Determine your best price - could be better than invoice - then subtract the $1750. Any dealer offer will likely already include the incentive.

With those prices, I get $700/mo

Either:
1. MF is marked up, or
2. CAP cost is higher than the selling price

My calculation assumes all taxes and fees are paid up front; add approximately $30/mo for every $1000 of taxes and fees you decide to add to the monthly payment.

I counter with $750 firm, he said can not do. he offered 42 months for $750 ? that same deal as $765 for 36m? I think at $750 he is not willing to go below invoice with the $1,750 cash. If I come up $760 he might take the offer.

42 * 750 = $31,500
36 * 765 = $27,540

You tell me if it's the same deal.....

42 * 750 = $31,500
36 * 765 = $27,540

You tell me if it's the same deal.....

With a lower residual for 42 months, it could be.

another dealer offer $710 but for 39 months. the MSRP is 64,538 and selling price is 58,176 after the $1,750 cash . what is residual for 39 m ? for 15k I know they increase the terms to get you the payment but most time is not a good deal.

39 month residual is 2% lower than 36 months

I'm looking to pick up a RX450hl for the growing family and here's what the dealer in Escondido, CA (92029) offered:

2018 RX 450hL Premium
MSRP - $58,713
Lease - $589 per month
36 months at 12K per year
$4,999 due at signing
MF - .00060
Residual - .57
$6,000 CAR (I'm guessing this is cash rebates?)

I know that the MF is marked up from the previous posts and that the DAS is pretty high. Any advice on what I could counter with to make this a good deal for me? I had someone tell me on a different forum to lower the DAS to $2,000 max.

The first thing you want to do is find out the selling price for that terrible quote.

Second, in CA, you only want to give the dealer the first payment and DMV costs when you sign the paperwork. Roll all the other fees and such into the monthly payment.

.00035 and 57%, and $1750 lease cash.

Find a price you want to target, subtract the lease cash from it, and see where that leads you.

I'm working with a dealer in 92029 and 92692 for the same RX 450hL in my previous post. I proposed the following changes to the offer from the 92029 dealer.

MSRP - $58,713
Selling Price - $50,000 ($6K discounted price + $1750 rebate)
Money Factor: .00035
Due at signing: $2,027 (no down payment, only 1st month's payment and doc/acquisition/license fees)

They said that my offer was more suited for a regular RX, not an L. I was probably too aggressive with my offer but I wanted to have some wiggle room to counter anything they back with. I told them that the .00060 from their offer didn't match Edmunds but they said that the information from 3rd party sites are often incorrect. Is there anything I can do to counter this?

They also confirmed that their original offer was already discounted and I'm waiting to hear back on what the discount actually was.

The numbers did just change

36/12 on RX450HL - .00045 and 56%.

Tell them you won't sign unless you get the base rate; only takes one dealer to meet your numbers.

I could've probably gotten a lower purchase price and DAS but needed the ride for the growing family.
