Better, but still not exactly what we need.

Notice how the section with all the prices says "purchase information"? Not all of those numbers apply to a lease, and some lease specific information (the acquisition fee, for one) is missing.

Ask the dealer for the lease deal sheet with everything broken out, then we can comment.

A quick Google Search of "Lieu Tax Arizona" brought up a number of results. Feel free to research as needed.

Looks like some sort of alternative tax for automobiles.

In some cases it isn’t harmful to roll negative equity into the next lease as long as you also get to keep the previous car. If a person doesn’t want to have double car payments then rolling additional money into what is essentially a no interest lease won’t cost him anything extra over what has already been committed to. Remember he will still get to keep his Nissan and put miles on that while Infiniti makes his final payments.

Also one advantage could be that if the car gets totaled right away all of that negative equity magically disappears thanks to gap insurance as long as the car was totaled accidently.

I prefer to keep things simple.

I get that. I just wanted to distinguish between someone who turns a leased vehicle back in to the dealer early AND rolls the remaining lease payments into their next vehicle. No one should ever do that but a lot of people do. In that case you are still paying for those remaining payments but you don't get to use the car at all. Plus the fact that they are usually paying interest on their already accrued interest/tax.

There are times when rolling the payments into the next lease may be beneficial as long as you get to keep the 1st car for its full term.

I did this when switching from one brand to another. The original car had a really high 65% residual on a 36 month lease so it was about $7000 under the residual at the end of the lease. However, I wanted to switch back to Infiniti so I was going to have to pay the lease turn in fee no matter what. Infiniti also gave me a credit greater than the turn in fee because I had a competitive vehicle.

The bottom line is that you should never turn in a vehicle early AND have them roll the payments into another lease. The better option in that case is to just keep the car and perhaps have them roll the payments into the next lease if it has effectively no interest or tax.
