lexhou...Well, visited the Lexus dealer in WPB FL and negotiated a deal for the ES350. No UL as expected but it had all of the other options I had wanted. The MSRP was 41126 and after going back and forth a little we ended up with 37000 before taxes and fees. I thought I had a pretty good deal (approx 9% off) but while setting up financing the one fee they got me for was unexpected and that was the Dealer Service Fee for 599.95!! So after taxes and fees it was 40269. Did I get screwed on that 599 dealer service fee? Was that negotiable? Just wondering but the deal is doen and we have the car and my wife loves it.

    HW...congrats on your new Purchase.
I would say all in all not a bad deal. Based on the #s you listed you were in the 10 % disc range which is excellent...and yes beleive they may have got you on dealer serv chg definitely could have neg that one...havent heard of it. Even addding that you ended in 9% off msrp which is good....not bad at all imo and more importantly as long as the experience was very positive in the scheme of things you move on and enjoy the ride....you did way better than average. Mine has been set for few weeks now ( p/u 3/15 ) aprox 9.8% disc and I could go back and haggle for couple more hundred $s tell them im worried about publicity such and such but dont feel that is Professional to do. BTW what color did you all get.

kstate.....have you been to dealer yet just curious how your search is going.

lexhou...My wife wanted the Starfire Peal which was similiar to her white 03 ES300. Good to hear the deal was prett good. I had all my numbers worked up but when I got at the dealer they had a few more options than I really needed and thus the reason for going back and forth a little. They originally wanted 37800 and just explained 37000 was my limit and would take the car today and they agreed. My sales guy was great and was a good experience. Yes, I could have stopped and haggled over the 599 but chose not to do it. Wow, 9.8% is a great discount. 3/15 is right around the corner so I hope it works out for you. Also didn't purchase the extended warranty. That's really a tough decision since I never used the one we had on the 03. But all those electronics. Maybe I'll revisit that one.

hw....I think you made a wise choice with leaving the warranty alone for now. My self going to wait till I get in the 40,000 mileage range before 50k warranty runs out and prob purch then. I've learned the ex. warranty is very negotiable and can be obtained from any Lexus dealer ( wouldnt purch from 3rd party..just me ) heard $ 1300-1400 is great deal for 6-7 yr @ 100,000...retails in $1800-2,000 range. If you care to keep with the ons and goings of ES 350 & Lexus in general.....clublexus.com( forum ) is a great site to follow and ask questions that may come up. Congrats again to you & your Wife and that is a pretty color been couple from club lexus that have put pics of that color...looks very classy.

    hw03,

I have bought my last 2 Lexuses at Lexus of Clearwater in Fl. I too paid the $599.00 fee. Dont feel bad,I dont think it is negotiable despite what someone might say. The one thing that Clearwater Lexus does is offer pickup of your car for service ,and leaves you a loaner car, So whereever you might be,at work, the hair stylist, they come to you. Makes me feel like I get something for the $599 add on. I am not aware of another Fl dealer who offers the service. Enjoy your car.
  • lexhoulexhou Member Posts: 81
I guess should have clarified that is not a fee that is charged here in Tx....either way as i mentioned he got a good deal.....different States I'm sure have diff fees etc....it all washes it out.
  • hw03hw03 Member Posts: 9
Thanks for info on the dealer fee of 599. At least I'm not the only one paid it. I still feel good about the deal and the experience.

That's really a great service to pick up the car at your home. I know our dealer will provide a rental but we live approx 35 miles from the dealer so I doubt it. Actually, I've never asked if they provide that service.
  • nfjnrnfjnr Member Posts: 25
I am also approx. 35 miles away from the dealer.About a month ago when my car went in for the recall work, the driver who bought me the loaner and drove my car to the dealer told me he has gone as far as Miami to pick up and drop off. Lexus of Clearwater is very customer service oriented. Lexus of Tampa Bay, which is owned by the same corporation, sells more cars but does not offer the service. But they do charge the $599 fee..

Thanks to the members of this forum for sharing information. We finally purchased a 2010 ES 350 (Smoky Granite with Grey interior).

Paid 36995 + TTL for the car with MSRP of 41501. The car has the following options:

    Z2
    FS
HH (Comes with perforated leather in the South west of US according to the dealer)
    NV
    HL
    PA
    WU
    HN

It appeared that there was a rebate of $1000 and this price is after the rebate. Do not know whether others buying the car have seen this or not.

Thanks again to the forum members and good luck to you all.

Has anyone looked into a deal on SwapaLease where a dealer is offering 36 mo. leases for $275/mo with $3000 up front? It's a base sedan with 833 miles/mo allowance. Avalons are more at $395/mo????? Do you take delivery from a local dealer?

    Look toward the bottom:

    Thanks everybody for your input.
I purchased 2010 ES 350 with the following options:
FULL-SIZE SPARE, (HH), (HID),(HL), (PA), (NV), (WU)
MSRP: $41,215 for $36,000, minus trade-in, plus tax and total of $422 for fees and registration.

I used this site search to find other purchase messages for the similar car. I forwarded links that I found to different Lexus dealers to see who can come close to the prices reported at the inks below:
    http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.f0cb415/2331#MSG2331
    http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.f0cb415/2291#MSG2291
    http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.f0cb415/2265#MSG2265

The last link mentioned Lexus Greenwich CT, where I finally got my car.
Their internet sales consultant was great and negotiated trade-in over the phone as well as the car price.

It was an easy an fair deal. Thanks to all the forum members and good shopping.

Can anyone tell me what they paid for a 2010 Lexus ES 350 with HDD Nav and the ultra luxury pkg. within the last couple of months (I'm in Austin, TX). Any suggestions for other options? Is DVD audio worth getting if I plan to keep the car a long time? **Has anyone had any dealings with factorydiscountwarranty.com? Would appreciate any feedback and suggestions. Thanks loads. This is a great site.

jlady3.....not sure how much luck you will have finding the UL pkg down here in the SW area...they are few & far betw . I'm in Houston area...but purch in Dallas...fully loaded with exception of ML stereo..stock stereo is adequate. mine came with nav.-bluetooth , prem plus pkg---rear shade, heated/air seats, lip spoiler, perforated leather,etc---msrp $ 41,820 . I added tint, 3m clear shield from individual who does work for Lexus, Infinity. Wanted those done back in Houston for warranty purposes. good luck on finding UL pkg or any New ES350 that you may purchase.

Hi, I bought a ES350 (graphite with black interior) on 4/15/2010 for $35,300 plus fees from Stevens Creek Lexus. I was going to pay cash for it, but current 1.9 APR for 5 years was too good to pass. with $0 down and approx $680 a month, total interest for 5 year is about $1,900. I was pleased with the quick and professional service there.
  • lexhoulexhou Member Posts: 81
congrats on your Purchase. i recently purch 2010 on 3/15....just fyi I got 2.9 % @ 36 mos and my interest is aprox 1260.00 but plan on paying off in 24-27 mo period and will pay less than 1k of interest so just saying if your able to pay xtra ea month you can substantially reduce the interest if you paid off in 3- 4yrs whil;e still having 1.9 % int . Either way I hope you enjoy the vehicle as much as I am...VERY solid drive is best way to describe vehicle.

/what is the best price anyone has seen for a new 2010 Lexus ES 350 Premium ( no navigation)out the door all included except tag ?
  • dlpixdlpix Member Posts: 2
is that price before sales tax ?
  • rodivarodiva Member Posts: 11
Hi, yeah that is before tax and other fees. the MSRP was $40,686 I think.

It came with heated/vented seats, power rear sunshade, navigation, parking assit, wood/leater steering wheel/shift knob, rear bumper applique and full size spare.

Originally i wanted ultra luxury package but they only had one. after some thoughts i felt what i got was good enough.

i havent driven this car much since i bought it 2 weeks ago, only has about 55 miles. I am wanting to get 3M protection film and winding tinting. I just got a quote for $800 (discount price)....sounds like a lot but I was told this type of job takes entire day. Does anyone know where to get it for better price? the one I got quoted was something called "Venture Shield" film protection, goes on hood, bumper, fender and mirror.

    any idea? thanks guys.
  • lexhoulexhou Member Posts: 81
Rodiva....had my clear sheild - 3m product & Tint put on after purchase for 390.00 everything you listed except bumper . WAs quoted 325.00 for bumper..said it took quite bit to cover that area....didnt feel bumper was neccessary to do being bumper applique was applied which prevents scracthes from trunk area. Shop that did mine did all the work for Lexus, Infiniti, Mercedes dealerships that were within 5 mins from his shop....he did an excellent job. i would go to serv dept and ask if they could refer you to someone who does this . Just like pinstiping most if not all dealers have this done from someone outside the dealer itself. Good luck !
  • twinbtwinb Member Posts: 140
Tell the guy who quoted you $800 to pretend it's a Chevy. $800 is twice the going price for the job, & the material is not even 3M which is the standard. I'd steer clear of that shop.
  • dperonedperone Member Posts: 14
I also live on the East Coast (NJ). Would love to know where you got this deal. I can put you as a referral (and typically you get some sort of gift from the dealership)

MSRP, $41,215. Bought the car for $38,000. Got 17k for my 07 MKZ with 23k miles.
Bought in Richmond, Va. Another dealer was 3k more between trade and price of car! Matador Red/Parchment. Very easy to deal with.

I am looking at either purchasing or leasing a 2010 ES350. As of right now I have been presented with FS HL NV WU HH HN PA Z2 (If this means anything to anyone) for 40583.52 for purchase after TTL and discounts or 584.00 for 18,000 miles per year on a 4 year lease. This car seams to have all options minus the ML sound system and the dual sunroof. This is the first offer i have received out of the gates from them. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i should come back with based on past experience with this same vehicle? I am purchaisng in Dallas. Any help would be greatly apreciated.
  • lexhoulexhou Member Posts: 81
I purchased the exact same veh in March @ Sewell Lexus-Dallas...only exception I was able to add lip spoiler @ Port Entry...210.00 extra.

Not very up on leasing options so no help there....but I pulled up docs & I pd 40425 incl fees & ttl...so about 350.00 less being I also had lip spoiler on pkg...pin stripe had been put on when I showed up to purchase vehicle....keeping in mind i did everything over ph..email...I actually live in Houston suburbs but purch in Dallas . All in all not bad deal seems at or very close to invoice, mine was about 200.00 under inv . very smooth transaction excellent salesman. I got 2.9 % interest @ 36 mos...currently offering 1.9 % so excellent time to purch...Good Luck !
  • hellenahellena Member Posts: 2
    drd8, thanks for the info.
I am getting a quote of $37599 +TTL for $41501 MSRP. Is this a good deal or still room to negotiate? I see internet invoice is $500 less than what the dealer say. Is the dealer making it up?
The dealer is Sewell of Dallas.
  • lexhoulexhou Member Posts: 81
for what its worth...IMO that is good deal ! I bought @ Sewell in March and received very similar deal....just slightly more disc % wise I got, BUT you are within 100-200.00 from my deal so maybe little wiggle room but I doubt much. Also that quote is just below Lexus Invoice. I purchased exact vehicle only added lip spoiler which I believe gives nice finish to rear . Good Luck !!

Thank you. I am really enjoying my ES350. This is my first Lexus. I drove a Honda for 10 years (I was surprised how much money they gave me for my Honda with 200+ miles), so this is a big jump for me. The salesman at PP was execellent. I did everything by email and phone. Called on Monday and purchased the vehicle the following Wednesday. The financing was smooth as well. Although I prefer the 1.9 vs. the 2.9, but I am happy with my deal and the vehicle. I thought about getting the spoiler and the chrome wheels, but decided not to purchase the items, due to costs $500.00 spoiler and $1500.00 for the wheels. Now, I regret not getting the items to the vehicle.
  • lexhoulexhou Member Posts: 81
I got the spolier @ dealer cost - 209.00 but only because he was able to have it done @ Port enrty where they have access to add things of this nature . Would have been about 400--500 if done @ dealer because they have to pay one of their hourly workers to do install, etc. Not sure why more dont come with lip spoiler its' so subtle ( not loud ) gives nice sport look to back end imo.
