Thanks everyone for your valuable insight into pricing for this vehicle. I purchased the IS 350 with the option list totaling $39,502 on Lexus' website. One thing I noticed from my dealer was the destination charge was $590, not $715. This is in SoCal.

I paid $38K out the door. I guess that comes out to somewhere around $35K as a sales price? Hope you all get good deals.

Was planning to go down to the dealership to test drive an IS350 without the sport suspension just to see if i really want the sport package or not. The internet salesperson told me there are not IS350 with sport package for the pass few months and there are no Luxury package either. If I special order one, he told me that i pretty much have to pay for the MSRP. That will be way over my budget. I saw this IS250 in the lot, so i just told me that is the color i want and how much can he offer me. His offer is very tempting, so i took his offer and i need to give up the IS350 :(

    07 IS250 Glacier Frost Mica /black
    MSRP 31,425
    18" Alloy 720
    HID 875
    Navi 2550

    Rear Spoiler 355
    Delivery Fee 715

    Total MSRP 38,127
Invoice 33,xxx forgot the exact #
    His offer $32,838 (5289 off MSRP)+ TTL
    ext warrenty + 1800 (MSRP 2350)
    $37791.81 OTD
    - 750 from (taste of lexus) certificate

i think you got a good deal. what is the warranty cover for?
  • yogikoypyogikoyp Member Posts: 5
    hey lily,

i got a quote from longo lexus.
  • angus212angus212 Member Posts: 9
    hi yogikoyp

I went to their Taste of Lexus event back in October where you can test drive all the Lexus Models. Few weeks later I received an email from Lexus thank me for participating in their event, so they just gave me this $750 off towards a new lexus expect the new LS as a thank you.

The warrenty that they provided only covers up to 4yrs or watever milage. The extended warrenty that i purchase covers up to 7yrs or 75000 (for got the exact milage). Just case the navi, smart start, dashboard lights or other electronical devices goes wrong after the 4th year. These devices its very expensive to repair. Because i probably will keep this car more than 6yrs. Also prices for the parts & repair will probably raise 4yrs later, but of course I hope it nothing will go wrong. :)

Hey i actually went to the Taste of Lexus event too... but in early November. 750 is pretty sweet just for attending the event. After using the gift certificate I ended up w/ 35,090 OTD.
  • ad2tranad2tran Member Posts: 7
hello all, i went to test drive an 07 IS 250 and i was told all model come with the shark fin no matter if you get and Nav or XM is this true? by the way i got a quote for 34,800 OTD for premium pack., HID light, 18' wheels. How does that sound for December to remember sale event?
  • loucopitsloucopits Member Posts: 103
Be aware (at least on my previous GS300) the extended warranty did NOT cover the roadside assistance. We found this out the hard way when my wife blew a tire in freezing weather. However, when we traded the car with several months remaining on the extended warranty, Lexus refunded a portion of the warranty cost.
  • angus212angus212 Member Posts: 9
hmm..I am not sure about the roadside assistance. I just look at the brochure and the extended warrenty (Platinum Plan) covers:
    -Engine
    -Manual/Auto Transmission
    -Suspension
    -Steering
    -Fuel System
    -Cooling System
    -Air Conditioning/Heating
-Brake (ABS/Traction Control,Pump and Moter, cylinders, etc.)
    -Hybrid Components
    -Electrical
    -Computer and Electronics

But does you insurance company provides you roadside assistance?
  • angus212angus212 Member Posts: 9
congrats~~ yup! the 750 is a killer. after he gave me his offer, i show him this gift cert and he and his manager told me he has never seen it b4. I was surprised!
  • ad2tranad2tran Member Posts: 7
does it cover wear and tear also because the warranty direct told me that dealer's ext warrant does not and his does!!
  • achan618achan618 Member Posts: 9
I have seen people post OTD pricing for the IS 250 w/Navigation and 18" wheels on here between $34,000-$36,000. Does OTD include sales tax and fees already added in?
  • ad2tranad2tran Member Posts: 7
achan618, OTD price means it's already included everything, sometimes they call it "drive out price" and I'd like to know how much are you folks getting quote from local dealers for this December to remember sale? I'm getting 34G OTD for premium, hid, 18, preffer accessories and wheel lock so sound off?
  • loucopitsloucopits Member Posts: 103
I believe we had a Gold warranty. I think it was the best we could buy since the car was approaching the end of the standard Lexus warranty.
  • angus212angus212 Member Posts: 9
that's a really good question. Maybe depends on what kind of wear and tear? Like brakes and tires I am sure they won't. LOL
  • angus212angus212 Member Posts: 9
Just hope we don't have to use the warranty :)

Hello. I wanted to post my deal before I forgot again.
Purchased at end of October from Bellevue Lexus.

07 IS 350. Prem Pack. 18" wheels with summer tires. Black on Tan interior.

    MSRP 39,500, Paid 36,750.

I'm sure I could've gotten a better deal elsewhere(California), but I felt it was a decent deal for Seattle. I can confirm that the dealers here don't bargain much. not enough competition.

In fact, they were showing me the invoice price and tacking on the dealer holdback/rebates as if it were an additional fee I had to pay. When I pointed out that, salesguy told me that the demand in area is such that, etc. etc.

I don't think I'll ever buy again in Seattle. i'll take my chances out of state and ship it.
  • yoosayoosa Member Posts: 6
I'm in Southern California, here's my dealer quote:

All IS's are being shipped with HID headlights, 18" Alloy wheels and the Premium package - perforated leather seats with heated and ventilated front seats and interior wood trim.

    MSRP is $35,097

Internet Price is $33,297 + tax, lic. & fees

Edmunds invoice on this with the optional equipment is $30,676. How are you guys getting this under invoice? That is a long ways from where I am at.

    TIA

    Hi Seataccer,

I'm also in the Seattle area looking to buy a IS250/350. I'm assuming that you paid $36,750 before tax?
Can you tell me the total price paid w/ tax and all? Also, no nav right? Thanks...looking to break down my budget...
  • yoosayoosa Member Posts: 6
Ok, now the dealer has come back with

INTERNET PRICE $31,186.00 plus tax and applicable fees

    That's a little closer.
  • timp1timp1 Member Posts: 2
Same price I've seen. I got another $300 off. If you're leasing you can get .00245 if your credit is good. The dealer worked the numbers somewhere on me at the last minute. Got roughly the drive-off I expected and the monthly I expected, but cap cost of $747 showed up even though I thought I was putting 0 down. I wasn't required to pay a security deposit which suprised me. They made up for it in other ways though. When presented with a lump sum drive-off, insist they itemize what's in it in writing.

Oh and one more thing... these guys seem to live and die by the surveys Lexus will have you fill out after the sale. I'd almost hold that as a bargaining chip "be honest with your numbers and it will help get you top scores".
  • seataccerseataccer Member Posts: 2
Yes. the 36,750 was before Tax, Title, License. I think my total price was 39,000 or so. close to MSRP. hope that helps.
  • gerstchgerstch Member Posts: 9
Hi ya'all - this site has helped me in the past (lurker) so thought I'd post my experience today at the dealership in Vegas in case it is helpful.
Went through costco - which basically involves calling the number and getting the name of the costco contact salesperson. Called costco at 11:00 am, was testdriving at 3:30, signed papers at 5:00. I am the type that doesn't like to screw around with haggling for weeks, in other words I am willing to leave a little money on the table but want a decent deal, so it was perfect for me. Also there is only one dealer here so it is not like So Cal where you can pit dealer vs dealer. The salesperson was all business and it was absolutely awesome as far as buying experience.

It came down to the BMW 335i and the IS, it is my wife's car and she liked the IS better anyway - I would get the BMW if they were the same price but the IS wound up being 7.5K less so I was happy with the choice too.

We got the black sapphire pearl with cashmere interior and the preferred package/ 18' wheels / heated seats/ spoiler mats/ wheel locks. MSRP was 39,857 and we paid 37,252 + 499 doc fee + 28 title fee and + sales tax so 40,746 OTD. So it was $2600 off MSRP bofore the doc fee, $2100 after.

What do ya think of the deal? Love the car even at MSRP anyway frankly so feel free to hurt my feelings!
  • achan618achan618 Member Posts: 9
I got the IS 250 on Dec 1, and am in Southern California. I have not had a chance to double check other dealerships, but would like to help those who are still looking. Someone wrote that all IS's are being shipped with HID headlights, 18" Alloy wheels and the Premium package - perforated leather seats with heated and ventilated front seats and interior wood trim. This is true at least in the car I got. Make sure you compare this with the Luxary package in your research for pricing. There are a couple things missing which you might want such as the 3-memory adjustable driver seat, power sunshade on rear window, and mirrors with driver side memory. Anyways, I got the above Premium package along with the navigation system.

I am interested to see the pricing people are getting in the December to Remember sale, as I got the car at the start of this sale.
  • yoosayoosa Member Posts: 6
I haven't purchased yet, the best price so far is 31,186. Would you mind letting me know what you paid, and also, which dealership?

    Thanks
  • yoosayoosa Member Posts: 6
The MSRP is $35,222 and our Internet selling price is $30436.00 plus tax, license, a $8.75 California tire fee, and a $45 documentation fee.
  • timp1timp1 Member Posts: 2
At the dealership I was presented first with a worksheet, all it showed was an array of drive-off costs and monthly payments. Nothing else. Pick one he said. No mention of what was in the drive-off. BE SURE TO GET DRIVE OFF ITEMIZED I WRITING. What I thought was in it was a security deposit $450, first month payment $~430, and acquisition $600 ($1480) The actual figure was $1560 or so. Close enough I thought. So I agreed. They stuck $747 cap cost in there and put the acqusition fee into the lease. Didn't charge a security deposit at all. No big deal... you just know you could have done better. Tell us how it turns out.

Can the dealer profit off the residual? Can they arbitrarily pad it in their favor?
  • jram721jram721 Member Posts: 9
    Hi yoosa,

Where did you get that quote? I'm interested in the IS250, too. Thanks.
  • achan618achan618 Member Posts: 9
Yoosa, the quote you got is in the same range as what I got it for. I have the navigation in my car so my price was higher. But without the navigation I was about $100 higher than your quote. Licensing fee was $275 (not sure if that is high), but you can add that to your costs. Each dealership pretty much has the same internet price. (Cerritos, Glendale, Westminster) I know for sure the South Bay dealership gave me a higher price, so I didn't go there. If you want to save on tax I would say go to the Orange County dealership. I'm thinking the week between Christmas and New Years might be a good time to buy if they still have the cars, as they probably have to meet year end goals. Downside is if they already met the goals, they might say there is no room to negotiate. Good Luck!

    Mine is IS 350 Pearl/cashmere, LT+VN+LR+Z1.
    MSPR= 45,177; OTD = 44,000.

I had to pay a couple hundred dollars additional for them to ship the vehicle from other region to this dealer, otherwise, my drive-out price would have been under 44K.

Does everyone think this is a good deal?
  • ihammerihammer Member Posts: 75
I am also in the Bay Area (CA) and would really appreciate knowing the names of the Lexus dealers you are referring to who offered to sell any IS250 on their lots for invoice. Thanks!!
  • yogikoypyogikoyp Member Posts: 5
here is my deal that i got from socal:

    MSRP: $37,772

i negotiate down to $32,350 my OTD price is 35,188. i think this is good deal for me. the rate i got is 6.29 for buying that what lexus give me but i lease the car .00235?

what do you guy think of this deal??
  • yoosayoosa Member Posts: 6
Sorry about taking a while to post here. The dealer is Mission Viejo and they did give the best price to by about $500.

I have a quote from JM Lexus in South Florida. They are quoting me $35599 plus TTL for IS250 AWD with navigation. Does anyone have AWD? Can someone speak to the disadvantages of not having AWD besides decrease in gas mileage? I have owned several Audis with AWD in the past. I also owned a BMW X5 4.4. I have heard that the combination of RWD with VSC and stability control is just as a formidable combination vs AWD. Please let me know your thoughts. I live in the Mid South where it rarely snows, but freezing rain and ice happen about once or twice each winter. Once every few years, we get an itch to head to Chicago for at least one winter holiday.

I got a final quote on an IS 250 RWD with Navigation, Premium package, summer tires/18 inch rims, High intensity head lamps for $32,500+tax and fees. Is that a good price to buy it before??? help me out...im so distraught!
  • ad2tranad2tran Member Posts: 7
hey try to get an Out of the door price with all of those option you want since they can always stick a charge that you don't know about. By the way, anyone looking for a Lexus in DFW go to Park Place at Grapevipe look for the internet team. They're awesome and willing to deal. I just got mine w/premium, hid, 18'wheel, preffer accessories pack. for 34,000 even OTD. It is December to remember alright!
  • bktxbktx Member Posts: 1
Hi, I'm in DFW as well...did the $34K OTD include navigation? Also what was the MSRP on yours?
    Thanks
  • ad2tranad2tran Member Posts: 7
no Nav just Premium, hid, 18in with lock and prefer accessories. Msrp before tax is 35,222. I wasn't interested in their Nav since it cost around 2,500 extra and I could get a Garmin Nuvi 660 for less than half so...
  • decondecon Member Posts: 56
Do dealers give a better price if you financed it through them or paid for the IS 250 in cash at once?
  • fredifredi Member Posts: 6
I live in Bay Area. I just bought 2007 IS 250 with Premium Package, 18 in alloy, HID, Rear Spoiler for $33,599.28 OTD.
  • jay_kimjay_kim Member Posts: 1
hi fredi, i'm also in bay area. that's good price... where did you buy it?
  • stormablestormable Member Posts: 2
    Fredi,
    That is without navigation, right?
  • fredifredi Member Posts: 6
    Yes, No Nav.
  • fredifredi Member Posts: 6
    Hi Jay,
I bought it from Stevens Creek Lexus.
  • mail_junkymail_junky Member Posts: 6
    Hey Fredi,

Did Stevens Creek Lexus charge you any questionable fees like preparation fee, document fee, delivery charge (on top of the $750) or advertising fee?

If they did, how much were they?

    Thanks,
  • fredifredi Member Posts: 6
    Hi mail junky,
They charged document prep fee $45; that's normal fee, nothing else. I compared their price with Magnussen Lexus in Fremont, and Magnussen Lexus could not beat the price.
  • mail_junkymail_junky Member Posts: 6
Thanks Fredi for the info. I think $45 is a reasonable fee.

Would you mind telling us which salesperson you worked with?

How much haggling did you have to do?

I also stopped by Stevens Creek and Magnussen's. I have to say that I was quite impressed by Magnussen's new dealership.
  • fredifredi Member Posts: 6
I don't think we are allowed to tell the name of the person over here, but if you have any other way to communicate, I will tell you the name of the person.
I did not haggle a lot. Every communication on the OTD pricing was with e-mail before I came down there. It was very easy and no pressure at all.
  • mail_junkymail_junky Member Posts: 6
Fredi, I see. I didn't know this forum rule.

Could you email me the name of the salesperson? You can find my email address in my profile (I don't want to post it here  )

I am going to shop around a bit more this week. I am hoping to get a good yearend deal.
