For more power why not just get the GX470. I did a month ago and i got it for 9K under MSRP. I looked at MDX ML350 and the RX350, The GX, while not a gas sipper, is the best value in luxury. I don't have a long commute so the gas even 4/gal isn't going to be too bad. GX's are no way near as common as the RX too which makes driving it also kind of special. Check it out and look at the dealers inventory of them.

There are just too many RXs out there on the road and even though it might be best value SUV out there, there is just nothing special. Any suggestions for alternatives. By the way how much did you drop on the GX 470. I think most RX deals, you can get about 5-7K off MSRP. Any comments from others?

    Houston Kevin,

Could you let me know the names of Lexus dealers with such offer please? I am from Houston and on the market for 2009 RX350 FWD with the same options.

    Thanks in advance.

Sandra, the trims I was quoted was the Pebble Beach rather than the Eddie Bauer which carries a MSRP of something like 5K and the dealer in LA quoted me about 41K. I think I might get it down to 40K if I try hard enough. My logic is that if you pay another 2.5K you get a more customized trim with NAV.
Once the NAV is installed it is not possibel to take out so advamtage is on is to negotiate a reasonable markup on the system. I know we can buy a quality NAV system from Best Buys for 300-400 tops but it is not built-in to the vehicle.
I have compared for awhile the RX 350, with the Acura RDX, MDX , Infiniti EX, FX and believe it is a safe bet for mid size SUV under 40K. I was holding on the 10 RX350 but the reviews sofar have been disappointing.

    Hi everyone,

I'm looking to buy a 09 RX 350 AWD with nav and premium plus package. Do you guys think that I should just wait till like next mid Jan. to buy? thinking the 2010 model is coming out, the car industry isn't doing that good.... the manufacturer gotta have some incentives to the dealer to get rid of the 09 right? on the flip side dealers might want to pump the book for the year end. any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi There what dealership did you get this price from? thats a great deal
  • jack7275jack7275 Member Posts: 5
    Here's the deal: $525 monthly w $2981 at closing(including 1st month lease)

    MSRP $46,241: residual 52 +2%= $24970;
    CapCost $41,347
    36 month lease 12,000 miles/yr: excess mileage of $.25/mile

Car Includes: Graphite Paint ,heated seats, Gen 5 Nav, Lux Edition (Premium Plus--I think), cargo mats wheel locks.
    were in Suffolk County, NY.

    What do you think?
  • bentonyuebentonyue Member Posts: 5
I think it is good deal esp with 525/month. The deal is about 100/month more than the the internet special which is for 10K per year. Enjoy.....
  • jack7275jack7275 Member Posts: 5
Thx-Bentonyue- where is the internet deal-- how do I find it?
  • Boston001Boston001 Member Posts: 6
Hi all, I just received a quote from a dealer in Boston area, would like to have comments and see if this is a good deal:

-MSRP: $43591 (09 RX350 AWD, FV HH PT WL C1 and TO)
-$2500 down (including all - first month, cap, reg, [non-permissible content removed], fees, taxes; i.e, drive off total upfront)
    -$389/month, + tax (5% in MA)
    -10K per year

I'm trying to get 12K, not sure if the dealer will accept it. They also told me the offer is only valid for today, but I just don't like those "push" words: only for today, or pay deposit to reserve the car with your credit card right now.. therefore, I didn't go and sign the contract. I'm sure the car will be still there for next week.

Any comments/advices are greatly appreciated. At the mean time, I'm looking at a '08 FX35, with only 5k miles, fully loaded with everything, the dealer offers $500 including tax, $0 upfront down, simply drive off and pay $500 from month 2.

I've also looked at the '09 Murano, a local dealer is promoting with $189/month, $3k down for S model, 15k a year, not bad...

My friends in the gym told me that the RX350 is for star bucks lady or soccer mom, not for a young guy,,,

I'm totally confused now,, don't know what to do, but I do need a car by Dec. 09, since my current lease is ending...

    Thanks all!
    -Dave in Boston

Can you PLEASE send me the name of the dealership you purchased your RX350?

    Thank you!
  • smr36smr36 Member Posts: 59
Dave: You have a whole year before your lease expires (Dec '09), so why the stress? Are you so insecure about your masculinity that you are concerned about what your friends at the gym think about your interest in an RX350? BTW, the RX is popular, highly rated, is driven by both genders and for good reason. A new version in the 2010 model year goes on sale in Feb. '09 so you should be able to get a good deal on any left over '09 models at that time.

My opinion is that the RX is the best of the vehicles you are considering.

    Steve in San Diego.
  • rucrazyrucrazy Member Posts: 7
Hi Dave. I agree with Steve - you should not feel that the RX350 is girly car. My husband loves it and we are trying to get an 09 (my lease runs out Jan 1 09).

Does anyone have the residual and money factors for December on a RX350, AWD, no nav, premium pkg for 15K 24 and 36 month leases? I see the same old December to Remember leasing programs that have been in place since late October. I would think the economic decline would have affected Lexus as well...

    Thanks!

    Hi Steve and smr36,

Thanks for the comments. typo, my current lease is up by Dec. 09, 2008, next Tuesday. What I got fromt he dealer is that for 36 months 10k lease, the residual is 56% and MF is .00105 (2.52% APR, I guess).

Also, the dealer offered me a better deal today up to 12K, $20k down, and $411 a month for 36 mons.

Looking to buy an 08 or 07 RX 350. Anyone know what the best PreOwned Lexus Finance Rates are as of December 08??

The 09 RX is at 2.9%. Any information is appreciated.
  • chucko3chucko3 Member Posts: 793
Good deal. You got at least $2K below invoice.
    Where is your dealer?

I'm currently in the market for a new RX350 and found out that there is a $2500 rebate that dealers can give and are willing to give. I've recently received the following quote from a local dealer (NoCAL). He was willing to give the rebate and more on top of the invoice price. Let me know what you think of the deal and if there are more incentives that I should be asking for.

Btw... the close certificate of $1,000 that others have referred expired last month.

    MSRP Price: $47,661
    Invoice Price: $42,779
    Selling Price: $39,900
  • bentonyuebentonyue Member Posts: 5
They should have a similar deal in December, With the 2010 RX350 release right around the corner, Lexus should me incentize to move the remaining 2010 model from their lot. Anyone wants to chime in? :):(
  • laserslasers Member Posts: 5
It is a very good price, now, what options do you have? I paid 41K for RX350 (09 model) with premium package, 18 inch(the larger one) wheel, navigation /back up camera, the blue tooth, all leather, breakwater metallic color.

I am at north east ohio, so I cannot bargain too much at all. There are only to dealers within 75 miles, unlike southern CA. I got this price after somebody introduced me to the sales manager. 2500 down, 3yrs lease at 470 a month. Fair price. I leased it because there is 2010 450H (300 hp total) right around the corner.

Once I got a good conversation with the Lexus owner , he is willing to agree my proposed price, any amount. But, remember the sales persons, the service people, janiotrs,... need hand to mouth living too, yes, for their family. If you are fair you will drive out the dealer with a clear conscience in your mind and quite happy and proud within yourself. This is more important above anything. You may get at 35K, but we need to think about fairness and to get these people employed.

Bon chance pour votre voiture d'achat

I am interested in purchasing the RX 350 with premium pkg and nav/bluetooth pkg. Was quoted today 37,500 plus tax, tag and fees. Any feedback....good price or not?
  • bentonyuebentonyue Member Posts: 5
Lasers: Well spoken especially during these difficulty times. There is no end to the bottom line cost for the vehicle. It is a tough world out there and we need to care for others as well and as feel good ourself. We are lucky enough to buy nice vehicles but there are there are others that are struggling to feed their family.Just look at homeless population in downtown LA.Consideration for others are important as well.

Point well taken guys... I understand the economic situation we are in and will take that into consideration during my negotiations. Just remember though, the dealers also get holdbacks from the factory for each car they sell, so they are not in a crunch as you might think.

But anyways... the options on the car with the MSRP price of $47,661 are as follows:

    AWD
Premium Plus Pkg. with Luxury Value Edition
    Mark Levinson with Navigation
    Heated Front Seats w/ RS
    Tow Prep. Pkg.

    MSRP Price: $47,661
    Invoice Price: $42,779
    Selling Price: $39,900

    Good luck!

    Hi Mygoch,
where did you hear about this $2500 rebate is this a new one for this month?
never mind I just found it. Am I reading this right but $2500 Dealer cash may not be combined with 0.9% APR - 2.9 % APR and vehicle must be financed through the manufacturer's captive finance company.

Does that mean they cant combine with financing?
  • mygochmygoch Member Posts: 5
    Hi Edleevm,

After talking to the sales rep., I was under the impression that you can combine the rebate with financing. I am planning on getting the financing and I believe the sales rep. knew of my intentions. I'm not sure if he is saying it to just get us in the door, but we will find out soon enough as I will be making the purchase tomorrow.

I'm sure if he isn't going to allow it, other dealers may be open to it.

    Tow Prep. Pkg.

    MSRP Price: $47,661
    Invoice Price: $42,779

Not sure that the Lexus people will extend the "deals" past Jan 5th as they have invested large sums into their "Remember December " program and they will tick off many December bargain buyers if they lower and or extend these "deals". They all claim that they are selling relatively well and are picking up Mercedes and BMW crossover people.
  • edleevmedleevm Member Posts: 6
Mygoch those are pretty good numbers is that with the new incentives? and financing
  • mygochmygoch Member Posts: 5
Yes... Those numbers are with $2,500 cash rebate (off invoice) and some extra $$ discounts for being persisent. They are also offering 0.9% financing for 36 months if I qualify (750 credit score or higher I believe).
  • 5732smd5732smd Member Posts: 2
Can someone please give me info re: the 2500 rebate. (Is this recent?)
Is this off of the invoice price?
    Will the 0.9 / 1.9 / 2.9 % financing still apply ??
Will the close certificate also apply?

What other "extras" should I try to negotiate? ( cargo mats, floor mats, loaner car for life, "X" number of oil changes, etc.)

I think I have a pretty good offer from the dealer, but I just want to get the best deal.

Any and all help is appreciated -- Thank you !!!
  • chamferchamfer Member Posts: 16
We were able to get $40,220 for RX 350 prem plu with nav. out the door price.

With the $2,500 cash rebate, were you able to get a better deal??
  • edleevmedleevm Member Posts: 6
    Hi Chamfer
is this for AWD or FWD?
  • chucko3chucko3 Member Posts: 793
Is it an AWD? What is the price before tax &TTL?

There is one person here got $8K off the MSRP of $46,241.
There is another person got $9K off for the non-navi.

I am purchasing a 2009 Lexus RX350 FWD with the NAV system and the Premium Package Plus. I have a price of $37,400... out the door at $40,914. We are using the .9% financing but have not been offered an option of $2,500 instead. I thought the $2,500 was manufacturer to dealer. Is a good price? We are in Southern California
  • dealmaker2008dealmaker2008 Member Posts: 47
If you are financing you should get the best deal. Which Southern Califoriia dealer are you working with? Who much is your down payment. Let me know. I understand there is a shortage of AWD at least at Longo.
  • 4joy4joy4joy4joy Member Posts: 10
We are putting $10,000 down and using the .9% for 36 months. I have been working with 3 dealers and autoland. Keyes, Oxnard and Tustin Lexus. The best price so far-- out the door at $40,900. I was thinking this was still a bit high...that $39,000 would be a fair price for all but I am not sure...I know Tustin has AWD but I am not sure about the others as we are looking for the FWD
