what is the (taste of lexus) certificate?
i think you got a good deal. what is the warranty cover for?
i got a quote from longo lexus.
I went to their Taste of Lexus event back in October where you can test drive all the Lexus Models. Few weeks later I received an email from Lexus thank me for participating in their event, so they just gave me this $750 off towards a new lexus expect the new LS as a thank you.
The warrenty that they provided only covers up to 4yrs or watever milage. The extended warrenty that i purchase covers up to 7yrs or 75000 (for got the exact milage). Just case the navi, smart start, dashboard lights or other electronical devices goes wrong after the 4th year. These devices its very expensive to repair. Because i probably will keep this car more than 6yrs. Also prices for the parts & repair will probably raise 4yrs later, but of course I hope it nothing will go wrong.

MSRP 39,500, Paid 36,750.
I'm sure I could've gotten a better deal elsewhere(California), but I felt it was a decent deal for Seattle. I can confirm that the dealers here don't bargain much. not enough competition.
In fact, they were showing me the invoice price and tacking on the dealer holdback/rebates as if it were an additional fee I had to pay. When I pointed out that, salesguy told me that the demand in area is such that, etc. etc.
I don't think I'll ever buy again in Seattle. i'll take my chances out of state and ship it.
All IS's are being shipped with HID headlights, 18" Alloy wheels and the Premium package - perforated leather seats with heated and ventilated front seats and interior wood trim.
MSRP is $35,097
Internet Price is $33,297 + tax, lic. & fees
Edmunds invoice on this with the optional equipment is $30,676. How are you guys getting this under invoice? That is a long ways from where I am at.
TIA
I'm also in the Seattle area looking to buy a IS250/350. I'm assuming that you paid $36,750 before tax?
Can you tell me the total price paid w/ tax and all? Also, no nav right? Thanks...looking to break down my budget...
INTERNET PRICE $31,186.00 plus tax and applicable fees
That's a little closer.
Oh and one more thing... these guys seem to live and die by the surveys Lexus will have you fill out after the sale. I'd almost hold that as a bargaining chip "be honest with your numbers and it will help get you top scores".
Went through costco - which basically involves calling the number and getting the name of the costco contact salesperson. Called costco at 11:00 am, was testdriving at 3:30, signed papers at 5:00. I am the type that doesn't like to screw around with haggling for weeks, in other words I am willing to leave a little money on the table but want a decent deal, so it was perfect for me. Also there is only one dealer here so it is not like So Cal where you can pit dealer vs dealer. The salesperson was all business and it was absolutely awesome as far as buying experience.
It came down to the BMW 335i and the IS, it is my wife's car and she liked the IS better anyway - I would get the BMW if they were the same price but the IS wound up being 7.5K less so I was happy with the choice too.
We got the black sapphire pearl with cashmere interior and the preferred package/ 18' wheels / heated seats/ spoiler mats/ wheel locks. MSRP was 39,857 and we paid 37,252 + 499 doc fee + 28 title fee and + sales tax so 40,746 OTD. So it was $2600 off MSRP bofore the doc fee, $2100 after.
What do ya think of the deal? Love the car even at MSRP anyway frankly so feel free to hurt my feelings!
I am interested to see the pricing people are getting in the December to Remember sale, as I got the car at the start of this sale.
Thanks
Can the dealer profit off the residual? Can they arbitrarily pad it in their favor?
Where did you get that quote? I'm interested in the IS250, too. Thanks.
MSPR= 45,177; OTD = 44,000.
I had to pay a couple hundred dollars additional for them to ship the vehicle from other region to this dealer, otherwise, my drive-out price would have been under 44K.
Does everyone think this is a good deal?
MSRP: $37,772
i negotiate down to $32,350 my OTD price is 35,188. i think this is good deal for me. the rate i got is 6.29 for buying that what lexus give me but i lease the car .00235?
what do you guy think of this deal??
Thanks
That is without navigation, right?
I bought it from Stevens Creek Lexus.
Did Stevens Creek Lexus charge you any questionable fees like preparation fee, document fee, delivery charge (on top of the $750) or advertising fee?
If they did, how much were they?
Thanks,
They charged document prep fee $45; that's normal fee, nothing else. I compared their price with Magnussen Lexus in Fremont, and Magnussen Lexus could not beat the price.
Would you mind telling us which salesperson you worked with?
How much haggling did you have to do?
I also stopped by Stevens Creek and Magnussen's. I have to say that I was quite impressed by Magnussen's new dealership.
I did not haggle a lot. Every communication on the OTD pricing was with e-mail before I came down there. It was very easy and no pressure at all.
Could you email me the name of the salesperson? You can find my email address in my profile (I don't want to post it here
I am going to shop around a bit more this week. I am hoping to get a good yearend deal.
