But however, the Volvo dealers that I spoke to said that they do have tax credits, but according to Volvo they are not applicable for lease of XC40, but could be used for other Volvo vehicles. Is this true that Volvo has such a policy ?

any xc40 build order i place now will be 4-6 months out... any way to predict how much prices. MF and residuals will change by then? I don't want to sign up for $580 payment on a lease then discover it's $625 when the car arrives....any suggested strategies to address, aside from getting a different car. Nobody in Oregon honors any kind of discount on this car...

We don't have that information.

But, it seems entirely reasonable. Volvo controls how they want to use the tax credits. If they have a popular vehicle that doesn't need incentives, it isn't unusual that they wouldn't offer tax credits on it.

Hi all, would you please give the 24/12k and 36/12k numbers for R-Design and Inscription fully loaded for zip code 07632. MSRPs 48,520 for the Inscription and 47,420 for the R-Design. Was thinking 24 months because having a baby by then and will want to upgrade to XC60 or 90 potentially then.

Also, any thoughts on MSD or a single-pay lease? Thanks a lot!

I, too, have heard good things about the XC40. Dealers cannot keep them on the lot. Eventually, the hype will pass and it's possible the deals will get better.

What's the source of the money factor and residual values posted here? Is it from Volvo financial? The few dealers I've talked with have balked at the .00157 MF, saying the .00207 is what is offered for someone with tier 1 credit. I assume it is just a negotiating tactic though.

Our numbers come from Volvo Financial.

Dealers are taking advantage of the popularity of the XC40 and marking up the MF to make some extra profit.

Tell them you won't sign a deal without the base MF.

Be prepared to shop a lot of dealers, or switch brands.

You can pay the taxes up front, or you can add them to the cap cost - we recommend the latter and make them part of the payment.
