I have been in and out of the Lexus dealership here in Annapolis, MD twice now.
The current offer that stands on the table is: IS250 w/ AWD, HID, AFB M MSRP: $36,815 Negotiated: $33,616 OTD (including tax/tags/title) Down Payment: $4,500 Lease terms: 39mnt/15k APR: 4.9%
Find the lease / buy calculator here on Edmunds.com and plug your numbers in. If this is a lease offer you can find the money factor by dividing 4.9% by 2400 which equals .00204. Which does not seem all that great. Not sure what Lexus is offering right now for a money factor. Down payment seems a bit excessive but I don't know what is included in that amount.
Shop that number around a couple of other dealers and I bet you can do better. You pretty much need to "walk" out a couple times and have them chase you down. You might even make it home or the next day before you get a call back. It's a buyers market right know so your are in the drivers. Just keep saying It's too much. Don't let them make it cheaper by extending the time frame or increasing the down. If they wear you down, leave and go back another time. Do Not sign anything just to get it over with. I doubt they will employ any of these tactics as it is a Lexus dealer and they tend to not "hard sale" their customers. It is a tight maket though and they must sell cars.
I should have added some details. Drive off was $824 (1st month + license).
Tustin Lexus. That was pretty much their first Email offer as I was only able to get a little more off in person. I wanted the car too bad as it was the only white on black with navi and prem around. So, I didn't try the walk away tactic where they pull you back in. I was afraid they would let me walk. They orginally wanted $1200 down and $425 + tax. I settled for $824 down and $430 + tax.
Still not bad... Thats pretty much exactly what I am looking for but I dont think ill need the Nav so that might lower my payment a bit. My only worry is my lease on my current lease doesnt run out for another 2 months. You guys think its a safe bet to wait and hope the deal doesnt expire?
I have created a spreadsheet to determine the payment on a leased when I have the MSRP, Cap Cost, Residual % and Money Factor. I now want to create a spreadsheet that gives me the residual % and money factor based off a Lexus lease special since I don't want to put down their required $3500 due at lease signing for a $349 payment. The lease details:
MSRP: $35696 Residual: $19989 Term: 36 Payment: $349 Due at lease signing: $3449
The spreadsheet I did came up with a 56% residual which should be correct and a .000254 money factor which just does not sound right. Can anyone help me out here?

Hi all, I have leased a 2006 IS 250 with the following details Miles/yr == 12k Down payment == $4500 Monthly Payment = $407 (included tyre protection) Residual Amount = $22,000
I now have 21 K miles on the car and have maintained it in the best condition with all servicing done at the Pohanka Lexus Dealership in Chantilly, VA. I have a few questions abt the car now.
1) I do not wish to spend $250 for this 20K miles servicing? is it a big deal if i do it from a non-dealer and what precautions should i take ? 2) Does anyone know of a good place in this(NoVA) area to do this servicing? 3) what would be a few things/catch that i should look for when returning the car to the dealer after the terms of the lease ends? 4) how do i bargain if i want to keep the car?
MSRP: $36,885 Out the Door Price: $32,675 Downpayment: $4600 Financing total: $28075 Term: 39months APR: 4.9% Monthly payment of $342.87
My credit union offers special rates and the Lexus dealer was a preferred dealership with set costs on the vehicles. My salesperson was more than willing to bargain and gave me an additional set amount off.
Just a couple questions. Is it possible to get the I250 RWD with the HID option. Looking to get my monthly payments down to around $400 with about $2000 down. Live in SoCal area. Is this going to be possible or not. My credit is very good. Thanks for the help.
To get an IS250 with HID's in SoCal you have to get the $3,205 Premium package with the 18" wheels/tires. If you were to get the car at the invoice of around $32,000, and if you were able to apply $500 of the $2000 to the car you are looking at about $400 payment before taxes according to the latest lease rates from Lexus.

Having a mess of a time w/ Lexus dealers in Louisiana. First of all, they jack up the price in the south by adding 18" wheels and HID lights to all cars which ends up being 1500 more (i.e. they wont sell you a base model).
And, on leases, the best I've been able to do is to discount the car from 36050 to 33500 which amounts to 503 w/ taxes of 9% and nothing down. Any advice or thoughts? Seems like everyone else in this forum, especially you southern california people, get incredible deals. I e-mailed a few Houston dealers which seem way more competitive and I may end up going there for the deal b/c there are a bunch of dealers competing w/ each other only 4 1/2 hours away.
Here's the car I was looking at:
IS 250 RWD Auto Black exterior (obsidian) w/ tan interior Premium Package w/ Auburn bird's-eye maple interior trim Perforated leather-trimmed interior Heated and ventilated front seats Ipod interface Floor mats
How did you get them to agree on that deal? I am going to lease a is250 sometime in the next 2 weeks, who should i talk to where should i go? any suggestions? am in Los Angeles
I got this email back from the lexus dealer on my first inquiry... Do you think they will come down much more on this payment and how much?
For the IS250 in automatic with navigation, 48 mth lease, 12,000miles; the monthly lease payment is $439 plus tax. This IS250 comes with: *18" Alloy Wheels with Summer Tires *High Intensity Headlamps with Adaptive Front Lighting System *Voice Activated DVD Navigation System w/Rear Camera, and Bluetooth *Premium Package (Includes Heated and Ventilated Front Seats, Wood Interior Trim, and Perforated Leather Seat Upgrade) *Preferred Accessory Package
I just told them point black, my cousin got this exact car in San Fransisco for those #'s for the exact same car the one with navigation 18" alloy wheels 08. Ofcourse they tried to feed me bull, like that deal is only valid in that location. It was a special that's over with, or it must of been last years model... They even called manager over to try to trick me by telling me that they will be losing money if they leased a car that cheap. But I threatened to leave and go to another Lexus dealership. And they slowly budged, starting a little higher then my original request, then finally giving in. I give them credit for trying :P
Looking for the following information for a IS350 lease with Luxury Package (LL) and 12k miles, 36 months
Money factor = Residual value = Approximately how much over invoice I should expect =
After a bit of renegotiation here is where I am with the dealer. Money factor = .00255 (I think this is still WAY to high) Residual value = 55% (this is with 10K miles, I think I should get 55% with 12k miles) Price = MSRP = $40,399 My Price = $37,315 Monthly cost = $601.43, with NC tax payment would be 619.47. I think I can do much better.
I'm also looking for May rates. Interested in a 2008 IS250 RWD w/Luxury package for 36 months/15k miles. I'm in Austin,TX so would also like to know if the sales tax rebate is still available. Thanks!
Hello Car Man. You've always been a big help in my past lease negotiations. Can you provide LFS buy rate and residual for the IS250 based on 36 months/12,000 miles? Any incentives for current Lexus leasees? The lease on my rx330 is up at the end of May, and I plan to pop over to a dealership on Memorial Day weekend in hopes of some sort of deal.
Would the LFS numbers be the same if I went with the RX350 based on the same specs above?
For the IS250 in automatic with navigation, 48 mth lease, 12,000miles; the monthly lease payment is $439 plus tax. so i just got done with my dealer, and these are the numbers im getting: IS 250 AWD, navigation and xenons MSRP: $38,594 Gross Cap: $36,739 including acquisition fee Net cap Cost with 3000 down: $33,739 Residual percent 56% 36 month term, 12k miles Money factor of 0.00185 Monthly lease price $440 plus taxes

IS 250 AWD with nav, xenons, luxury, and premium package MSRP: 41,229 Gross Cap 38,439 Net cap cost 35,439 Residual 56% 36 mo/ 12k miles Money factor of .00165 Monthly payment of same $440 / month
They want to move the car on their lot, so they would give me a better MF to help move the car. is there any way they could go lower? seems like they should move a little more. Invoice on the first car is around 34,000 and they got to 36,100 before the acquisition fee
I'm looking to lease a bare bones, base model IS250 W/ Manual Transmission. I don't want Nav. or any luxury pack. Can this lease be had in the NYC area for under $400/mo.? Does any one have this model (IS250 RWD Manual Trans.)
hi can you please email me at walida@gmail.com with the dealership info? this is one of the best 2 deals i've seen on here, the other was the one you replied to! Thanks.
Hey chicago99. According to the latest information that I have seen, Lexus Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2008 Lexus IS 250 AWD with 15,000 miles per year are .00135 and 60%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 36 month lease are .00135 and 54%.

Hi ajv123. The money factor that you were quoted is way too high. Lexus Financial Services' current buy rate for a 36 month lease of a 2008 IS 350 is .00185 for consumers who qualify for its Tier 1+ credit tier. The 55%, 10,000 mile residual value is correct. The 12k residual is only 54%.
Hi flight13. I'm glad that I have been able to help you out, shap1. This factor is enhanced slightly in Lexus' Western region.
The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of a 2008 RX 350 are .00105 and 53%.
It's possible that Lexus will introduce some sort of enhancement for Memorial Day, but I haven't heard about any yet.

Hey there can you please email me the lexus of newport dealer's name at walida@gmail.com. was this on the mf special of .00020? I heard this is going to soon be one of the biggest lexus dealer's in the country. can't wait to go! hope to hear from you soon!
Price is at least $2000 to high. Shoot for invoice or a bit under depending on money from the factory. Check the new car TMV here for invoice and TMV. Money factor is to high. This is based on credit rating and may be acceptable. Term is to long. No more than 36-39mos. Residual is set by the bank/Lexus.
Thanks for getting back to me. I have top tier credit so thats not an issue. Got them to knock down the money factor from .0023 Any suggestions to negotiate an even better MF and to knock down the price $2000?
I'm located in Sothern California. I'm a first time leaser and yesterday I was offered a 08 Lexus IS250 lease that seems like a fair deal. I was kinda wondering what people think. My fico is 663 tier 2 financing i guess.
Smoky Granite with Nav. 48 month lease 12k 3000 down
I am in S. Florida, talking with several dealers here. On an IS 350, w/ luxury plus package, nav system, on a 48 month lease, told that residual value is 45% (which seems low to me) -- I was quoted $565 /mo (includes tax) with $1500 down, 12k. I think I can do better. Anyone have input? I appreciate the help.
I have also been quoted $579 per month -- sign and drive -- doesn't include tax 36 mos.
No one is going to tell you if it is a good deal until they see what the deal is. Never lease a car based on payment. You need to know the purchase price, residual and money factor to see if you are getting a good deal.
Most will tell you that is a bad idea to lease 48 months. I think a lot of that comes from don't lease longer then the car's warranty, with most cars at 3 years. Since the Lexus has a 4 year warranty I don't think it is that bad. My IS250 is a 4 year lease I thought at that time that was the best deal I could get, they were selling at sticker when I leased it. My G35 is at 39 months since that was the best dealer Infiniti was offering. One thing to think about, most Lexus leases have a sweet spot at 36-39 months. If the dealer is offering a 48 month lease there is a good chance it is not from Lexus. My 48 month IS250 lease is US Bank. I wish I knew what I did now back then because I am sure I could have gotten a much better deal. Almost always the manufacturer is going to have better lease terms.
