That is correct; TFS is the only major captive bank to not automatically include GAP.

I don't know what a good price for it would be, however.

Last year, I had a Toyota dealer begging me to add GAP on a Tacoma. In the end, he came down to $225. Said it was basically his cost, and he didn't want me to walk out without the coverage. Nice guy.
I didn't take it, because it was a US Bank lease, and they include GAP. (he didn't know that)

They will likely start out in the $600-$700 range, asking price.

Hi Michael/KY,
im a long timer here but I had to re register. 
My friend just told me he leased a 2018 camry se in Arizona . He never negotiated and just agreed to the deal . The msrp was 30.5k, the cap cost ended up being 39xxx. High credit score. Dealer said I’m going to hook you up with free alarm. This sounds like it’s at least 6k over sticker with hugely marked up MF.
36 mo, 12k. 580 a month with 3500 due at signing. Terrible all around. I told him to back out but he had already picked up the car. Dealer won’t return his calls. Does Arizona have any like 3 day return policy?? Thanks!

good grief, i hope they gave him some KY with that screwjob! it's sad that some dealers still do this to good people; i guess that a high credit score does not equate to ... [not gonna say it]

[580 * 35] + 3500 = 23800 and then he has to give it back in 3 years.

Once the contract has been signed and the car is taken off the dealers lot, there isn't much that can be done.

FWIW, Toyota dealers are not allowed to mark up the supported MF, so it looks like every aftermarket item in the book was added to the car.

Think of it as an expensive lesson. In three years, have him check us out first before shopping.
