. (yes, even you sunscreen)
well i now have 2,000 miles on my truck and i'm getting around 10-11.5 m.p.g combo of hwy/city driving not bad for the v-10, 1 tankfull i got 6.8 m.p.g but nothing that bad in a while. yesterday in the mail i got a black duffle bag from ford and a letter saying thanks for buying the truck and waiting so long, they underestimated just how big a hit the new super duty would be and that there virtually breaking records every day. it also goes on to say they are building the trucks as quickly as possible. well all of you waiting for your truck's i hope you get your's soon i waited 3 months for mine and its run so far so good. f-250 sd sc lariat v-10 auto 4x4 265 tires fully loaded island blue.
maincowgirl- Saw a V 10, auto, 4.3ls SC xlt with a plow at the dealer today. Can't believe I already forgot the color but not TR. Other options were roof lights, tires, and cd as I recall. Trucks are supplied through upfitter in RI. Is your heart set on what you ordered? On f-d there is a tragic thread started by a guy who's dealer won't sell him his truck even though it's in. Seems they've had a run in or two and the dealer doesn't want to take the chance of being dinged on the satisfaction survey. More to the point, a dealer in Shemokin, PA is referred to who will order for $200 over. Apparently the guy supplies SD's to Fleetwood RV so he has great allotment. Gator Ford country might be nice this time of year, but if you order, by the time your truck comes in PA Dutch country might seem more appealing than fighting your way back up I 95 in summer. Here's the link to the thread, the dealer is referred to about 3/4 down the first page. http://www.ford-diesel.com/ubb/Forum19/HTML/000597.html
I work with a great guy. Good friend, car guy, etc. But he likes to mess with people's minds. He gets into my truck and says, "what's that noise?" I immediately start to hear things I never heard before.
The funny thing is that I realized he's nearly deaf and drives an old Sub****n with 150,000 miles on it. He goes out and gets himself a hearing aid about two weeks ago. Then, he comes in bi**ching about how noisy his truck is. I thought I'd choke on my coffee that morning. He said, "Has it always been that noisy?"
So sometimes, it IS just perception. You're in good and paranoid company.
jeez! gone a week & 150 posts later.... back from 750 mile round trip in FLA. tell you what... this beast checks out! for any of you yanking "fivers" around... get this. but first to reconnect on our config: f350 sb drw psd cc esof 4.1 diff (comes only with manual tranny) lariat. best hills we've got in this state is around Clairmont a little north and west of Orlando. don't have a weigh-in on the fiver yet (but estimate around 11.5k). well, well, pulled those hills in 6th (top) gear under cruise control at 65 mph. well, the tractors can't begin to stay with it, that's for sure. no doubt, this config has a LOT of yank for the buck. we averaged 10.5 mpg rolling near GCWR at 65mph. it really didn't matter much, city or hwy. we could have easily pulled at 70 or even 75 mph but mileage would have suffered. and wow! are fuel prices rising or what??? best we could find was $1.51 for diesel. hey, crazyelvis... 2800 miles on the truck in a month... almost as "bad" as you. we're now posting about 15 mpg unloaded around town so mileage #'s are rising as the engine gets some miles. we've developed no squeeks at all & no other problems to date (the truck was NOT out of alignment as we had thought)... level road gives random drift.
crazyelvis.. just received our survey from Ford... gave them lousy marks for delivery within the comment field.. but could not say enough good things about Gator & Ken. they delivered EXACTLY what was ordered with no BS.
well, in another couple of weeks we get to exchange a lot of oil as yanking a lot of stuff around gives a 3k oil change interval.
Fax # is right. I made it through this morning. I had/have a problem with my home fax so managed to get out via work fax. Thanks in advance again for the assistance. Seeing that priority 34 after waiting 3 months really ticks me off.
I'm drop shipping my truck to CA (ordered from WA state, Titus-Will.) They had me give them several dealers in my area; they contacted them to find out the drop ship fee. One was $ 200, the other was $ 350 so it definitely varies by dealer. My original order was placed on 2/9, DORA date, at Priority 18. Two weeks later it had moved to a 13. I changed the engine to a PSD (sorry lewac, but thanks for your advice anyway) because 1. I test drove one and 2. after posting awhile back my engine quandry, I ran the numbers and came up with a break even of about 45K miles, based on local gas vs. diesel prices. Besides, when pulling the trailer, I'll also hopefully have my 15' fishing boat on the truck along with 6 passengers and all their stuff and trust me, we are talking alot! of stuff. Call it overkill but that's kind of my personality. Changing the order didn't loose my space in line as I got it changed the day before Ford pulled the order for scheduling. Found out today that I'm scheduled for a build date of 3/20 and delivery at the dealer 2 weeks after (as long as it doesn't start touring the country on its' own). Still really pleased with Titus-Will in Tacoma, WA (no, I don't work there). I'm just the type to complement when someone is doing their job as I am to complain if they're not.

I have a cab-high XV on order. Front slider and headliner. Liked the good visibility with the XV and the ones we looked at here seemed to be well constructed. My husband also liked that the handle/latch that opens the back pushes in and is recessed when it's closed.
Sounds like from f-d that A.R.E., Snugtop or Glasstite are good choices (plus other brands that I didn't check out
Thanks for the address. Those ARE nice looking. I have two dealers within 50 miles on both the A.R.E. and the Snugtop. I'll have to do a little road tripping in the "big red one." As Br'er Rabbit said, "Don't throw me into that briar patch!" :-)
This here link may be of some interest to you all I found it crusing thru the Chevy forum. www.wheels.com/reference/assembly/html/index.htm The dealer is expecting my truck sometime this weekend. My fingers are crossed.

FYI, I ordered my 2000, F-350 PSD CC Auto 4x4 DRW Lyariat on 11-15 and received word it will be at the dealers approx 3-27.
Thanks for the info.
$80,000+ for a pickup! I'll pass, but I bet it looked nice....
I'll get back to you.
sunscreen-Are you wishing right about now that you just hadn't gotten out of bed the other day...?

...Safe bet, get a 16x7 door and all will be fine.
My condolances also go out to mainecowgirl, let us have a moment of silence......
dwucher-Pond hunting as we speak.
how many miles.
Priced Leer tops today. Nice, fiberglass top, no carpet liner, w/sliding front window and extra large windows about $1250 painted to match and installed. I see them around town and they look very nice.
Now if I could just sell my 94 F150 4x4 for about $10,500.
I thought you had the diesel, so I would have figured you wouldn't want the radio messing the the music comming from the engine.
Being in R&D at IBM, I very much understand the 'bill gates' approach to fixing problems, made me laugh.
oturner1.....sorry...never seen the tan ones "in person"....maybe they look better than in the picture.....As President Clinton says...."beauty is in the eye of the beholder"....well something is in the eye of the beholder....
I also have the tan Husky liners and love them.
I had a zero deducible and price quoted was $3,175.
I doubt if I get one with my SD, I'll make a slush fund also, if I don't use it, I'll maybe use it for a moose hunt somewhere.....mmmm, I have a brother in law in Kodiak, Alaska, maybe I'll go there.......Well have a Good Day All & a Great Weekend.....
brutus, remember that the PSD 100K warranty covers only the engine and not other truck components such as the tranny.
Ken English is the man....mainecowgirl....worth a try if you are up for buying the truck in Florida.
OK OK....the tan mats are just beautiful!!!
My Ford duffle bag arrived yesterday. Yours should be there soon, Wildside1, if they are related to delivery dates.
My Ford duffle bag arrived yesterday. Yours should be there soon, Wildside1, if they are related to delivery dates.
I did confirm a few things today:
While testdriving one of the new trucks, he pulled out the cig lighter, said
'Does this look like yours?'
'yep'
'Put it in your pocket, sorry about that'
BTW: Filled the tank today, (its getting more $$ to do this now). Even after all of the test driving, computer resets etc, mpg calc'd out to be 15.5 on the dot.
Loadin up the bike this evening for a weekend of MX racin.. Ya'll have fun.. (yes, even you sunscreen)

You're in good and paranoid company.
crazyelvis.. just received our survey from Ford... gave them lousy marks for delivery within the comment field.. but could not say enough good things about Gator & Ken. they delivered EXACTLY what was ordered with no BS.
well, in another couple of weeks we get to exchange a lot of oil as yanking a lot of stuff around gives a 3k oil change interval.

The dealer is expecting my truck sometime this weekend. My fingers are crossed.
