Yesterday I went to/too/two/tutu, the store to/too/two/tutu get some/sum beer before the game. There/their selection was not very good so I had to/two/too/tutu get a different brand then normal. That was OK because my three favorite kinds of beer are Corona, cold, or free, and this one/won meant one/won of those requirements.
The only one that has a shot is Indyand we'll see what happens this week :shades:
I just thought you & a few of the others might want to go over there and have a read. A lot of the hosts post there, but it's been pretty dead recently.
We get into really crucial issues, such as whether there should be a space between an ellipsis and the word which follows or preceedes it. Arcane doesn't begin to describe it, but some of us are that way inclined. "Pinhead" is in the name for a reason.
ItsIt's the Grammar Police! Run for your lifes! I mean lives! As someone who holds an English degree, I absolutely hate apostrophe abuse. In some cases, I've walked around town and grocery stores using a marker to remove additional apostrophes whenever possible. I've even contacted the editor of the New York Times to complain about an article using an apostrophe to indicate plural instead of possessive. I also get annoyed when folks use an apostrophe for possessive "its," when they don't realize that the apostrophe makes that into "it's = it is."
Oh yeah, I also dislike "whom" abuse. They should do a better job of teaching folks when to use whom and when to us who.
Ok, sorry...rant over.

Does anyone know if they take out O2 sensors in Denver beacuse the air so thin?
Get your head out of the...this is a car site. Are you trying to say you wouldn’t buy a used car from any of the others?

That's because the turbo compresses the incoming air, and can adjust for the density..
Some engineer could probably explain that..

Some where on the web is a nice graph showing the relation of altitude to power loss with a turbo and NA motor.
At high altitude, the air pressure is lower & the turbo runs faster, which compresses the inlet charge more than it would at sea level, which is a good thing, because there's less of it to compress. It doesn't provide 100% of the power available at sea level standard (59 deg, 760mm of Hg, yada, yada) day, but it comes reasonably close & definitely is superior to a naturally-aspirated engine on those 11-12K foot mountain passes in CO.
OTOH, while you can get away with 85 octane gas in a NA engine that would require 91 at sea level, you've got to actually burn premium in a turbo.
How does that make you feel grammar police.
That post was very easy for you to write; you were just writing naturally.

I do, but after reading your essay, you’d never understand. :P

Don't worry about your football player. My wife had one here at OSU in basic (remedial) composition. His paper kept making reference to the "offense of" this particular position. Turns out he didn't know that his own position was "offensive" lineman.
I do have to go to the Honda dealer tonight to drop of the van for service. Might have to wander into the showroom, if I can convince the wife to go take a test sit in a new Accord. No drives of course.
Hey, that's as close to a sales story as this thread has come in quite a while!

Unless there's a sea change, the AFC (read: Patriots) shall win the Super Bowl. As for the Pats running the table, possible but I wouldn't be surprised (or concerned) should they drop a game or two. Just not sure (other than Indy) who can beat 'em. I think they can only beat themselves...

You had me confused with that word (mourning). Since you wrote your post at 12:14 AM, I couldn’t understand why you were telling us what part of the day it was where you live, because nobody brought up that subject. It seemed like such a matter of fact thingy since most people, wherever they live, sleep during the wee hours of the morning and nobody gives it a second thought. Then I realized you pulled a homonym on me.

I'm going to put this into car talk perspective.
It sounds like someone bought a new car from 'joel' (he's pretty close to the culprit), who then drove over to jipsters, got 'jips' Kirby then did what you said. :shades:

There is also a big difference between a turo charged car and a supercharged car.
All cars lose power at altitude. But yes, above 4000 feet you can used lower octane fuel.
Thats funny
I can only assume that you guys don't do anything to them out there.
Nothing that anyone out there that works at a dealer will admit to.

That is also true at higher elevation which is where cars drive, i.e. on the ground. Airplanes fly at altitude.

Aren't you a Nissan guy? If so, is premium required in the Maxima? I think I recall that premium is recommended.
Does this mean premium is recommended in order to get the absolute max engine output, HP, or whatever??? ...or does this mean that it is recommended to keep your engine damage free and to obtain the max engine life, etc. There's a big difference in the potential outcome, IMO, depending on how one interprets "recommended." What's the "Nissan" inside view on this?
The Maxima may be on my list of candidates in a few years, but not if I have to run premium fuel in it....I would gravitate towards an Avalon or something.
One hopes the rest of the post made at least some sense.
According to the 10/22 "Automotive News", Consumer Reports has branded the new Tundra with "below average" in projected reliability. It also received a 4 star crash rating, one less than its Detroit rivals.
Sorry, Mack.
Indeed! But lift isn't usually a consideration with respect to cars.

Your right it is recommended. first of all it is rested with premium because premium gas gives better results. Gas milage and horse power. After talking to the techs about this in service a couple of times before they all say the same thing which is your gas milage might go down a milage or two. But for the engine itself they say as long as you change your gas filter and change your oil you will be fine.
also talked to the techs about the denver issue to anyone thats been paying attention. They said that the cars computers will be able to adjust for the higher altitude with the air intake. They said older cars would have to sometimes have their carburators adjusted. I had to walk away from the master t6ech because they will talk for hours about stuff I won't understand. As a matter of fact he was still talking when I was walking away.
If you are waiting....
The 2010 Maxima is supposed to have a optional desiel engine.
the 4wd v8 tundra to be exact. FYI---consumer reports also said beta max was better than VHS and we all saw how that worked out.
