The caveats are known to the people who run the program, both at Volvo Cars and the OSD specialists at each dealer. I would suggest that you call the OSD specialist @ Volvo Cars for further clarification. Also, there is no special program for military personnel for regular dealer delivery. Normal Volvo programs would apply.
Thanks Volvomax. I suppose Churchill was right about alot of things to include car buying when he said, "It is a mystery shrouded in an enigma wrapped in a question"! Can I trouble you for the normal money factors/residuals for a 24/15k and 36/15k lease on a XC90 V8. I'll follow your advice and contact Volvo directly tomorrow. Appreciate the help.
I am interested in the 3.2L XC-90 but the salesman is discouraging me from the Volvo 24 month lease. He says he can get a better deal with the local bank? What is your experience? The MSRP is $39,830 and the cash price is $35,526.
Just completed the lease work on this SUV. Was able to get the purchase price below invoice on a 24 month lease with 12K a year. Several dealers in northern NJ were offering below invoice deals on this car.
Thanks, for your quick reply. My dealer is quoting a $3,000 cap reduction cost and $595 acq fee with the lease. At around $400 per month and assuming these added costs, the lease is really around $550 per month based on 24 months. Does this sound right?
Zachman1...I'm dying here. We have to turn in our current car on Monday and all the quotes I've been getting from the dealers I've been talking to for a very similar car have been above $600. If I don't get a tip from someone like you I'm going to end up overpaying b/c I have to sign a deal with someone.
PLEASE, if you're reading this, tell us which dealership you leased from and how you were able to get such a good price. Was it an unusual color? Was it an '06? Or are you just a great negotiator?
So here is the deal. It on a 5 passenger base Xc-90 (there are so few around)with an MSRP of $39830. Comes with All wheel, climate and metalic paint. I can buy it for cash at $35,526 or lease for $325 per month for 24 months with cap reduction of $3602. Waiting to see it in writing but should confirm this by this evening. Color is Metallic Silver.
Car_man, Hi! New to your forum and find it tremendously beneficial and helpful. I am in the market for a 2007 XC90. Can you tell me if these are good lease deals for the NYC area? option #1) XC90 5 pass Base Truck: Black w/Beige Interior MSRP $36,830; Dealer Price $34,070; 24/10.5K miles; $375 fixed per month; buy rate lease: .00024; residual value: 67%; $2,351.08 upon signing with breakdown: - $375.00 fixed monthly payment; - $803.00 8.375% NYS Tax; - $202.50 MV Fees; - $375.00 Security Deposit; - $595.00 Bank Fee;

Cynthia, having recently shopped dealers in and out of state for a new XC90 lease I can tell you those are GREAT prices. What specific dealer offered the rate for the 7-passenger? And does it include AWD, nav., climate, prem. and conv.?
The dealers that were offering the SUV at below invoice are in East Hanover, NJ, Summit, NJ and Montclair, NJ. I ended up with the one at East Hanover based on color selection in their lot. Obviously, the price quoted to me did not reflect any incentives from Volvo. I was strictly going by the invoice price listed by Edmunds.
The vehicle is a 24 month lease, 12K per year, no cap cost, with AWD, DVD in back, conv., sunroof and 3rd row, 2007 model, metallic paid, xenon lights. Inception fees were sec. deposit, 1st month, DMV, doc. fee and bank fee.
I am interested in leasing a 2007 XC90 3.2 AWD w/ premium pack, nav system, conv package, and climate package. MSRP = $46,594.
What are the current lease incentives for the month of December for a 24 month/15k mile per year term? Also, is the $1000 customer loyalty cash available to use for the curent lease incentives?
R80401, Hi! "So here is the deal. It on a 5 passenger base Xc-90 (there are so few around)with an MSRP of $39830. Comes with All wheel, climate and metalic paint. Did you get this deal in writing? What were the final numbers? e.g., was it $325/mo for 10.5K, 12K, or 15K miles? Where is this dealership located?
Car_man, Hi! "Volvo Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of this truck with 15,000 miles per year are .00071 and 68%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 36 month lease are .00139 and 58%."

Ranger82, Hi! "(The same dealer also said it is impossible to lease with the OSD program)."
According to a OSD specialist you can lease an OSD model. However the only program that can be used with this is Volvo Fin. The bad thing is that this does not result in the lowest payment arrangements. In addition, with most leases, people want to put down as little as possible...and with the $2K-$4K required deposits...most of the time you find that the monthly payment on a conventional finance is less than an OSD lease.
I'd rather have a V8, but can live with a 3.2. I want to get the lowest monthly paymenht. ON average..assuming similar levels of equipment..how much more expensive on a lease will a V8 be vs the 3.2?
the cheapest i have seen a used V8 for sale was a 2005 in my area it had 18,000 miles. no dvd no nav. but most other options. they wanted $38k. on a deal where i put little to nothing down, i'd have a pretty big monthly payment. close to $600 to buy it. i'm guessing I can lease a V8 for less.
if I didn't splurge on options like DVD or NAV..but most other options...how cheap should I expect a dealer to be willing to go on a V8? could you get one for $450/month or less? assume I only put down $2000-2500..enough to cover inception fees.
Cynthia, Thanks for the response. Thanks for clarifying. I am amazed at the amount of misinformation out there regarding OSD in general. I spoke with a dealer this weekend and he said he would attempt to structure an OSD lease using the published Volvo lease rates. So, I am going to put together an offer using rates provided by Volvomax - for a XC90 V8, 24/15k, 72% residual and .00117 money factor. I don't understand the difference in lease rates since Volvo still owns the equity in the car wether I take delivery here or in Europe. I've leased several BMWs on European Delivery and they make it very easy - there is no difference structuring the lease. Once I know the answer, I intend to call Vovlo OSD and will post the outcome here.
NO. you cannot use the subvented VFNA rates w/ an OSD car. Only the "normal" rates can be used. VFNA's current standard lease rate is .00453! BMW doesn't subvent their rates like VFNA does. Since the car is already discounted, plus the free airfare they can't afford to give you the rate as well.
Don't know if it will help at all, but I got my 07 xc90 about 4 months ago. The dealer quoted me a price which he mixed up and couldn't honor when we got there, he thought I was looking at an 06 but I clearly stated in my emails that I was looking for an 07. The guy went to his manager and got a reaming but was able to give me the car for 1,000 out the door and 399 a month. This is for an 07 3.2 with premium package and metallic paint. Please don't email me asking for the salesman's contact info lol.
Mind you my lease is
24 mo 15k/yr mileage (yey!) $399/mo (before tax) 1,000 out the door
I think I got a pretty good deal... reason I posted is, if they're not "losing money" on me, you guys should have some idea of what to shoot for
Can anyone tell me the current rates in NJ for a 10.5k mile/year lease on an XC90: - money factor - residual - approximate bank acquisition fee (I'm being told it is $845 through Volvo finance which seems very high)? - approximate MV fees?
I've been given some great lease and purchase rates from a local dealer but some of the other costs seem out of line a bit.
Steve, Hi! One deal was with bank financing, "Wells Fargo" (12K mileage) and the other "Volvo Fin" (10.5K mileage).
In addition, they did not like when I started talking about calculating the deal(s) with M.F.'s & residual values, so I will be approaching my deal via the Internet Sales Department...or an OSD.
I am working on a deal in Texas and I have the dealerhsip off of the price 2250.00. What is the going payment and stuff on the 3.2 FWD??? I have them down to a price of 39825.00... I just don't know what to be asking for... :confuse: Thanks
Yes,I am now driving the car purchased in Denver at $35,526 cash with AWD, Climate, and Metallic paint. I didn't go with the lease as it was only for $10.5k miles and they wanted to write the lease at invoice not the lower price I got.
#1 The question on this lease is what would a lease be with MSRP at $45,075 for 36 months and 12,000 miles be with all wheel drive in Denver Colorado? #2 Was the option# 2 above and All Wheel Drive XC90?
on a 24 month lease, it looks like the MF is better. on a 36 month lease, the residual value seems to fall less that last year, than the first two years on the 24 month lease..
so has anyone crunched the numbers...and assuming all other factors are held constant... is it cheaper to lease an XC90 for 24 months or 36? in terms of monthly payment??
i'm assuming minimal money down - just inception fees. mileage can be 10,500, 12k, or 15k i don't care. just hold it all the same, and see what's cheaper 24 or 36.
i thought the general idea was to put as little down as possible on a lease. if you drive off the lot and it gets totalled..you runt he risk of losing all that money.
Total initial payment is $4000, that includes $2000 cash down. I thought if I paid something now, I can save it on interest(about $200). But you are right about total the car, I never thought about it.
i went to the local volvo dealer today to check out an XC90.
they had one I liked. Nice white V8 with light leather. it had a few options, but not too much.
MSRP was $50,400. I asked the guy to run numbers on a 24 month lease with $2000 out of pocket. That would be just to cover inception fees. he ends up coming back wih the actual selling price being $50,400..so he acted as if I'd buy it AT MSRP.
the MF was .00117. 24 months. 10,500/year. the monthly payment came out to like $715. I told the guy that was insane...I told him I'd been on "inside line" and seen cheaper deals, and that I'd never seen ANYONE actually pay MSRP on al ease... he said he'd never heard of inside line, said all the numbers were "from volvo..we can't deviate".
he tried to tell me that the deals I'd seen on inside line msut have been from some othe state and the deals would vary greatly state to state and dealer to dealer.
anyway... is this highway robbery or waht? $715/month..and that was BEFORE taxes...
I was expecting that a $50,400 MSRP XC90, with about $2000 total payment to drive off..would net me somewhee in the mid 500s....
I think you're getting a bad story. I've been looking at a XC 90 (3.2) well equippted, MSRP over $48,000, invoice price of over $44,000 and a selling price of around $41,000 - about $7000 off of MSRP.
I used the Edmund site to request multiple quotes in central/northern NJ. One came back at MSRP, 3 significantly less. As I emailed back and forth between the dealers, ended up with the deal quoted above. BTW, lease with about $2000 down to cover inception fees was $450 + tax per month.
the salesguy was a moron. I told him I was leaning toward a V8 b/c the 3.2 would not have enough power. the salesguy told me not to worry because it was turbocharged... I asked him if he was sure the 3.2 had a turbo and he again said yes. I told him I knew it wasn't and he looks at the window sticker and then tells me how he got confused with the 2.4T...whatever...guy dind't even know his product...
I figured a car that had an MSRP around 50k should be at or near $500/month if I put down about $2000 to cover the basic fees.
you get quotes through edmunds. Look at the top of this page you are reading right now and you'll see a link under the topic heading and to the left of the consumer rating that says, "get a quote on a volvo XC90."

Hi yingxiong. Volvo Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2007 XC90 3.2 AWD 7-Passenger with 15,000 miles per year are .00071 and 68%, respectively. Unfortunately, I do not believe that the $1,000 lease loyalty cash that Volvo is currently providing on the 2007 XC90 is compatible with this special lease program.
Hello Cynthia. Volvo Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2007 XC90 3.2 AWD 5-Passenger with 10,500 miles per year are .00064 and 71%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of a 2007 XC90 AWD 7-Passenger are .00071 and 71%, respectively. The acquisition fees and security deposits that you were quoted for these trucks are correct. The selling prices that you were quoted for these trucks look good to me, but you definitely should stop by the following discussion to see how much other community members have paid for similar vehicles lately: "Volvo XC90: Prices Paid & Buying Experience".

I told him I knew it wasn't and he looks at the window sticker and then tells me how he got confused with the 2.4T...whatever...guy dind't even know his product...
I figured a car that had an MSRP around 50k should be at or near $500/month if I put down about $2000 to cover the basic fees.
