Audi Q7 Lease Questions

    I just ordered my Q7 last week. You won't be negotiating your deal when you place your order. All my dealer required was a $500 deposit (fully refundable).

    You'll negotiate your deal when the car arrives and at the rates and residuals avilable at that time. Mine is set to arrive mid october.

    By the way, the Q7's standard equipment and options were re-suffled for 2008. So, based on what you describe above, you might end up with a few things you don't want and a higher MSRP. You can check-out the changes here

    Leased a Phantom Black/Limestone Gray 3.6 Premium for 36 months/12k yesterday, here are the details:

    Third Row seat
    20' inch wheels
    Panorama Sunroof
    4 way climate

    MSRP $51710
    Cap cost $44245 (got the $4000 below invoice deal)
    Residual %52(with audi care)
    MF .00084 (can't combine .00014 with the $4000 discount, but still a pretty good rate)

    Drive off:
    $595 Bank fee
    $590 Audi care
    $581 First month
    $45 Doc fee
    $360 Registration
    Tire fee I think was $8
    Total drive off $2179

    $581 a month (including 7.25 tax)

    Any comments are welcome!

    That seems like a great deal that you got. Can you tell me how you were able to get the $4000 below invoice? Is this state specific? can you tell me what dealership/state this was in?

    I don't think this is state specific, what I should have mentioned in the post is that this for model year 07. I guess since 08's are coming, dealers are trying to clear their lots. This was in San Jose, CA, Stevens Creek Audi. Their internet sales person is the best. Very professional and willing to work with you.

  • Thanks for the info arm_jan. I spoke with a dealership here in NJ and they are able to offer the 4000 discount but not able to give the same MF. The salesman told me that the only other bank they use is Chase and they aren't offering such a low money factor. Do you buy any chance know if your dealership used Chase? Thanks so much for all your help.

    They used Audi Financial, the dealer told me that since the car has been on the lot for too long Audi authorized to use a lower rate, I wasn't sure if this is really the case.

    HI ,

    Looking to lease a 2008 Q7 3.6 Premium dealer invoice of $54,546.- Dealer told me they sell the car for $500.-- over Dealer invoice. What are the residual and money factor used for a 2008 by Audi finance. Looking for 15.000 miles 36 month lease sign and drive. Only tax title first month.

    You can't use Audi Financial if you take the dealer cash, so that must have been a different bank.

    I am suppose to pick my 2008 Q7 this week. Here are the numbers my dealer is giving me for my lease:
    Cap cost- $59,500
    36 month lease
    12000 miles a year
    money factor -- .00140
    Residual -- 51%
    $912 PLUS TAX
    I really need your help with this as I am new at leasing . Really feel the 51% residual is low for a brand new 2008 .
    Please let me know if I am getting ripped off or how I could bargain .

    hi, need your advise on the following "offer";

    2007 Q7 3.6 Premium, S-Line, panorama sunroof, tech, convenience
    MSRP : 56465
    Selling price: 53577

    36 mos/ 12 K
    MF offered: .00129
    residual: 49%

    the payment that they gave me was 892 with 2K down.
    why is it that I cant get the amazing deals down here in dallas on these cars?
    should I go to Houston?

    please do help, i'm looking to buy this week.

    IMHO, i think you're getting hosed/ripped off etc etc.

    that residual looks way too low for an 08. i can get that residual for an 07.

    and without tax too? no way.

    what was the MSRP for that car? need to know that, in order to calculate depreciation.

    oh, and as before, if ANYONE knows of any good deals in the Houston/Austin/Dallas area......pretty please tell.!

    My sales price was $59,500 which was $2000 off MSRP . I ordered my Q7 12 weeks ago . I am not putting any money down on my lease . Going to pick it up on thursday .I am pretty sure the residuals are lower with Premium V8's than than with the V6's . Riverside Audi in New Jersey gave me $2,000 of MSRP...they ship all over the country . They keep an up to date inventory online . Should mention Khanza that they have 2008 black and red Q7's in stock .

    2007 3.6 premium Q7 with convenience pkg, 20" wheels, panorama sunroof, 6 luxury seating, 4zone climate control, infotainment pkg.

    Invoice $53416
    MSRP $56910
    Residual 52% 12K miles w/Audi Care
    Money Factor .00059
    Payments 36 @769.35
    Drive off $769.35 1st Payment
    $ 51.15 Tax
    $ 420.75 DMV
    $ 1210.00 Acq fee/Audi Care
    $ 2451.25 - TOTAL

    What do you guys think? Should I go for it? Thanks.

    Last month's special rate was .00014 for 07 models, shouldn't have changed that much. Also Acq+Audi Care should be 1185.

    That deal seems pretty, compared to what I got for nearly the identical car (add premium RED paint, and mine is a 7 seater). I put down $2000, and my payment is $704 over the same lease term. Since the 2008's are coming out so soon, I would push to see if there are any better deals at other dealers. I have seen that several regional dealers all have some 2007 stock left, and Audi was giving back $4000 to clear out the base 4.2 Q7's. I am not sure if Audi is doing similar discounts on the 3.6L models. Does any one else on this board know if Audi is offering additional discounts on the Q7 3.6L models?
  • Correct me if I am wrong, don't you have to pay 6.25% on leased vehicle in Texas? Appr. $3350? Perhaps that amount is included into your monthly payment?

    Thanks rctoon. The selling price that you were quoted for the Q7 that you are interested in looks outstanding. You never mentioned whether this is a 2007 or a 2008 model, but I assume that we're talking about an '07. If so, make sure that the dealer you are working with uses Audi Financial Services' current 36 month buy rate lease money factor of .00014 to calculate your monthly payment and you're in business.

    Hey rctoon. It is definitely not in your best interest to make a $5,000 down payment on your lease. I always advise consumers against making large capitalized cost reductions when leasing. Those who make them risk losing part or all of them if their vehicle is totaled in an accident or stolen and never recovered. Even through your monthly payment will be a little higher, you will be better off going with a zero down lease.

    You're welcome, prion. Audi Financial Services will waive its security deposit requirement on leases in exchange for a .00015 money factor increase. I believe that it will waive its $575 acquisition fee in exchange for a .00050 increase. If you are paying both of these items at lease signing and the dealers that you are working with are still trying to charge you a money factor that is higher than .00014 on this vehicle then chances are they are trying to mark your vehicle's money factor up to add hidden back-end profit to your deal. If you are in an area that has a decent level of competition you should be able to find a dealer that is willing to lease you this vehicle using AFS' buy rate if you make it clear that you know what it should be.

Audi Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of an '08 Q7 3.6 Premium with 15,000 miles per year are .00075 and 50%, respectively for consumers who pay a security deposit at lease signing.

    You never mentioned exactly which Q7 you are interested in leasing, but the money factor that you posted is right in line with Audi Financial Services' current buy rate for a 36 month lease of an '08 Q7 4.2. If this is the model that you are getting then this factor is good.

    I would be happy to share my thoughts with on the selling price that you were quoted, but in order for me to do so I need you to provide me with either this model's MSRP or dealer invoice price so that I can see how good a deal you are getting.

    Hi khanzh. The money factor that you were quoted is much higher than Audi Financial Services' buy rate for this model. This means that either your lease is being run through an independent bank so that the dealer that you are working with can use the $4,000 dealer cash that is available on this car or the dealer is marking your money factor up significantly. AFS' current buy rate for a 36 month lease of an '07 Q7 3.6 Premium is only .00014 for consumers who pay a security deposit at lease signing.

    I can't seem to find the car I need or want. One part of me needs a practical solution to taking the in-laws with us; the other part of me doesn't want to lose the fun or feel of driving something interesting, so the search continues.

    I dropped into a NJ Audi dealer today on my way home from looking at an 08' Highlander Limited. This dealer has a ton of 07's left on his lot and he was very eager to make a deal. Toyota quoted me 769. for a 36 mo./15K on a 42K Highlander Limited. Too much for this car I thought.

    Could you give numbers for an 07' Q7 3.6 Premium, 36/15K, and numbers for the equivilent 08'? If I can get a Q7 for less than a Highlander (and it looks like I should be able to), it's a no brainer...

    Also, any lease money/holdbackers attached to the Q7's?

  • I wanted to know if what was offered to me was worth taking. I am being offered lease for an 2007 Audi Q7, 3.6l, premium package, 19 in alloys, sunroof, intertaiment package, w/ ipod connection with these conditions, no money down

    MSRP: $54,450
    Dealer invoice: $51,950
    Residual: 51%
    12k miles per year
    rate: .00029

    Payments would be $724 including tax.

    It would not include Audi Care, I would have to pay a bank aquisition of $575 and paper work by the dealer of $175.

    Your thoughts?

    Why wouldn't you get AudiCare? It pays for itself on lease. They bump up your residual value - hence, becomes no cost. I would think on a leftover 2007 - you could get below invoice at this point. Otherwise - get an 2008. I bought mine in Feb (basically the same car with tech package) and got a 54% residual and an implied lease rate less than 1%. I bought for $52500ish - six months ago.
