Considering 3 years / 30,000 miles Mercedes Benz Star Service Prepaid Maintenance on E300 4Matic for $1,125

1) Can the prepaid maintenance fee be negotiated?

2) What is the prepaid maintenance’s:
(a) Invoice price
(b) Lowest price negotiated
(c) Target price?

3) Is it better pay the entire amount for Prepaid Maintenance up front at lease signing?

(a) Or add the prepaid maintenance fee to the adjusted capitalized cost and capitalize this fee?

(b) If yes, then why?

1. Not sure if the price can be negotiated.
2. No information on pricing
3. If the dealer will allow the Maintenance to be added to the cap cost and residualized, that's our recommendation. That way, you only pay the depreciated cost of whatever price the package is.

A dealer inadvertently mentioned the Mercedes corporate office released factory incentives and additional discounts, like discounts to the money factor, increased residual values and summer event bonus discounts to selling prices to further incentivize the sale of 2017 cars at end of model year but he would not provide any details.

Can you please help me with the details?

Are there additional discounts, factory rebates, dealer incentives going on right now in SoCal for the 2017 E300 4matic (36mo/10k Lease) as the model year ends?

1. I agree with the math.
2. Ask the dealer about the $455
3. Tax, cap reduction, acquisition fee markup, autopay - these are things you'll have to negotiate with the dealer. If you don't get what you want, walk. Lots of MB dealers in SoCal.

Acquisition fee is marked up, but a nice discount from sticker.

I get $455/mo plus tax, with those numbers, so pretty close to the dealer quote.

I'd like to get my payments into the mid 500s with tax in Southern California on a premium 1 E300 RWD. The following is the best deal the dealer is willing to give. In order to get to a $570/month payment with tax, the sale price would have to be reduced to approx. $49500. How likely am I to get 12K off MSRP?

$60,500 MSRP
$51,950 sale price
36 months/12K miles
.00117 MF (thank you Michaell for providing the figures yesterday - it really put me in control of the negotiation)
59% residual
$1219 due at signing
$648 per month with tax

I believe the dealer is including a acquisition fee of over 1K (in a addition to other standard fees like tax, title, registration), but I didn't pay close enough attention.

With 10 MSDs, my payment would go down to $579/month with tax but I'd like to avoid dishing out $7600.

Any thoughts? I'd love to get a deal done by the end of tomorrow.

Get the adjusted CAP cost with all charges included, and an exact amount due at signing.

Once you have the numbers and are confident in the information, then tell the dealer what it will take to get your business. While I doubt you can get that deal, I'm proven wrong every day.
