Does anyone have any info regarding the release date of the Enclave in Canada. Also looking at US web site for Buick I noticed that it was stated that the CXL comes with 15 spoke rims. Does anyone know what they will look like. They sound ugly to me which would be a shame because the car concept car has such beautiful rims on it.
Here's a 10.4" flip down monitor w/built in DVD player for $269.95. It also has built in IR transmitter so you can use wireless headphones too. No need to find a place to install the DVD player with this one!
Kelly Blue Book has Enclave pricing up today. AWD CXL with every option (backup camera in Entertainment Pkg #4), with red paint MSRP $45,935 Invoice $42,058 Second row console not available yet
I priced a comparably equipped (as best I could) Outlook on KBB and compared it to the Enclave as I would order it. The Enclave was just under $41K, about the same price as the Acadia. Maybe a few hundred $$ more. The comparable Outlook stickers for $38,619 according to KBB. If Saturn is truly a one price, MSRP experience, the out the door prices of the vehicles should be nearly the same.
Have no idea which 6 disk changer comes in these cars but in the wifes 07 STS it has a 6 disk cd/dvd changer in which you can put either or both in there plus it reads MP3's too. I have 2 disks with over 600 songs on it. Just think of 6 disks with 300 mp3's on each disk or at 25 songs about on a normal cd you're talking over 72 cd's plus on hers that is the only way of getting the 5.1 surround sound and 15 speakers.
How do these in headrest DVD minitors work? I mean, do you plug them in, or have em intalled? Are they fitted to the headrest holes of your car? Do they make for Acadia? Are they interchangeable? (3 kids, 2 back rows-you do the math!) This is interesting. Better deal to get 2 rows than to factory/ dealer installed. Side note: You guys do know that the in roof player (most of em) don't block vision of mirror.
Aw crap. I hate spending money on wheels since I typically am not that particular. But I hate the standard CXL wheel. I would have to spring for the optional wheel. I even like the CX wheels better than the standard CXL wheel.
On a somewhat related note - TireRack does not show any tires in the CXL tire size. Do manufacturers typically start making sizes once the need arises, say due to a new vehicle? Or is the OEM tire likely to be the only choice down the road?
the aftermarket tires will come quickly once a size is out there on a new vehicle. Issue is that while 19"ers are getting more usage they are not available in all sizes.
Thanks for the info. I went to the sight you posted and noticed that in regards to the colours that only the white pearl coat seems to have the matching colour mouldings. I was hoping that all the CXL's will be monochromatic. I think that having them the dual colour really detracts from the luxerious look of the vehicle. Add to this the rather "old style" 15 spoke rims on the standard CXL model in conjunction with the two tone exterior and I find the Enclave that I have been drooling over for the last year seems to look rather frumpy. Anyone agree?
Where have you seen the wheels on the vehicle? I would like to take a look. I have only seen it with the 7 spoke so I could not make a intelligent decision on how they look.
I haven't actually seen them on the vehicle just the previous post #1644. I am just assuming that they will not be a style that I would like to have. I am sure that some will like them but I feel that they look like a rim my grandpa had on his old oldsmobile and I thought that was the image that Buick was trying to steer away from.
Also, how are the exteriors not monochromatic? The only photos I can find is the cocoa mettalic and it looks monochromatic other than chrome/black around the windows. Where would the 2nd color be?
Check out post #1644 above from Beach15 and click on the site he/she listed at the end of it. Once there select the option "ordering info" and then "colours" If you click on the individual colours a picture will pop up.
No...I'm dead serious. The sticker price was just over $34K and it had everything in it except for the tow package. I never believe what I get when I do pricing on-line. Just like when I paid for my '06 Azera, everybody was saying they were going for $28K and I walked out the door with mine for just over $26K.

I went through this with my MDX. It can be very difficult to find replacement tires for up to a couple of years when manufacturers adopt an unusual size. That's a real problem if you blow a tire. The lambdas use a "donut" temporary spare. And, I understand that GM says you should not store a full-size tire underneath in the spare tire space, so you can't just replace the temporary spare with a full-size spare.
You are right about the tires eventually becoming available. We went through that on our '02 Envoy with 17" rims and then our '05 Magnum with 18" rims. The replacement tires do come out but it takes about 1.5 to 2 years for there to be a decent seletion of alternative brands.
Very good, but I'm probably an exception because of friendship with the dealership owner and the fact that this is the 11th vehicle I've purchased from them. In talking with them, interest in the Acadia is very high, and they feel pricing will be in their favor for awhile. I'm using the extra $1000 from the GM Card for $2000 total off, so I'm getting in well below invoice.
The dealer, by the way, is chomping at the bit to get some inventory. The two they got are high-end and low-end (MSRP $33,100 and $44,900), and they believe most sales will be in the high 30s MSRP. I ordered the SLT-1 with AWD and a few options and I recall MSRP was about 38K, so if I'm at all typical, they're probably right.

Any idea what the reasoning is behind this? I replaced a donut with a full-size underneath my minivan and occasionally cram a full-size spare in the donut hole in the back of my wagon.
I just realized something. In the color chart choices IF there was a secondary color on the exterior it should be listed. Like red upper with gray lower. There is no indication of this so I would bet the pictures are just showing a shadowed lower. But I could be wrong!
You may be right about the shadowing, I hope you are, but it doesn't look that way in the pictures. I really don't like it . I was thinking of getting a red one but when I saw the picture I was quite disappointed with the way it looked.
They really should list the secondary color on the chart. It would be a mistake if there really is one. I am pretty sure it will be monotone because to have the lower color they would have to have cladding and I really doubt they would spend the money on that. And the show car would have had it too because it is actually a production intent vehicle from prototype tools.

According to the owner's manual, "storing the full-size flat tire in the underbody hoist system can expose it to heat from the exhaust system. This can damage the tire and underbody hoist system. Do not store the full-size flat tire in the underbody hoist system." By the way, the spare tire is stored in some kind of plastic heat shield.
I don't know why heat would be more of a problem with the Acadia (and other lambdas) than with other vehicles. I know the Tahoes/Yukons comes with a full size spare. My MDX came with a temporary "donut" spare, but I replaced it with a full size spare with no problem.
The link posted above in message 1664 is very helpful. If you click on distribution updates, it says the the DK1 rear console is deleted. Does anyone know what this means? The rear center console with the captains chairs is something I want.
The 33,100 was actually 33,019. It was an SLE with AWD, remote start, parking assist, cargo package, power seats, trailering package, XM satellite, and 2nd row bench credit. The 44,900 was an SLT-2 that was loaded. The "low-end / high-end" was relative. If you don't need, or want, the space and are dollar conscious at this level then you probably won't buy one.
I mentioned earlier that if there was a secondary color it would have been called out in the order guide. Here is an example of how it is called out for Rendezvous. Sorry it does not copy well here.

Thanks a bunch. If this is the case I will definitely go with the red Enclave when the time comes. I finally was able to sit in the Acadia and I loved the space inside. I currently drive an FJ cruiser and compared to it the Acadia felt very very roomy. With 4 kids and friends to cart around this is definitely (lambda)the right vehicle for me. Not to big and not to small. I felt like Goldilocks in it! Does anyone have feedback on how any of these lambdas handle on snow.

Or perhaps a full size will not fit the Acadia?
Actually where does it say this?
That sounds like a pretty high "low-end" to me.

This statement though could be just this vehicle model dependent. Depends on the orientation of the exhaust.

This was from the Acadia manual.
